I've been listening to lbc today discussing this. I am thankful to those poor children and teachers who were robbed of life in that horrific way, and subsequently their families and community that brought about the ban on handguns.

Can you imagine what state our streets would be in if this ban hadn't happened?

It Is like looking someone in the eye and saying well no girls were murdered in Southport. I know it is more recent but I can remember Dunblane like it was yesterday.
Go and ask Andy Murray’s family - obviously none of their children were murdered but it deeply affected them.
It is absolutely horrendous because people outside the UK won’t know all of the details of Dunblane.

What he said was utterly despicable, nothing to do with who he was. Gun laws were not changed for one murder. They were changed for the murder of 16 young children. Is that not worth changing a law for?
