None of the major parties are competing…

Farage won Clacton with 46% of the vote…

If the 54% united together to vote for Binface, we could have the most preposterous election outcome of all time!

I reckon this could get some genuine momentum… all the other parties would LOVE this result, and even if they didn’t actively campaign for it, would surely quietly be gunning for Binface to win.

Not necessarily. I worked in a former mining area, there were pockets of deep deprivation, none of those people chose for the pits to close. Many of those who were able to moved away but some never got jobs which paid as much as mining again. In some ways the ones who suffered the most were the next generation who didn't have an automatic job to go to. There are new jobs but not the same skilled well paid work. The effects have gone down the generations.

A private members bill can cap the price that people charge for things. It needs to say no one may charge more than 99p for an 99 in Clacton and the surrounding areas, all the other party's (except reform) will support old binny. I'm sure Binface will find a way to deliver his promises. He seems like that kind of bin.

More problems for Reform/Farage.

The police are investigating donations from Posh George's mother to Reform.

It's not clear how she managed to donate £500K, and the suspicion is that her name/bank account was being used to disguise their source.

It gets murkier and murkier and if appropriate, I hope criminal charges follow. NF may ask his orange mate in Washington for guidance, but the bottom line is that he is one of 8 MPs and not the (supposed) leader of the Western world, so that won't work the same for him.

It has been done on energy prices. We have the energy price cap - it sets a cap on the amount that is charged per unit. Some energy companies went bust.

An independent regulator placing a price cap on essential goods sold by oligopolies to ensure that people can afford basic energy costs is a wholly different economic and political policy to an MP dictating the price that small private businesses can charge for a particular ice cream product. What if they went rogue and decided to charge a quid? Do you think they’ll get carted off to the tower?!
