I think it's adorable. If someone lovingly home made this for me, I'd be delighted (& I'm 47!!). I know my 9 year old DD would love it too. Very cute & not embarrassing.

I think it's great you made the effort it looks fine and it probably will taste lovely. I made my son a sonic cake once, it looked a bit shit but he was well pleased with it. It's mad to spend £££ on a cake.
