Driving home from work tonight to the main news stories on the radio being 1) man tortures adopted baby to death and 2) man arrested after child ends up in crocodile enclosure at zoo.

I am absolutely sick of the daily onslaught of problematic men, monsters, committing outrages. That’s all, no suggestions, just AIBU to be sickened by this constant stream of beasts who live amongst us (Gisele Pelicot’s husband, recent terrorist attacks, daily murders of women by men) combined with personal experiences of men who ‘you wouldn’t have thought it to look at him’ turning out to be sex pests and paedophiles is putting me right off them as a sex class. Not your man, not your son, not my (lovely) Dad, but all the other men… how do we know which ones?

Its hard not to conclude it’s a man problem.

But that is not what this thread is about. Its not a competition who is worse. I hate it when people defend these types of men we are talking about by totally dismissing it and stating that women are worse! 🤔

I'm surprised, by the sort of things CM said during the trial, that she isn't considered mentally ill.

So after coming on here and explaining your anger and possibly hatred towards just about all men, I wonder how many women who have posted in this thread, will be giving there wonderful father's a card / gift tomorrow. I wonder how many of you will watch as your wonderful husband/partner will receive a card/gift from your wonderful son (or daughter), how many of you will go for family meals to say thank you to all the wonderful men in your lives. Then how many of you will be back on here saying how much you hate men.

My Dad's not getting a card. He's a git.

To be honest, I have to say this - how do those lovely, little, pure babies, become such monsters? They were all born as innocent babies. And then when they grow up they are monsters!!! Is this due to how they have been raised? They watched violence at home, aggressive dads, mums who beaten them and then they hate all the women, have mental health issues.... Is it all down to the things at home? What about those who were raised in a loving home and one day they take a gun and shoot their peers in school? And it is true, they are all men and boys. This world scares me.

”Not all men…” I’m not sure I believe that. Maybe there are a few exceptions. But I know plenty women who would swear their husband is a good, decent man. Meanwhile others know about the heinous behaviour they engage in behind her back.

Think of all the men you work with having affairs and their wives none the wiser, and that’s before you get to rapists and pedophiles. .

A man can only have an affair if a woman is is willing, so therefore both are as bad. This also works the other way round, how many women have affairs. Both sexes are just as bad in this scenario.

Not all men, but nearly always men. Let’s look at arguably the most prominent and powerful man in the world, Donald Trump, the orange kiddy fiddler, very clearly has abused women and continues to degrade them at every turn, yet there he is, cheered on and elected by millions. I’m sick to my soul to be raising daughters who have to live in this rotten world.

Sometimes women are deceived into relationships with 'single' men, the undercover cops is an extreme example. Or the women who are told he's leaving her and they're only staying together 'for the kids'. I don't believe it happens so much the other way. I agree some women will definitely go into affairs in full possession of all the facts.

I completely agree with the undercover police situations, that disgusts me. I don't know what happened to those involved which cases were highlighted, but I literally hope the book was thrown at them.

Women are overwhelmingly the parents / guardians / teachers of the men involved in those crimes
