Thought I would create a thread for all the everyday irritations that are too petty to share but get your blood up. Whether your oestrogen and agreeableness has deserted you or you are just generally feeling a bit pissed off with things- I feel it’s always better to get it off your chest. And in that spirit-I will begin…

I have a lovely relationship with Vinted (I buy too much shit on here) but it really gets on my nerves when people:

  1. post photos of shoes with foot cheese evident all over the soles (ick).
  2. soneone posts something with a stain saying ‘it will come out in the wash’. So wash it you dirty gopper.

Also ‘DH’ stop leaving your dribbling toothbrush and bog blocking shites in the loo for me to tackle. Fucking beast.

That is all today.

Possibly…..

Humidity. It's ridiculous here, temp is going down slowly so it's 'only' 39C, feels like is 43C. But it's 70% humidity and we had a fire alarm this morning 🥵

thenightsky · 04/09/2026 10:05

We were forecast a sunny day today so I put a massive wash on and now its raining. Angry

TigerRag · 04/09/2026 11:25

The weather. It's trying to rain here but it's too warm for a jacket

MinnieMountain · 04/09/2026 11:29

The cat killed a bird overnight and left a mess in the office.

It's my first non-working day since DS went back to school and it's been pissing it down all morning. I was going to read my book at the lido after my swim, then do some gardening.

Tarkan · 04/09/2026 11:58

My body not letting me sleep well overnight.

The workmen next door who are replacing our neighbour’s windows who sound like they’re taking the whole wall down. I finally fell asleep around 8am yesterday after struggling all night and was woken up not long after because our whole bedroom was shaking with whatever they were doing.

JustAnotherWhinger · 05/09/2026 11:20

Two faced people.

And people who think that when a situation with a child is going well it’s because “big family effort, everyone pulling together” yet when it’s not going well “you’re the guardian and you’re not doing it well enough”.

Noisy people.

actually just people today.

That fly that can't fly out of the bloody window it came through

That fly that can't fly out of the bloody window it came through

There are some great sketches about this on IG and YouTube: top tip, flies go towards the light so pull the curtains closed most of the way but leave a gap opposite the open window so it's darker in the room than outside. They should then leave voluntarily!

DH has just got people to pencil in dinner for his family at ours and made people move stuff around for a day after I'm away for a day (which is in the diary), just before we move our oldest to uni and then I had arrangements to see some friends (made a month or two ago) and then do a meal for my family on the Monday night. Which is a bit much and if this goes ahead I have to reschedule with my friends. I wouldn't mind so much but sometimes when he's in a mood and I have made some suggestion to do something he's had a massive go at me for 'making it a fair accompli' when all I need to do and am usually 100% willing to do is say 'OK, we'll not do that then' but he did all this without checking with me and now other people are shifting their arrangements around it.

@Bolloxtoitall
disclaimer onhavent read the whole thread so i may be off course.
but what pissed me off today is that we re walking our dog on the beach, this boy 11-14 yes old is walking his dog and clearly bored. Strike a concersation with my husband but im i m in no mood for entertaining a child that isnt mine given mine were either at home or at hockey. So i walk quickly further up from them - my husband beinf nicer than me at that moment strike a convo with him qnd answer his questions. Eventually i said “thanos have a good day”. I know i was bordeline rude but i coundlnt take ir any longer, otherwise the teens would have been with us and i didnt have the bandwidth 🤣🤣

worldshottestmom · 06/09/2026 20:53

When you spend months flirting with and talking to a guy at work and him reciprocating and talking outside of work too only for him to announce online today that he has a new girlfriend, who works with us 😃

When, on the same day, your psycho ex decides to turn up at your house and tries to physically attack you 😃

When you apply for 16 new jobs and get 7 rejections in a day 😃

worldshottestmom · 06/09/2026 20:54

Oh and a lighthearted one my darling sweet son keeps giving all of our bottled water to the fucking cat who will only drink out of drains apparently

Florabeebaby · 06/09/2026 20:55

That I'm having test no 6 next week for abdo issues that have been going on for 5 months.
I'm tired of tests and being poked and prodded at. I'm so done. I want a diagnosis.

Fuckmyliferightnow · 06/09/2026 21:10

My grandmother just got admitted to hospital in another town and my retired parents have decided to go on holiday still. They seem to have forgotten what it’s like to have a job and kids, so thanks for dropping me in the shit!

This is weird and I am not sure how you got that from my comment on another thread, but ok.

I think I could single-handedly continue this thread with the way I feel at the moment.
The cheeky fuckers pushing ahead in queues in Lidl this morning. It’s not like we’re all fucking waiting and have shit to get on with.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 07/09/2026 14:16

O worker attempting to sabotage everyone’s else’s work.

anyone needing a patio laying? Asking for a friend…

TigerRag · 07/09/2026 15:14

It's 315pm and I'm ready for bed

notafancyusername · 07/09/2026 20:12

DS leaving his attic bedroom window open when he's out (against my advice because it's spider season) and then waking me up at 1am to vacuum a massive spider .
Then doing Tik Tok live at 3am and getting upset about me telling him to stop

Tarkan · 07/09/2026 21:51

It’s been a mostly beautiful sunny day here today.

Until every time I left the house and it rained heavily on me. The dog isn’t too impressed either.

TigerRag · 08/09/2026 15:08

The weather. Pissing it down whilst I was out this morning. We now have sunshine

(On a happier note at least the grass is green from the rain!)

The cost of train tickets. Still expensive with a railcard
