Thought I would create a thread for all the everyday irritations that are too petty to share but get your blood up. Whether your oestrogen and agreeableness has deserted you or you are just generally feeling a bit pissed off with things- I feel it’s always better to get it off your chest. And in that spirit-I will begin…

I have a lovely relationship with Vinted (I buy too much shit on here) but it really gets on my nerves when people:

  1. post photos of shoes with foot cheese evident all over the soles (ick).
  2. soneone posts something with a stain saying ‘it will come out in the wash’. So wash it you dirty gopper.

Also ‘DH’ stop leaving your dribbling toothbrush and bog blocking shites in the loo for me to tackle. Fucking beast.

That is all today.

Possibly…..

Being perpetually on NHS waiting lists for various things and never getting seen whilst struggling to keep working full time without the surgery I desperately need.
I've asked to see the haemaologist privately to try and speed things up a bit and I'm still waiting.

ConstanzeMozart · 16/06/2026 11:47
  • need damp work doing in the house. One lot of people are queuing up to come round, inject damp courses and take my money, another lot are throwing up their hands in horror at the idea and insisting it's a full-on restoration job.
  • my new ankle bracelet hurts my ankle.
  • hay fever is back with a vengeance.
  • Royal Mail have lost a parcel I tried to send that would have made me £15 for an item I got in a charity shop for £4.

I'll leave it there.

SleepyWhippetMum · 16/06/2026 11:50

Ex husband sends me a text to say he has a new job and will be dropping from 5 days a fortnight of childcare to 2 from 1st July. When I replied that I also work 8-6 four days a week so we will have to discuss options or he can start paying me child support, I get a barrage of abuse.

I thought when I left him I would get to be free of this kind of bullshit!!

sausageth · 16/06/2026 11:50

The constant overthinking and second guessing I do when it comes to every tiny decision so everything takes far longer than it needs to. I wish my brain could be rewired.

WorstPaceScenario · 16/06/2026 11:52

Shite weather

A Vinted seller who sold me a damaged item as "very good", requested a return, and has left the return sitting at the parcel shop uncollected for a week

JustAnotherWhinger · 16/06/2026 11:53

People commenting on what they would do with our trouble-causing 4yo.

No, Mary, you wouldn’t “be nipping that in the bud”.
No, Jim, you wouldn’t “be removing all toys until he learned some manners”.
No, Steve, you wouldn’t “be laying down the law”.

When he was facing being orphaned and his mother needed help you all said you couldn’t cope so don’t be pretending you have any fucking clue what you would do in our shoes. You wouldn’t ever wear our shoes so piss off with your opinions on what we should be doing.

And suggesting we should be mega harsh on a 4yo who is, after months, grasping the reality of the fact his Mummy isn’t away for a bit, a while, a long time or a period of time that isn’t forever makes me fucking glad you said you couldn’t. So please close your mouth and let me deal with the pre-schooler who is clearly testing to see if I’ll also leave in the way I see fit thanks.

JustAnotherWhinger · 16/06/2026 11:53

Sorry, that was quite a rant.

Purplecatshopaholic · 16/06/2026 11:57

Oh blimey @JustAnotherWhinger, my sympathies.

dh is updating his phone contract. I DO NOT NEED A RUNNING COMMENTARY about how shocking the vodafone website is, or how difficult it is to understand the contract variations, or how he now needs another password. If you need to speak out loud when you're on your computer please go into another room!

Oh and in the space of my writing this he's told me twice that he thinks he's saved £17.

My response "Ah that's nice dear". What I wanted to say was "I'm not f'**ing interested"

Edited

I am very familiar with this view.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 16/06/2026 12:01

I cant amend my supermarket order that's being delivered on Friday. Technical error, supermarket cant amend it either.

I want to add something to take on holiday (leaving Friday night) and cant get whilst im away (remote, no shops). I really dont want to go to a supermarket before then (no time, thats why im having a delivery).

It's usually a pain-free experience <sigh>

haha yes this!!! and they insist they are conversing, having a conversation with you - I DO NOT WANT A RUNNING COMMENTARY ON WHAT YOU ARE DOING YOU DICKHEAD (I want to browse/doomscroll in peace)

MajorProcrastination · 16/06/2026 12:01

Other Vinted related gripes:

People posting second hand clothes at ludicrous prices. Babe, I can't afford it full price, why do you think I'm shuffling through your sloppy seconds? Good luck getting your money back but it's not coming from me.

More so when they've clearly got theirs from a recent sale and you've been trawling the internet for your specific sold out size. I hope no one buys it you greedy cow.

Main gripe is the awful sizing they have on there now. I'll be searching for my size and it'll come up with loads which are a few sizes smaller. Frustrating for me, time wasting for everyone. And it's not the seller's fault - it's the sizing changing after they originally posted it.

Sorry, that was quite a rant.

One that I’m sure we all understand, even if most of us have not had to cope with what you have.

AllaMova · 16/06/2026 12:04

Our cat peed on our rug this morning. We tried cleaning it up, but it has stained it and will now need to be replaced. Not only do we need to buy a new rug, but we need to pay for our old one to be disposed of.

The same cat had a vet appointment yesterday too, so we were trying to reduce our spending since the bill took up our spending money for the month.

FeelingSadToday1 · 16/06/2026 12:10

So many today!

Some epic ones for work that I wont bore you with, but minor ones:

2 larger women (relevant!) at the pool today, in the fast lane, doing one extremely slow length, side by side and then resting at the end of the pool like they were at a swim up bar. I politelymentioned they may be better off in another, slower lane and pointed at the large 'lane etiquette' sign. They did not move and continued to block the lane whilst they stood chatting and at one point, one set off as she saw me coming up to turn and I had to say again (more forcefully) that this lane was not for them. It's a huge pool with multiple lanes, yet they chose mine. I was done at this point so got out, but very annoying.

Work not allowing me to go on a 3 day training course (that they do not have to pay for and is of direct benefit to all the staff where I work, at a shitty time for us) has been declined. I have appealed but if it is declined again, I will not be providing the additional role this training is for.

Can't find a house to buy and no offers on ours (although multiple viewings a week) because the viewers are not getting offers on theirs. Extremely frustrating.

Cats shitting all over my garden!!

The fall out from the social media ban and my removal of YouTube from my almost 8 year old. I am happy to stick this out for a happier and healthier child but it sucks right now. Nice to be able to say 'it's the law!' though as it means I am not the bad guy!

bonkersbongo · 16/06/2026 12:12

I’ve just realised that dh has left my wheelchair in the car, the cars outside, but I cannot lift it out. I’m considering accosted someone walking past to lift it out for me.

troppibambini6 · 16/06/2026 12:16

I’ve ordered new bedding for Ds and it arrives a double duvet cover but no pillow cases! Apparently you have to buy them separately. Fuck you la Redoute.
The politics on Ds under 11s football team. Fuck off with your whispering in corners. They are 11 and despite what you nob head dads think none of them are playing for England.
The airing cupboard. I need to go and clear it out and it needs painting too but my get up and go has left the building.

LuckyHazelFox · 16/06/2026 11:01

Frigging flies in the house. Especially the one bastard that I just can't get rid of in the lounge. It's been buzzing around me for 3 days now.

Vacuum cleaner to get it.

GiantYorkshirePud · 16/06/2026 12:26

Just the constant list of things that need to be done, with 0 time to do them.

Trying to tidy/prepare our house and garden ready to sell, but weve all been hit by a cold/stomach bug and thats been another week gone by.

i’m 7 weeks pregnant, nausea is off the charts, my nose is like a bloodhound, and my poor sweet 16 month old dd has the most awful smelling diarrhoea and i am struggling not to vomit everytime.

Another heatwave is coming and our house heats up like a sauna even on a 21 degree day, never mind a 28 degree day. mentally preparing myself for it.

The ridiculous ‘lady’ opposite, always hollering, screaming, and squawking with her windows wide open, really bizarre. Shes louder than her teenage children. Im dreading england playing the world cup this week as i just know were gonna get 0 sleep because of her.

i cant wait to move house.

Shergill15 · 16/06/2026 12:31

My vile Ex husband who is sending me aggressive and rude messages and questioning my parenting of the child he has pretty much abandoned for the last 8 years. And he is doing this in the knowledge that I am currently in hospital recovering from life saving emergency surgery.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 16/06/2026 12:32

Bolloxtoitall · 16/06/2026 10:20

Colds are shite. Fuckers.

Yes, yes re the laissez-faire attitude of tradies re your time. My experience is they have a very keen sense of their own and always crack our the door at 3/4pm no matter what time they deign to turn up…

Also Next sizing. Make it make sense you twats.

YY re trades and your time. It’s like they have no concept of anyone else’s time being important.

And name me another instance where you hire someone for a job and they tell you what the working hours will be! No you won’t be at mine 7-3 but 9-5! Is what I want to say and never do.

loislovesstewie · 16/06/2026 12:32

Currently trying to get a tradesperson in to do a small job, not something I can do myself. Frustrating as hell! What none of them realise is that if they did it satisfactorily, I would employ them to carry out a much bigger job in the future. If they can't be arsed, neither can I.

Thepossibility · 16/06/2026 12:32

Something smells damp and musty and I can't rest until I know what it bloody is!
