That’s my Friday rant.
Far right men thinking they’re sorting everything out with their riots to protect the women. Maybe women should riot about just men.

also I know it’s not all men, but it is men.

Well it would be pretty hard for women to rape women as we don't have a penis nor the strength that men have. What is the point in this thread stating the flaming obvious.

Goading. OP is a goader

I don't think you can unpick the irrational and childish 'rationale'. If you're coming from the angle that it's only white 'far' right men who are the problem, then it's pointless wasting time trying to reason. In the meantime, it's a great destraction from the real societal threat. I think I will keep my wits about me protecting me and my own, as will many other women.

And yes of course this is wrong. I’m not saying any country or race is better or worse. I’m just saying it’s always fucking men

But are you saying that any country or race is not worse?

As in, you think there are no patterns and all countries/ cultures are the same?

Because to me it does at the moment feel like you want to be the teller of hard truths (that everyone agrees with — it’s men), but when it comes to a truth you find uncomfortable (and some men much more than others) then suddenly not so brave.

I just want proper data on this for the UK. Data from European countries shows a stark disparity in sexual offending rate by country of origin. Men rightly have to face facts: we commit the vast majority of sexual crime. But we shouldn’t be drawing the veil over any offending patterns for reasons of politeness or politics.

I didn't realise only white men see women as chattels. I don't really think you wanting to be opening that can of worms.

Hmm, lack of reading comprehension? Nowhere did I say that or not say that. What I actually think in case you're genuinely interested is there are unfortunately men of all races and ethnicities who see women as property. No culture is free of it. If the racists get their way and we remove all non-whites from the UK, it will still not fix the problem of male violence against women. And what's worse is the far right simply don't care. They have shown they have no genuine interest in women's safety except in that they can use it to further their racist agenda.

LuckyHazelFox · Today 11:17

HobGobblynne · Today 10:13

Of course I can. The situation was unique.

There are lots of situations where the police have failed to carry out their duties and let down a member of the public that didn’t result in violent disorder though.

and the differentiator here is the attackers skin colour. Despite the judge, and the family, saying race played no part in the killing

Let down a member of the public is a massive understatement! You're kidding yourself if you think this was just about the murderer being a different skin colour.

Ah so they are all racist and anyone who doesn't see it the same way is also racist. They dont care about women and are just rioting to show their racism. I don't think there's anything to comprehend with that bigotry.

You can’t pretend that men committing DV is the same as some of these crimes committed by undocumented migrants.

I fear for my daughters and don’t want them to leave the house.

it’s just not. Both awful nonetheless

One is a personal threat the other is a societal threat, to describe it in its barest terms. I hope all these outraged women were equally as outraged at the very racist grooming rapes.

I agree with this.

Re Henry Nowak, the point is that it appears to be a tragic example of two-tier policing, a total failure of police training and culture. It’s not just about race. We can’t know for sure whether it really was two-tier policing, but the point is that it was an avoidable tragedy that looks very much like the natural result of a lot of EDI training and thinking.

ginasevern · Today 11:35

@Fillies4DeclanRice "The proportion of asylum seekers carrying out seriously violent and / or sexual crimes is significantly higher than the proportion of men who do the same"

It would be interesting to see the statistics on this. But either way, I can't imagine why any woman would be joyous about the importation of unchecked and undocumented men en masse. And that goes for the UK and any other country on the planet.

Two names Rose West, Myra Hindely. Both orchestras of abuse. Then add those nazi female camp guards.

Overall men are much more likely to commit murder but women also can be culprits

Rose West and Myra Hindley - I'm not diminishing what they did, but neither acted alone. They both acted with men, and probably to please those men rather than being the orchestrators of the crimes.

Womanofcustard · Today 11:39

Meanwhile in Afghanistan, the Taliban opened fire, and killed, men protesting against the treatment of women. Loads of women had been arrested for not being covered up sufficiently.

We are importing that mentality here. Still the stark contrast between cultures is ignored to save being called racist.

Yes and by the law of averages there will always be some women that commit awful crimes. It doesn't negate the fact that 98% of all rapes, violent sexual assaults, murders, paedophilia and animal torture is perpetrated by men. So "much more likely" is something of an understatement.

LuckyHazelFox · Today 11:47

@EarthlyNightshade Maybe for similar reasons to the Brixton and Toxteth riots. Different eras, different political and policing strategies but still the same discontent.

Edated - forgot to quote

As it is obviously lilogical to import even more men who hail from cultures that treat women appallingly when we already have an issue with 'native' British men-
You don't poke a hole in your bedroom's roof when you've got water coming in through the living room's ceiling - what is it, if not logic, behind some women's insistence that it is OK to let these men in?

Because whatever it's based on, it's not logic.

Another point really is that of course domestic abuse happens in other countries but women don't have the rights we Western women have to call it out.

Those poor women and girls will never know the meaning of a normal life. 😢

The horrible thugs rioting generally have convictions for domestic abuse and violence against women. They don't care about women, they just want a bit of violence. They are more of a threat to women than your average immigrant.
