That’s my Friday rant.
Far right men thinking they’re sorting everything out with their riots to protect the women. Maybe women should riot about just men.

also I know it’s not all men, but it is men.

It’s my real lived experience and I wish it wasn’t! Believe me.
Young girls flashed at is the least worst thing that’s been done. Would you accept that? Nope they view them as fair game from very young. 😢
locals are arranging patrols how did it come to this …

These were all asylum seekers. Asylum seekers make up a small minority of men, so it’s very concerning every week there seems to be a rape case, and often far more than 1, if not an attempted/completed murder.

We need proper stats from the government to put an end to this debate.

There are roughly 200 reported rapes a day by men per day in average, many more unreported. The vast majority are British citizens. But we never see the outrage on that.

Sarah Everard? Me Too? Epstein and his accomplices? John Worboys, who has been the focus this last few weeks? Russell Brand? Are you sure?

Shhhhhh we’re not talking about that, they’re the wrong colour.

They won’t believe you.

They’ll say they ‘believe women’ on other things. But not this.

Dont you find it embarrassing that you have to keep making things up in order to have an argument?

No one is calling on SM for hotels that film stars stay in to be burned down because Russell Brand has been arrested for multiple rapes. No one is setting cars on fire in Oxfordshire or Hollywood outside his home. Long haired white men aren’t being assaulted in the streets.

Men aren’t enabled by policy?

Have you heard of the patriarchy? It’s fairly old.

Yes, he was trying to get more benefits.

@Walkyrie this one was enabled by government policy, but you ignored my reply to that question

What women are stabbing and killing people? I don’t they are mate

Let me explain my point from a different angle; imagine your child asks you why are adults always committing terrible crimes, why are your kind like this mummy? You might think, well you shouldn’t be sick of adults, there are good ones and bad ones. This is probably how the men feel when you make your misandrist statements.

And likely how law abiding asylum seekers and other immigrants feel when baying mobs are setting fire to their homes and cars

I wouldn’t call Russell Brand a film star.

Immigration from misogynistic countries is enabled by immigration policy.

If these men are not oppressing the women in Afghanistan, then who is? Or do you think they’re lying?

Sure, celebrity then. Whatever word you prefer, people like him are not being rioted against.

You ignored that poster’s actual point, that there haven’t been any riots in response. (Obviously there shouldn’t be riots full stop, but the difference is telling.)

You’re saying asylum seekers in the UK are oppressing women in Afghanistan? Wow they must be living a double life and have a way to go back and forth when having an asylum application means you’re not allowed to travel outside the UK.

VAWG generally is enabled by underfunding of support services and lack of police and legal procedures to properly convict.

Your turn.

Well let me see here, the fact that the government from police to justice don’t give a shit about VAWGs. That the laws prohibiting sexual assault and domestic violence aren't worth the paper they are written on.

RedRosesParmaViolets · Yesterday 22:03

@HobGobblynne we live in an open and transparent society ,can you even begin to imagine what's happening in a closed society where women have no rights at all.

SleeplessInWherever · Yesterday 22:03

I might riot against the government not convicting arsonist violent thugs quickly enough.

I’m busy tomorrow, but Monday maybe.

There has been a massive push on VAWG in recent years. It’s an incredibly complex area with many reasons why conviction rates might not be as high as you would like. It isn’t as simple as ‘more money needed and nobody cares’.
