That’s my Friday rant.
Far right men thinking they’re sorting everything out with their riots to protect the women. Maybe women should riot about just men.

also I know it’s not all men, but it is men.

So should the women and children not be allowed here? Should they have to stay in those societies?

I work with several families without dads, they were killed by the taliban. They are scared in their homes now because of the racist attacks.

it’s all so ironic

Yes voting to make 9 year old marriages legal is nothing if not brazen. It’s just awful.

So you’re okay with the language and generalisations used in that specific post?

This planned attack, thank god, the school community and police managed to get ahead of and prevent.

If Afghans are fleeing Afghanistan and coming here…do you think perhaps they don’t agree with the culture over there?

Obviously not.

Why wouldn’t they? Many are economic migrants. People move for many reasons other than that.

In much the same way we don’t agree with everything that happens in this country, I don’t think the Afghan government have mastered mind control.

Good grief these responses, the faux naivety, the disingenuousness. One day, they’ll ’all have been against women paying the price for undocumented immigration’. Just not today.

And yet despite being given a golden opportunity to overthrow the Taliban, they ran like cowards and let them back in in 3 days.

Yes, I’m getting strong feminism vibes from that one.

What golden opportunity was this?

What on earth are you talking about? The overwhelming majority of the people rioting in Belfast, which you specifically referenced in your comment, do not consider themselves Irish in the slightest.

It’s like listening to that Fox News coverage of claiming all the protesters want is to be Irish and have Ireland back. 🤦‍♀️

Indeed. I've noticed certain posters repeatedly tripping themselves up on this, on multiple threads this week.

They really don't seem to understand the UK.

The 20 years of Taliban free occupation by NATO and the billions we spent equipping and training their army?!?! With hundreds of our troops dying to help them!?!!

ilovebrie8 · Yesterday 21:42

My post was factual we have had no end of trouble locally with groups of men in migrant hotels.
From those countries mentioned and predominantly from Afghanistan people are in denial what is going on.

You’re insufferable.

Theres no faux naivety. How many times do we have to repeat we acknowledge that asylum seekers commit crime, we simultaneously acknowledge that UK born men commit crime too and we are not nearly outraged enough when they do.

We strained every bloody sinew trying to help them get rid of the raping murdering Taliban and they ran like cowards within hours.

No ‘recollection’ disproves that.

It wasn’t a 20 year Taliban free occupation. It was a contested, fragile state that never fully stabilised, which is why it collapsed so quickly when external support was withdrawn.

Oh that, Afghanistan was never fully Taliban free.
The Coalition never fully won that war. Taliban was going strong in many rural areas the entire time.
The beginning of the end was when we made allies with the Taliban and armed them to fight ISIL in 2015
They then turned the arms towards reconquering the parts of Afghanistan that were coalition occupied.
The withdrawal from Afghanistan was because the Taliban were literally taking it back. They then seized over $7bn in weapons hastily abandoned by the evacuating US Army and coalition forces.

Afghanistan is a war we ended up losing.
