To be disappointed with how soft play handled this man

I reported an inappropriate sexual comment made by another parent at a soft play area yesterday.

I was climbing down from one of the raised areas with my DS and didn’t realise he was climbing up. I said a polite sorry and he replied not to worry and that if he knew his £10 entry included him getting an arse in his face he would have visited months ago. I challenged him and then reported to staff.

The staff approached me 10/15 minutes later to say they’d spoken to him and he had admitted saying that but was ‘obviously joking’ and he relayed his apologies, so they considered the matter sorted.

Personally, I think he should have been asked to leave. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and could have gone on to say similar to other parents present.

If I had done this to a woman, it's most likely that I would have been called ugly and angrily told to be more careful.

His comment may have been inappropriate, but it was more positive than the type of comment that many other people would expect to receive in the same situation.

The comment made to you is very different. In your instance, I'd be disgusted.

I think this kind of sits on the border of overstepping and being a light-hearted comment designed to make light of the fact you had just pushed your arse in his face.

TBH I'd be relieved he hadn't looked at me as though disgusted I hadn't managed to manoeuvre my butt more judiciously. If forced to choose, I'd rather put up with the comment than the actual butt in my face so there's that...

Some of these comments are way more disgusting thay rhe lame joke this man made, what sort of person writes this. This man did not suggest anything of the sort,thay he wanted to pay to have her literal arse hole in his face, he didn’t even reference her backside, he said an arse, not her arse.

If he had approached the lady in question with no prior contact, then yes, it would be wrong. She had literally shoved her arse in his face. He was embarrassed. I make jokes when I am embarrassed. I never mean to offend.

It's grim but you told him off, staff told him off, why should his child leave early because their dad is a throw back? I'm sure he learned his lessons from being admonished twice.
