Bullshit. No GP is refusing appointments to people who genuinely need them in favour of people who need interpreters.
It makes no sense whatsoever for schools not to meet SEND. Proper provision literally makes the difference between children with SEND becoming working, taxpaying members of society and spending their lives on benefits and/or in the justice system.
Universities don't prioritise applications from deprived backgrounds, but they do rightly make allowances for candidates in those circumstances. A student who has struggled against massive odds to achieve Grade Bs a A level will be much more successful as a student and in later life than one who has dossed his way through school on daddy's money and has only got A levels because he has been spoon-fed what to write by his expensive public school.
