i don’t want some paid influencer to tell me, i want real people to!

  • cyberjammies- the best most comfy pj’s I’ve ever had I now have 3 pairs
  • snag tights. I’ll never wear other tights again
  • Laura gelled face powder makeup- specifically bronzer to go which has a poof and a mirror built in

My recent purchase is a robotic lawnmower. I enjoy gardening but not cutting the grass [there is a lot of lawn] and this is a game changer for me. Saves me time every week and the lawn looks much better!

Absolutely agree. Bought a cheapish one to try, absolute game changer. I was rubbish at cooking rice and now it's always perfect!

Seconded (thirded?). Revolutionary. Though the cheap one I got from Aldi was better before it packed it in than the highly recommended one I replaced it with.

An outside tap double adapter - so I can leave my hosepipe attached and also fill up my watering can .

You have just made my day.

LifeBeginsToday · 07/06/2026 09:43

A second hand piano (and lessons). I'm only 5 weeks into the lessons but the half hour of me time each day it is giving is wonderful.

Oh we just got one of these, in fact are you my husband?

I have a rice cooker too! We bought it after going to Japan last year and I love it. My Japanese friend recommended the Tiger, but those ones are at least £150 and I decided that was a bit steep, since we don't eat rice every day, so I got the YumAsia Panda.

I got this one and it’s alright, but the rice is always slightly overcooked.

I'm sorry if it's been answered before in the thread, but what is the device please?
Sounds incredibly useful.

Hi, yes it’s called ZeroMouse and costs about £200. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work but it does. Once you’ve fitted the device you download the app and you can see all the photos of your cats entering or trying to, marked either “prey detected” or “no prey detected”. Genius.

I paid for a week of 'Premium' on a dating app and have now been chatting to and exchanged numbers with a guy who seems lovely. We're going to meet irl soon and even if it leads nowhere it's given me something to smile about for the past few weeks.

I got a device for my cat flap that locks the flap when it detects my cats have prey in their mouth. Best purchase ever (although not cheap)

More information please this would genuinely change my life

Concert tickets, theatre tickets, a holiday.

On the more mundane side, 4 small laundry baskets for each person in the house, so when the washing is dry it goes straight in to the right person's basket for them to take and put away. Just use the big one for transporting washing and towels now.

Sorry to be so boring - what baskets did you buy? I need to do this. I’ve avoided due to have yet more baskets but we find it so hard to keep
on top of washing

They do! They made me feel horribly hot. I can't understand the love for them

I like shorts like this underneath because I hate the feeling of having nothing but knickers under a dress! It makes me feel vulnerable 😅 however I got a three pack on Amazon from a different brand that I much prefer - was influenced by a lovely influencer I follow

QuizzlyBears · 07/06/2026 09:52

Metal suction hooks for my tiled shower walls - just 2, to hang loofah/scrubby things on, and a razor holder also for the wall. Tiny things but have tidied it up so much in there!

HoraceCope · 07/06/2026 09:52

a satchel style handbag, instead of my usual rucksack,
more presentable

Nespresso coffee machine and ion8 thermal flask. Saved a fortune on takeaway coffee on road trips and the coffee is excellent

Hamela · 07/06/2026 09:56

+1 for the Henry quick cordless vacuum cleaner, he's amazing. I debated getting him for ages, and use him every day.

Weleda blue gentian and edelweiss contouring night night cream and serum. My skin can't tolerate rubbish ingredients so Weleda is my favourite. Using their cleansing face balm too, and a firming day cream. And rosemary hair tonic too actually.

Waldwerk oak handled cafetiere. Only £20, looks and feels much more expensive.

Variable temperature kettle for all of my different types of loose leaf tea and coffee.

I'm looking at silk pillowcases but I might ruin them in the wash lol.

TitsWILLbetatted · 07/06/2026 09:56

Couple of extra Contigo travel mugs to use at home, mainly to avoid spills from cups and mugs on carpet but also keep drinks warm. They are from their coloured range, often at reduced prices on Amazon.

TheBabyFatmoss · 07/06/2026 09:56

Eufy robot hoover / mop!

2 drawer air fryer is used most days.

I have one if these also and it's brilliant. So far it has stopped my cat bringing in mice, rats, a grass snake, and a gammon rind, perhaps from neighbour's lunch....

A Thermomix. I pondered for ages because of the cost, but it’s possibly the best thing I’ve ever purchased.

Ooooh! Please tell me more - I’ve been thinking of getting one

How? Sounds amazing. Never heard of it before but will have to look into these!
