To be totally APPALLED by how Robinson referred to Henry Nowak in his “speech” in Southampton on Tuesday?

I’ve just seen a clip of this in a Guardian article on the main agitators in Southampton on Tuesday.
TR refers to Henry Nowak in this way: “White privilege?! Does Henry swear word beginning with F Nowak look as if he had white privilege when he was lying on the floor?”
He then smirks as he looks down, clearly proud of himself for delivering such an eloquent speech [sarcasm].
I’m beyond disgusted by how the name of this beautiful young man, who has lost his life in the most brutal way, was used in such a disrespectful way in order to rouse a rabble and boost TR’s ego.
AIBU to say that over the last two days TR, NF and their ilk are really showing us who they are and what motivates them?

Regardless or your view on Robinson, and he’s a shady character, the fact that you have to really scrape the bottom of the barrel and reach in order to find a way to deflect from the issue shows how wokery is fast going out of fashion.

Henry was failed by the attending officers in this case. Horrendously. But there is no evidence that it's because he was white. The court said it wasn't racially motivated, Henry's parents said the same and yet we're supposed to defer to TR & NF's superior knowledge of the intricacies of the case?

Assuming you mean that TR is spot on in debunking any idea about white privilege. Henry Novak was treated as he was by the police because he was white and a brown man accused him of racism. And you can hear that happening on the bodycam footage - if you can bear to watch it.

Dunno. Maybe to quote the right, ‘enough is enough’ and we ‘need to start calling things out as what they are’. After all, ‘You can’t say anything without people being offended these days’ and it’s gone too far.

Id say people lobbing bricks and failing to respect the wishes of the family of a murder victim, whilst conflating the actions of two very sub standard police officers and one vile Sikh murderer, with society in general and Sikhs in general, probably aren’t very bright at best, are unlikely to be employed at senior leadership level and at worst are actually our biggest problem. In fact in my view anyone rioting outside police stations is a scum bag whatever they think they are doing it for.

Unfortunately the liberal left are to blame for the rise of these unsavoury right parties. When the educated and privileged classes shut down debate and gaslight ordinary people, like they have for decades, the anger and frustration only goes one way.

The left have always said that uncontrolled mass immigration was great, the EU was great and that the country was benefitting, but ordinary hard working people just saw their towns degrading, their services degrading, British life being eroded and seeing more unfettered and unhealthy cultural influx but no politicians addressing it satisfactorily.

When politicians and people in authority lie and whitewash what people are seeing with their own eyes, in their own communities, they will turn to extreme parties and anyone speaking honestly who echo their frustrations and feelings.

I have no time for Nigel Farage and so little for T. Robinson it would fit on a pinhead. However, it is very obvious that Henry Novak died as he did because the police are steeped in the idea that white privilege exists and that accusations of racism must always be believed. I am not sure where in the minutes when Henry Novak's life ended that the police realised he was bleeding to death, but a by-stander points out to them that his mouth is full of blood and the officers take no notice, whilst agreeing with Digwa's brother (or Digwa, not entirely clear) that Henry Novak has NOT been stabbed - though how they can know that or know that he knows that is obscure.

Some posters don’t understand that there’s a particular aspect of this tragedy I wanted to raise - they just seem to have spotted the key words and had a kneejerk response to it.

Maybe the police involved should be jailed as well as sacked?

why are you wasting your energy on nitpicking what TR has said? Don’t you think it’d be more productive to be complaining to Hampshire Police and other governing bodies about their appalling treatment of Henry?

I've not seen this, but it does sound awful.

The march was never about Henry Nowak though. His parents have released a statement saying that they don't want his murder to fuel division and asking for there not to be protests.

To me, going ahead against the wishes of his grieving parents shows the motives more than any language. It's thay which disgusts me most.
