Earliest time to cut the grass tomorrow??

I’m on a new build estate, so lots of people living around me. I need to cut the grass tomorrow but want to do it as early as possible to avoid the heat - health conditions make it too difficult once it warms up. Obviously I don’t want to be a dick though 🤦‍♀️

What’s the consensus? 9am???

I was just thinking the same thing!
I thought 9 would be ok but it will be good to hear what others say

sittingonabeach · 30/05/2026 17:17

Is it not cooling down in your area? We are forecast rain from tomorrow (possibly tonight) so did mine this afternoon

Certainly wouldn’t do it before 9

Happywalnut · 30/05/2026 17:18

I would say 9 too. 9.30 even better if you can.

CherryViper · 30/05/2026 17:18

10am.

user1476613140 · 30/05/2026 17:20

8am

Somethingbland · 30/05/2026 17:20

Personally I would think 9 a.m is a reasonable time to cut grass on a weekend.
My feeling is if you live in an area where houses have gardens then normal garden maintenance activities at that time are perfectly acceptable.

AgnesMcDoo · 30/05/2026 17:21

9am on the weekend

Notaboutthebass · 30/05/2026 17:21

10 am.

Harhar · 30/05/2026 17:22

I’d say 10am. Don’t think there’ll be any difference in temperature between 9-10.

Legomania · 30/05/2026 17:22

10am

Larrythecatforpm · 30/05/2026 17:22

10am on a Sunday, any eariler than that I would get the rage.

TotalBaloney · 30/05/2026 17:22

Where are you? I’m in the midlands and the temp is dropping quite considerably tomorrow.

Notsosweetcaroline · 30/05/2026 17:24

You don’t need to wait past 9.

Gertibear · 30/05/2026 17:25

I’d say 10am but I wouldn’t be very happy if I were still asleep and it woke me up.

MrsJigsaw · 30/05/2026 17:25

I settled on 10am this morning being the earliest time to start, although ended up being nearer 11 by the time I got started!

Nearly50omg · 30/05/2026 17:25

6pm is better for the grass and the neighbours

JeremiaBoogle · 30/05/2026 17:26

9 am at the earliest I think. Personally I wouldn't mind earlier - thankfully as one of my neighbors once mowed his lawn at 11pm 😂, but recalling threads on here noise in the neighbor's garden can be a considered a Bad Thing.

tinyspiny · 30/05/2026 17:26

9 is fine , we are SE and it’s forecast to be a lot colder tomorrow here .

I’ll be out in the evening, and then I’m away all week so it has to be Sunday morning 🤦‍♀️

10am.

My horrible neighbour was chainsawing at 8.15 am this morning.

Vivienne1000 · 30/05/2026 17:29

10 am on a Sunday ….

Lonelycrab · 30/05/2026 17:34

I’d say 10.
Obvs can be a bit earlier but I just think it’s courteous to those that might want a lie in.

UniquePinkSwan · 30/05/2026 17:35

9 is fine. It’s just another day where millions of people are already out working

Letsgoanddoit · 30/05/2026 17:36

9am although it won’t be hot anywhere tomorrow. Today’s the last day of it.
