AIBU to want my sister to leave my local crows alone?

I have been feeding a group of crows near my house and we’re just getting to the point where they wait for me now in a morning and come very close. My sister has decided she wants in on it but I’ve told her to go and find her own murder as I’ve put in all the hard work with these ones. I told her there is a murder across the way on the field she could do and feed.

this morning I was coming home from shop and there she was feeding Russel from my murder. I shouted at her and she shouted that they’re not my fucking crows, at the point a woman walking a dog walked past and tutted so sister shouted that they’re not my crows and I was shouting at her. The woman just carried on walking but this was right near my house!!

AIBU to think she should just go and feed the others???

Are you saying she’s attempting a murder?

Sorry - I’ll see myself out.., *ruffles feathers and takes wing 😂

Ticktockwatchclock · 19/05/2026 14:38

Oh no, so who is going to feed the crows when you are on holiday with your sister and fighting about toilets or discussing bike storage? They will remember that you have abandoned them with no food.

Give her some Kia ora to give to them, it’s too orangey for crows and they will flounce in disgust

Cheapeau.

However, being very serious do not piss off crows!

outerspacepotato · 19/05/2026 14:39

Did you ever pick up your bike?

HarshbutTrue2 · 19/05/2026 14:43

This is hilarious. It sounds like a plot from Midsummer Murders

You don't have a DSis problem, you have a DRussel problem.

😂

Is this a joke? It reminds me of the thread where the sister was getting angry about ‘half a cup of coffee’

Probably the same fictional sister.

godmum56 · 19/05/2026 14:49

They are out there and breeding and I don't mean the crows

Did you ever pick up your bike?

I think it was going to be sold. Did someone buy it in the end?

IBlinkedAndBecameMiddleAged · 19/05/2026 14:50

Russell needs to crow up and stop behaving like this.

I had forgotten this one!! God, it's like a cheap BBC drama. Can't wait for the next episode.

We were sitting in a car chatting when we saw a crow doing a funny walk across the road, We started laughing at it, really laughing. The next thing we knew it landed on the bonnet of the car. looking right at us and then suddening hammered its beak at the windscreen with real intention, twice.. making us jump and start the engine.
It was an eye opener to realise that it knew we were laughing at it and really didn't like it. Creepy

MyPurpleHeart · 19/05/2026 14:53

Is this post a joke that I don't understand..

Samysungy · 19/05/2026 14:54

Report your sister for attempted murder.

KatyAnnwillsaveus · 19/05/2026 14:55

I have about 20 starling fledglings and their parents in my garden right now. They’ve been here all morning using my trees for flying practice. Gorgeous little hooligans! My crows are most put out that their favourite silver birch perch has been invaded. Your sister sounds like a right cow. She needs to get her own birds 😂😂😂(Seriously, this is a very silly thing to fight about.)

I love this! I also feed my local crows - they are mine now. I hoping that they will bring me shiny things in exchange for peanuts.
YANBU.

Isn't that magpies??? 🤣

Is this really real???

If so, crows must be very intelligent!

You don't own wild animals. And by the way, shouting at one another is really not good for the peace of wild animals. And you can't spell Russell properly.

Edited

Double L is the usual British spelling for Russell but a quick search of (first) names on facebook shows there are plenty of Russels around.
I doubt Russel cares about only having one L.

Yes, magpies hoard shiny things. I keep hoping mine bring me a few Roman gold coins, like in the Detectorists.

NameChangeMay2026 · 19/05/2026 15:01

@DuckbilledSplatterPuff Actually, don't answer that. I found something that says crows have the intelligence of a human seven-year-old, definitely old enough to know if it's being laughed at! Creepy indeed...

You need to walk away from Russel, op. I’m seeing red flags all over the place.
Let your sister have him and she’ll find out the hard way.

😆
