AIBU to say the Green Party has an antisemitism problem?

I said this in a conversation and got an interesting reaction.

I’m basing it on repeated examples of Green Party candidates and members sharing conspiracy theories about zionists, downplaying antisemitism, or even justifying attacks on Israeli civilians. That goes way beyond normal criticism of Israel.

I’m not saying every supporter is antisemitic, but there does seem to be a pattern with some of their people, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to call that out. Notably, many of the people who have come out with these views are still party members.

A friend said I was smearing the party and that this is just pro-Palestinian views being misrepresented.

Am I being unreasonable to call it an antisemitism problem?

What a bizarre question. No, seeing racial slurs doesn't make a person with decent morals feel good. How does it make you feel?

Agreed with this, but apparently we aren't allowed to use the term Islamist, even in it's correct usage, as it offends some members here.

Not really an argument is it? Just a personal attack to hide from the fact nobody has been able to actually counter @Aislyn's original post.

Luckily I didn't see it.. it's interesting that all the opposers have to offer are personal attacks and vitriol. No one has read the information provided and explained why I am unreasonable with a coherent argument.

The unhinged hatred amongst a certain portion of the population, as illustrated here by some repeatedly deleted posters, might even border on humour as it is so unreasonable, if it were not for the real life consequences of their bigoted words.

No, it was the PP that made that connection for Israel and other nations.

Did you go to any local Labour meetings under Corbyn's leadership, I did as I had before and the very nature of them changed.

Jewish MP's again and again raised concerns that were dismissed again and again all in the public domain as are the many spoken and written concerns of the direction of the Labour party went under Corbyn and now the Green party

And today we have a terrorist attack on two Jewish men in London the fear is real, the attacks are real and the growing antisemitism is real and one many of the left of politics either ignore as its their gain or support

This reminds me of incidents such as this. A Jewish councillor was hissed at to replicate the gas chambers of the Holocaust in an attempt to intimidate him, in a council meeting. What a world we live in.

The real danger is that we live in a world where such acts are normalised, and even justified and encouraged. It is very worrying. I am not seeing enough allies showing concern.

A question to those here who claim to be 'anti-Zionist'. What do you think of the current epidemic of attacks on British Jews?

If you claim to not want Jews to have a safe homeland, then where should British Jews go when they are unsafe in Britain?

I have seen Facebook posts from the major parties, other than the Greens, condemning today's terror attacks. These are predictably followed with comments along the lines of 'but Israel', 'they deserved it'.

Surely if you are against the Jews having a safe homeland, then you should want Britain to be safe for Jews?

Returning to the topic at hand, I have also not seen that the Green party has condemned today's horrific terrorist attack. I would love for them to issue a statement but I won't be holding my breath.
