This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

You’re eating nearly 1800 calories in cheese a day!! Way too much

Notarealblonde · 30/03/2026 11:14

So 450g of cheese?
thats is far too much.
is your goal to lose weight?

i have 150g natural skyr youghurt maybe twice a day and probably limit about 20g of cheese on a jacobs cracker as a snack.

cheese is very fattening.

Notarealblonde · 30/03/2026 11:15

Also that is alot of nuts i would have 35g

again nuts are very fattening

NotAWurstToIt · 30/03/2026 11:15

It’s not a lot of food on paper, but it looks like you are eating one meal a day then grazing on nuts and cheese, which are both quite fatty,
If you’re happy with your diet then that’s fine - it’s not a lot of food. If you’re looking for advice and you say you need to eat until you’re full, could you have two or three smaller meals and add some fruit or veg based snack to replace some of the cheese and nuts?

AInightingale · 30/03/2026 11:15

Was going to say that, the nuts and cheese are insanely calorific. You could have another decent protein-rich meal for far fewer calories.

Is the bottle of wine on one day or over the week?

ChickalettasGiblets · 30/03/2026 11:16

Your fat intake is really really high, that much cheese a day is insane. Personally I would be worried about cholesterol. The alcohol on day 7 is also a standout, why are you drinking a whole bottle of wine??

Have you tried eating more meals a day but having more protein and fibre? You would still be full and it would stop the snacking.

oh and you need more water.

olderbutwiser · 30/03/2026 11:16

I nearly fell over at 4 eggs and two pork chops. Then I got to the cheese.

I am 5' 2" and that seems like an insane amount of food to me.

soddingspiderseason · 30/03/2026 11:18

Hi, doesn’t look like you are eating 3 structured meals a day? Breakfast is really important for the metabolism. Why so much cheese? And so much protein? Maybe more fruit/veg and unrefined carbs. And a bottle of wine in one sitting is a lot, sorry.

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 30/03/2026 11:18

You’re eating 2.5k calories in snacks a day. Surely having more than one meal a day is preferable?

Bulbsbulbsbulbs · 30/03/2026 11:18

I'd be climbing the walls eating that, it wouldn't satisfy me at all.! Is it the Atkins diet?

I'd say 450g of cheese every day is quite a lot. That's about 1800 calories in just cheese.

yikesss · 30/03/2026 11:18

Are you on keto?

IlovePhilMitchell · 30/03/2026 11:18

Is this rage bait?

BigGra · 30/03/2026 11:19

It’s not a large volume of food but it’s a lot of calories and fat. -approx 2000 calories a day on cheese and nuts.

Mydahliasareshit · 30/03/2026 11:20

Are you an athlete by any chance op?

INX · 30/03/2026 11:21

I can't concentrate over the sound of my cholesterol screaming.

MilliM · 30/03/2026 11:21

That's a very odd diet.
Is it what you want or is it some weird weight loss diet? I know nothing about calories but it's definitely not a balanced diet.
So much cheese and fat and nothing substantial. You must be constipated to say the least.

I only have bottle of wine on Saturday and Sunday nights.
I work Saturday and have Sunday and Monday off so it’s like my Friday and Saturday night drinks, just how me and Dh like to unwind.
I probably have a higher tolerance as we have always had a bottle each at the weekend.

As much as I love the idea of eating nearly half a kilo of cheese a day... The budget must be enormous to get nicer one😱

I think you need more veg and fruit in your life tbh.

Are you a body builder who is bulking up before a cut? You're eating 1lb of cheese a day plus 4oz nuts. Some nuts are fattier than others. Are you not having digestive issues with all that cheese? There's a lot of fat in that food. It's disordered eating really.

If your basic idea is one meal a day then it's not working because of all the additional calories from cheese and nuts as well as a substantial meal. You could probably do with eating more veg and more leafy green veg.

Grapeaddict · 30/03/2026 11:23

If you’re not anti AI I’d put your entire post into Chat GPT - it’s not reliable (it has some inaccurate baselines for nutrition) but it can provide a good breakdown of what you are and aren’t getting from that week. I’ve also found it to be a lot more supportive than typical diet resources. I enjoy the endless patience it has when you tell it what will and won’t work for you. If you want to eat a lot of cheese it can help you find a way to factor that into a more balanced week.

i can see you’re trying to go for protein over carbs but I don’t think this diet will be good for your cholesterol level, too much saturated fat

cocobanana922 · 30/03/2026 11:24

Are you wanting to loose weight? Are you tracking calories? It's much easier to track them on an app and then you know exactly if you are eating "too much" or not.

Edwardbear1 · 30/03/2026 11:24
