This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

Be careful with cheese and cholesterol. Mine was high until I cut out almost all cheese and my levels went right down

Amazed you are still alive! The cheese alone will be increasing your cholesterol to dangerous levels and you are generally eating way too much.

So 450g of cheese?
thats is far too much.
is your goal to lose weight?

i have 150g natural skyr youghurt maybe twice a day and probably limit about 20g of cheese on a jacobs cracker as a snack.

cheese is very fattening.

No,she eats 900g a day in two lotts!!!!

It's not binge drinking to have 3 large glasses of wine two evenings a week.....

Edited

Yes it is.

Mitzuko · 05/04/2026 15:09

It's a lot of calories and unhealthy fat, compensated by all day snacking, because you feel not satisfied.

Drinking is excessive but I believe is comfort drinking. No comments on this as it would require awareness about moderating in order to avoid alcoholism in the future.

For me it's an insane quantity in one meal insane quantity in snacking and one meal a day, compensated by eating constantly and going to dinner with no hunger obviously., so insane meal skipping.

Looks like the perfect regime to become morbidly obese in the future. Sorry to say that, unfortunately I know the matter very well.

The real issue is being constantly too hungry, this happens when there is too much sugary food like corn in your diet, and the nuts, they have an insane quantity of sugar, salt, calories, fats. It looks healthy but it actually spikes your insuline, leading to constant hunger after 90 minutes from a full meal, and the snacking must be in abnormal quantity to put down the hunger spikes.

Some foods look innocent but they are like poison, leading to dependency like drugs, leading to excessive consumption.

This regime is a lot of food and it's the wrong food, leading to being always hungry.

Your fat intake is really really high, that much cheese a day is insane. Personally I would be worried about cholesterol. The alcohol on day 7 is also a standout, why are you drinking a whole bottle of wine??

Have you tried eating more meals a day but having more protein and fibre? You would still be full and it would stop the snacking.

oh and you need more water.

Sorry but “a whole bottle of wine” are you from the US?

Theonebutnotonly · 05/04/2026 17:58

I have the same problem. My DH eats a lot of cheese and salted nuts so they’re always in the house. He does a lot of running and is not overweight but I don’t and I am. I find the best solution is not to eat any cheese or nuts at all - once I’ve started it’s much harder to stop.

You’ve convinced yourself that you can’t control this but you could. If you lay off the cheese and nuts completely for a week you’ll find it gets easier. Find something else less calorific to eat when you get the urge.

Allog · 05/04/2026 20:28

way too much food

Swearimnotacheesehater · 07/04/2026 21:36

If you don't keel over from a heart attack within a year. I'd be amazed. That's an insane amount of cheese. I wince at 30g being around 150cal, let alone half a kilo
