This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

Way too much cheese and nuts. I love a chunk of cheese with a digestive biscuit, cathedral city lighter and digestives lighter.

Duckyfondant · 30/03/2026 11:26

Just have some carbs, go on

NightsinthegardensofSpain · 30/03/2026 11:26

The reason you need to eat so much cheese is because you are only eating one proper meal. One a day is not enough.
It's forcing you to binge cheese and nuts.
If you ate in a more balanced way you would need less calories

IlovePhilMitchell · 30/03/2026 11:26

ivyball · 30/03/2026 11:22

Sorry why would this be rage bait?

450grams of cheese a day!!!

Your poor heart 😭😭😭

NightsinthegardensofSpain · 30/03/2026 11:27

Duckyfondant · 30/03/2026 11:26

Agreed. You are depriving your body of carbs. Your brain needs it

OneOfEachPlease · 30/03/2026 11:27

It seems like you only eat fat and protein. I know there is a bit of veg with some of your main meals but no carbs or fruit or variety of veg so little fibre. I mean I can’t eat cheese or caffeine (de caff still has caff esp. five cups) so it wouldn’t work for me.
You are kidding yourself if you think you only have one meal. You’re eating over three meals of calories - just from a constant cheese and nuts buffet.

GreyCarpet · 30/03/2026 11:28

Are you intentionally low carbing? If so, the fat content isn't necessarily bad.

I'd say it's a lot of cheese, though! And I love cheese.

Why are you asking?

I think is absolutely right, I go to the fridge and crave cheese so it’s hard to come back with something else, then I fancy nuts which gives me the taste for more cheese. It’s a vicious cycle.

All that cheese and no vegetables. Do you ever manage to go to the toilet? Why do you not have a balanced diet with all food groups?

PurplePantsofPower · 30/03/2026 11:30

I'm not sure I believe this is anyone's real diet because 450g of cheese a day is madness and probably your full calories for the day at 5'2". Also picking through the day doesn't change the amount of calories so is irrelevant.

InterestedDad37 · 30/03/2026 11:31

A male Olympic champion weightlifter on this diet would probably need to cut some calories! 🤯

Edwardbear1 · 30/03/2026 11:31

What’s your goal ? 🤨🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it too much, well yes…approx 27,000 calories is excessive.

Cuppachuchu · 30/03/2026 11:33

I love cheese as much as the next MNetter but........
Maybe have a few Cheddars crackers instead for a cheesy hit? All that cheese must be costing a lot. Quite apart from the calorie cost.

AussieManque · 30/03/2026 11:33

Zero carbs, zero fruit and veg?
That is an insane quantity of cheese.

HeidiLite · 30/03/2026 11:34

your first day according to ChatGPT is about 3300 kcal and extremely high in fat. Not exactly healthy.

Catza · 30/03/2026 11:34

There is no way of saying whether it is too much or too little food because we don't know what your goal is. What is your weight doing and does it correspond to your goal?
Generally, this seems like an odd way to manage food intake for me. I'm not big on "three meals a day" myself. I have a large breakfast and dinner and maybe do more of a picky lunch.
I can't imagine eating all this cheddar every day. I'm not massively worried about fat - I am quite skinny and I also do crossfit, olympic weightlifting and dance which amounts to six days a week of strenuous exercise. However, I think there are probably more exciting things to eat (including more exciting cheese varieties) which may be more nutritionally smart and more satiating.

Starlight1979 · 30/03/2026 11:34

Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

So you have half a roast chicken when? At breakfast? And then nothing else apart from cheese and nuts?!

Why do you not have any pasta, potatoes, rice....?

I mean half your diet sounds ok (tuna, salmon, vegetables eggs etc) but the whole set-up is very odd and bordering on ED territory....

hididdlyho · 30/03/2026 11:35

Research volume eating for some meal plans, if you're feeling like you need to eat a lot to feel full. At the moment it looks like you're eating a lot of fat and protein, but not really eating enough fibre, veg or carbs.

AussieManque · 30/03/2026 11:33

Yeah I'm baffled because it sounds like the OP is on some mad diet.

But then eating 450g of cheese every day?!?!

JLou08 · 30/03/2026 11:35

Too much cheese, too many nuts, too many eggs, not enough fruit/veg, not enough carbs. That's not a healthy diet. Do you get a bad stomach and lack energy?

Riverpaddling · 30/03/2026 11:36

Have you got an eating disorder? I'm being serious.

"Do you ever manage to go to the toilet?" - I can only assume that's what all the coffee is for 😂

Very funny OP

I like it!
