Should we be paying for both brides?

Friend getting married next year. Both women. They want a joint hen do abroad. They have asked us not to cover their costs because there are two of them. Maid of Honour wants us to pay anyway. Everyone else agrees. AIBU to think it’s a bit much? It’s an extra £100.

If it matters, there are 20 of us going and it’s for three nights in Greece.

I can understand people wanting to do something a bit more than a meal and a drink at the same place they go to every week.

There’s a middle ground between £1,000 in Greece and a pint in their local.

I agree, but there are multiple posts asking why people don’t just have a pint in their local.

If everyone else agrees it's a tough one .. i know it's annoying when they have said don't cover them ..
See it as a fun time away all of you together it's lovely they're getting married and how much have they paid for all guests to celebrate their wedding ..

Paying a lot of money for your wedding doesn't entitle a couple to their friends and guests being similarly extravagant.

Bride B doesn’t have any friends - hence the joint do.

I'd be quite concerned if I was Bride A that the woman I'm marrying has no friends. How does that even happen?

And I really do agree that the whole hen/stag thing has got seriously out of hand.
There are lots of options that don't include flying abroad and spending £100s , plus paying for the hen.

I'd definitely dip out of this one OP.
