DS is at a party tonight, and DH offered to do both DD’s bed times (we usually do one each!) and I think he’s regretting it because DD1 is being a right pain! Meanwhile I’m sat downstairs with a gin and tonic. When he comes back down we’ll be ordering an Indian. What did you have for your tea?

What did everyone have for dinner? My husband is out so I had a nibble of just about everything in the house 😂

im up for a little chinwag! Just sitting by the fire, not really found anything to watch on tv and dh is cooking dinner. I went out for a very late lunch so not very hungry but it’s steak night here and ds will get more than stuck in so nothing will go to waste! Hoping for a very early night tonight, am very tired after a few late nights and early starts.

There’s absolutely nothing on TV tonight, I’m watching Bridget Jones until match of the day starts! Then we’re going to try and stay up for the UFC but I can’t see it happening

I love weekends, they really are so precious to me as they are to most people (or whichever days they get off from work) and my dc are mostly grown up now - 1 teen left, the others are adults - so I have plenty of downtime after groundhog weekends of children’s parties, swimming lessons and planning things around them! Really enjoying this new era of having a bit of breathing space.

Just jumping on this thread for a general natter. My anxiety was sky high earlier so I drove 2 hours to surprise dp and we are now waiting for a Chinese to be delivered. Anyone got much planned tomorrow? I’m so looking forward to a lie in.

@bettyblackdog hope you’re feeling calmer now. What’s coming from the Chinese? It’s my favourite takeaway 😋

@TheChosenTwo I’m in the exact opposite end of the tunnel! Our first baby is 3 months. We tried to go to a gallery today. We managed but had to move a lot quicker and couldn’t really take it all in. There’s a podcast to go with the exhibition though so I’m going to listen to that.

@bettyblackdog hoping for a quiet day after the busyness today! I want to check a couple of the charity shops for specific toys my friend is looking for for her three year old.
