I think he has finally lost any marbles he had in his tiny little brain!

His earlier statement was very weak. There has also been a poor response from the White House which fails to address Trump's disgraceful comments.

His first statement was a quick rebuff, his proper statement came in the afternoon.

At no point did he agree with Trump.

He's always been quite stupid and I can't think of a single coherent speech of his.

I couldn't sleep last night - I kept thinking of that bewildered little boy wearing his bunny hat. I cannot believe some of the comments I have read on MN of all places, a parenting site. And to think that Farage wants an ICE private army style group in the UK. Shameful, utterly abhorrent. Both him and the orange turd.

Where is the unequivocal condemnation from Nigel Farage , the heir apparent to Starmer according to all my British friends?

I've just visited "Truth Social" [ugh] to check and he definitely sent it.

Obviously Jeremy Clarkson (this time with Mark Carney's face) going "Oh no! Anyway..." is a longstanding meme

Grifting. It's all about stuffing their pockets with as much money as they can carry away before, one way or another, they get the boot. It is disgusting. The majority of the simpletons who voted for Trump told get told that bit.

This thread isn't about the US - it's about Trump.
But even when he's gone (and lets hope that's soon..) he will have undoubtedly damaged US-UK/Europe relations for a very long time.
He's revealed the massive vulnerability in continued reliance on a nation who we assume will always be benign.

Personally, if a UK government ever again asks British soldiers to put their lives on the line for our "American allies" I will riot in the streets.

Those saying 'be grateful, without the US we'd be speaking German' don't realise that this administration is systematically dismantling everything that the US of the time have built. They are destroying their very legacy. In fact, anyone who ever had any appreciation for the US has their heart broken over this fucking disgrace.

Those mentioning this should read the thread and know its a quote from the speech

Mandy62 · 24/01/2026 17:07

He criticised NATO not specifically UK service men & women. On other forums these brave military have stressed how they have had to fight with inferior weapons, clothing etc. & I also have 2 family members who were on the front line. The UK has always had a shocking record on how we treat our service people & this government has to be the worst. By focusing on DJT's WORDS, Starmer, & his followers who voted for this, can now plough ahead with ACTIONS & prosecute those who were in Ireland during the Troubles. What next? Prosecute those who fought in the Falklands war as it was Mrs Thatcher that was in power? Nothing, absolutely nothing, would surprise me with this lot. We all know that those who gave, & continue to give their all, incl those who have given their lives, are heroes, nothing less. Do not be put off the more important issues that this sneaky government are doing behind the scenes by focusing on mere words - stupid or misinterpreted.

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 24/01/2026 17:17

At the risk of a ban.

Fuck off with excusing Trump. I heard what he said. I heard how he said it.

You are trying to defend one of the biggest pieces of shit that ever walked across the planet, but you will not use the brave soldiers from around the world who went to the aid of the US when they asked.

You do not get to rewrite history
He do not tell me how to think
You do not get to change the narrative
You do not get to deflect.

You appear to share Trumps frankly non existent values by defending him.

Take your snake oil elsewhere cause I ain't buying.

Quite a rant there! & a diversion from Trumps vile words, which you seem to agree with... so equally vile too.

Soldiers who served in NI, have been prosecuted numerous times, some more than once, under the Tories.
Same Tories who bought fwd prosecutions of soldiers in Afghanistan too.

Not once did they seek to change the law.

Yet you blame Labour?

Their amendments to Tory legislation will prevent malicious prosecutions.

I assume you think a soldier committing war crimes shouldn't be investigated?

& Trump can fuck off with his so called "apology" many other European countries laid down their lives for this awful country, he ignores them.

So he wants to occupy Iceland?

What a despicable twisting of the facts. Speaking about the allied forces who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, draft-dodger Trump said that they weren't even needed and that they stepped back and didn't serve on the front line.

On pretty much all the UK TV channels (obviously not GB News though), the families of service men and women who died and some of the veterans who received life-changing injuries in Afghanistan have told the media how disgusted and upset they are about what Trump has said and his utter disrespect and ingratitude.

He is a disgrace of a human being.

What the fuck are you talking about? Your post is almost as nonsensical as Trump's own verbal diarrhoea.

It was accidental but 10% of people think I’m unreasonable for thinking he is an unhinged wotsit hued womble of the cock variety!!

Well, I can't agree that it was "accidental" that this ended up in AIBU.

This is a serious subject, and it merits a serious posts, including facts and opinions. I hope next time you'll consider the Politics forum.

I have no idea what a "wotsit hued womble" is, but it sounds amusing. But it also reminds me how I'm infuriated at people terming him a clown or a buffoon. He's caused more deaths than a serial killer, and people need to keep that in mind.

Do you know what? Get to fuck. We ran to America’s aid after 9/11. Teens, men in their 20’s died. Futures lost. Families destroyed. You don’t get to bat this away or try and distract.

Trump dodged the draft 5 times. The only thing he’s patriotic to is his bank account. Anyone defending him is a paid bot and traitor. He finally went full mask off so people can see he and his team hate everyone who’s not in their inner circle.

I thought it was fantastic. He says it like it is and does what’s best for America unlike our leader who seems more bothered whether other country’s are being invaded rather than ours which is literally being invaded by tens of thousands of men and they do nothing. The same people criticising Trump also never seemed to mention the senile mess who was in office for 4 years previously

How is he telling it how it is if he never finishes a sentence.

Why? This is Bannon’s actual quote, and his actual strategy. Are we banning historical facts on MN now?

If you need a laugh (or a cry), this is spot on.
