I think he has finally lost any marbles he had in his tiny little brain!

🤦🏽‍♀️ It’s not an actual golden dome.

its a complex system for missile defence basically to detect missiles being launched from other countries and then possibly to take them down.

It's the 21st century version of Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative, aka Star Wars.

Youneverknowwhatyourgonnaget · 23/01/2026 07:09

I thought it was fantastic. He says it like it is and does what’s best for America unlike our leader who seems more bothered whether other country’s are being invaded rather than ours which is literally being invaded by tens of thousands of men and they do nothing. The same people criticising Trump also never seemed to mention the senile mess who was in office for 4 years previously

What do you think about Trump saying NATO never helps the US and European Troops "Held a little back from the front line in Afghanistan?"

Here we go again. It's a bloody fairground ride. One person spouts shit, gets proven to spout shit, runs out of soundbites and what seems to me from the repeativeness and lack of understanding and depth to back the comment, leaves the thread, and then someone else joins it right back at the beginning with the first damn comment on the check list so we cycle through the same bollocks again.

At least read the bloody thread.

I absolutely cannot get over this. This is a red line of disrespect. We lost 500 people over there, many of them in their teens and 20s.

The right wing in this country tend to be very supportive and protective of the military so I sincerely hope this paints Trump in a different light for them.

I doubt it, they'll divert onto Chagos, as pp's are doing now.

Keen to support Trump & hammer Starmer on Chagos, silence on Trump disrespecting UK and European sacrifice in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I hope we never again help the US, its very clear that Trump (and any other MAGA Potus) will ever help Europe, they are all pro Putin and anti Ukraine/Europe.

I think he has finally lost any marbles he had in his tiny little brain!

What's staggering is that 11% of people said YABU.

YourBrickTiger · 23/01/2026 10:09

So is he full of shit? Is the whole Greenland thing off the table now after all his ranting? Someone must have told him to stop it.

Or he just forgot....

People with dementia don't always remember one day to the next & can be easily placated in some cases.

nicepotoftea · 23/01/2026 10:18

Trump has tweeted that Mark Carney can't be in his special secret big boys club anymore.

GameofPhones · 23/01/2026 10:22

Plenty of evidence that DT is losing whatever marbles he ever had. Surely US government have a procedure for removing a sick/incompetent president? I recall Tunisia used their constitution to remove their president Bourghiba when he became erratic due to arteriosclerosis and other conditions.

However I suspect he is a useful idiot for powerful others behind him who are profiting from his actions.

At this point I think the Press Secretary is lying for no other purpose than to show that she can do so with impunity, so who raises the alarm?

Theoretically the mid-terms should create the possibility of opposition.

GameofPhones · 23/01/2026 11:09

The world watches in amazement as USA knowingly disgraces itself.

AreYouSureAskedNaomi · 23/01/2026 11:17

For a draft-dodger to say that... new depths plumbed every day

I dont think it should be that surprising.
He previously described US service personnel who died in war as "losers and suckers", and mocked his political rival (John McCain)s service and time in a prisoner of war camp.

I honestly think he respects UK and EU soldiers as much as he respects American soldiers.

Besides, Vance et al have been yapping along similar lines for ages.

As well as all those lives lost, there's all those with life changing injuries and mental scars from the conflict. How his comments haven't been a red line for more people, I have no idea. You have to be inhuman to think his comments were OK.

There is a procedure. It’s called the 25th Amendment. But it would require the majority in Congress to grow a spine, so…

I used to visit the US a lot, before Trump (I haven't been since he was elected),
and I've been asked
(1) Is London near England? (or maybe it was the other way round, is England near London)
(2) Is Canada east of the US?

Years ago, when we told some very nice Americans that we lived in Northern England they said Oh, you mean Scartland.

I'm sure there's truth to this, but I can't tell you how many people I've met since living here who say, oh, you're from New York? I know someone from there, and then name a place that's 350 miles away from NYC.

Lack of knowledge about other places abounds everywhere.

Remember simpler times when everyone was worried about the Princess of Wales's digitally altered pictures?

I really want the Trump defenders to come on and defend this. I have to think it's a reach even for them? Or are they too busy defending the kidnapping of a 5 year old?

Hes a complete idiot.

He needs someone to fact check.him as he goes since he makes up so much as he goes.

NATO were in Afghanistan. British troops served and died there, on the front line.

Complete tosser, idiotic and who on earth believes anything he says anymore!

They seem quite spineless and just nod along to Trump. Anyone got any balls in America care to fact check him?

Wow.

No one. How did they skip out of WW1 and WW2, let alone more recent conflicts.
