Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

I’m imagining it’s mildly embarrassing at the most. As in, what most normal families would laugh or mildly cringe about vs shaming their mother in front of the whole world.

Not to belittle what I can imagine was not a great upbringing for him, in the public eye, but I think he probably could’ve left out the uncomfortable, sexual implications directed at his mother, given she can’t prove anything herself - and probably wouldn’t want to if she could, but still…

Thinking about the dancing thing, it’s that that actually makes the whole statement feel less considered.

If he had kept it simple and something like struggling to grow up in the public eye, didn’t want to continue that way / some family conflict that didn’t originate from his wife hence lack of reconciliation etc then perhaps that would have come across a little better.

But a laundry list of petty complaints, including the allusions to his mum’s inappropriate dancing just sounds like a teenager who’s got himself whipped up into a frenzy with his girlfriend in an ‘us against the world’ type thing. If his intention was to stop all of the speculation, then he must’ve known that this would be like throwing gasoline onto it, completely the opposite.

If he doesn’t want contact, then he needs to stop interacting with them. This in itself is the most intense form of interaction - on a nuclear level. It comes across as trying to punish them rather than freeze them out. Like a toddler having a massive tantrum.

I think this is a bit of a red herring. If you’re famous, it’s a an understandable thing to do, because if you don’t do it, somebody else unrelated will. Obviously, what you then go on to do with it afterward could be an issue, given your aim should just be to safeguard it until they decide what to do with it as an adult, if anything.

Maybe we are being too hard on them. Maybe they want to stay together until Harper is an adult, but I do wonder what kind of a childhood she is having. Is she actually going to school at the moment? What must that be like? FH is a nice school, but girls will be girls and I imagine she is being gossiped about like crazy.
