I can’t see anything that gives a clear reason.

Didn’t the Ramsays and dear little Adam decide his mum wasn’t posh enough?

No. That’s just what you read in a tabloid. The Ramsays aren’t posh they’re just wealthy.

wossupthen · 29/12/2025 15:22

DS was at Exeter with Jack, before he (jack) dropped out. He said J would enter a room and assume everyone knew him as well as name dropping all over the place and was very choosy about who was allowed to be near him (DS was 'chosen', but had little to say when I pressed him as he is sadly is one of those people that doesn't do gossip so I didn't get much more out of him, bloody hell!

No slating here, I agree! Not all women of course, but a fair few.
it's also weird how, as in the case of Brooklyn Beckham, when a man loses touch with his family and becomes enmeshed with his wife's, it must be because he can't be arsed keeping in touch with his own family, or it's his mum's fault. Yet on another thread on here yesterday where it was the daughter not keeping in touch, everyone was worried about her being in an abusive relationship. It does happen to men too!

but equally on here we always tell husbands to protect their partner and not to hesitate to cut/go LC/NC with parents when they're threatening the new life you're trying to build.

Adam has clearly had enough of his families toxic behaviour and made the move to protect his and his new families peace.

Wasn’t the toxic behaviour simply asking why his mum wasn’t invited to the hen when she actually had a point.

If that was my daughter I’d be gutted that she and my future son in law could so unkind and immature and would be doing my best to ensure they had sorted it out by the wedding day. No parent is perfect however Peaty seems to have had an awful lot of support during the years. You’d think he could remember that and engage in a bit of maturity and kindness. His new in-laws really should have been modelling decent behaviour.

Money seems to give you zero kindness or maturity. The rest of us are juggling real life and the grind of normal work and finances. The vast majority wouldn’t be engaging in nasty spats in the run up to a wedding day.

Apparently the wider Peaty family weren’t invited to the engagement party thrown by the Ramsays and Adam’s mother fell out with GR at the party .
Allegedly.

I didn't know these 2 people existed until someone posted the aunt's Insta message the night she sent it. It was no simple question. It was the sort of shit that gets you uninvited to a wedding.🙈

instead of dealing with the aunt, the Peaty family doubled down and their behaviour became more and more bizarre.🤯

TomatoSandwiches · 29/12/2025 16:28

The Peatys should have done their home work, the Ramseys cut out Tanias father because he took financial advantage of Gordon nearly 2 decades ago. They will happily do the same with anyone not singing from the same hym book.
Peatys mother was used to running her show, but that's like comparing a family talent show in nans living room to a 3 movie deal from paramount.

Oh ffs, Gordon Ramsey is from working class stock himself, he's worked bloody hard from a young age to get to where he has (he has that in common with Adam Peaty).

If you're going to make accusations at least look at the backgrounds and make them believable.

Saying the ex "baby trapped" him is so misogynistic. He was just as much a part of making the baby as she was.

Dreadful. Like men don’t know what contraception is.

Elizabethandfour · 29/12/2025 17:07

Wasn’t it because she and her sister decided to go to the press?

I’m aware of that. I was being ironic.

Yes but they are the worst aren’t they. Like the Beckham’s. Desperate to appear posh

Sutant0 · 29/12/2025 17:50

They just seem vile and petty.

bumptybum · 29/12/2025 17:52

Aluna · 29/12/2025 15:15

This is ludicrous. Ramsay himself is from a working class background.

Peaty’s own mother summarised the issues herself in an interview to the DM. Far from saying she was ‘too common’ or ‘too fat’ as was claimed in the media, by her own account she:

  • Wanted to wear a cream/white outfit with navy accessories to the wedding, when requested to choose another outfit at the couples’ expense she hit back
  • Wanted to be invited to the hen, despite not being especially close to Holly
  • Wanted other family members to be invited to the engagement party the Ramsays threw for the couple.

If you’re nfi to something you don’t kick off in the media, and you certainly don’t demand that more distant family members are invited to a party you’re not the host of. She was absolutely free to organise her own engagement party with all their family and friends if she wanted.

Ending up disinvited to the wedding seems to be entirely down to her own actions.

Unless there is actual abuse you don’t deny your MOTHER an invitation to your wedding. Especially when Adam’s success if down to her constant and relentless support for 20 years. Driving him everywhere. Getting up at 4 in the morning

I don’t care how ‘tacky’ she might be. She’s his MOTHER and he owes her his entire life

Oooh that’s some over investment. The mother sounds wild and the family embarrassing. Poor guy probably glad to have a new family now.

EleanorReally · 29/12/2025 18:23

the New Family are not behaving very reasonably

Livpool · 29/12/2025 18:46

Aluna · 29/12/2025 08:39

You could say that but I actually think Peaty’s family has behaved worse and got themselves disinvited by their own.

To attack and humiliate their son in the media shortly before his wedding is a toxic thing to do. Then playing the victim when they’re the ones who kicked off in the press is hypocritical.

Edited

Agree with this. They are embarrassing

Dollymylove · 29/12/2025 19:07

Sartre · 29/12/2025 15:10

Agreed. He lives in rural Wales with his mum and by all accounts has a quiet life. It must be terrifying to be dragged out into loud crowds like that with cameras flashing in your face as a tiny five year old. I’m sure they could have protected him better from that.

He probably would have benefitted from having his Grandmother by his side

Nothing wrong with mil not going to the hen do - even if the brides mother is going. The brides mother is blood and seen her through childhood

ThePieceHall · 29/12/2025 19:11

I’m quite invested in this story as I am totally NC with my mother. My mother will likely die soon and I will not attend her funeral. My mother tells lies about me to her neighbours and cleaners etc. I know my truth. If my mother started SELLING her ‘stories’ to the Daily Mail, I would absolutely detonate the nuclear button and ruin her life. Adam Peaty’s mother is an arse. Even bigger an arse is Adam Peaty’s mother’s sister. How absolutely shameful that Adam Peaty’s mother is not considering her grandson, George, in all of this. She is clearly relishing the attention and the payments from the Daily Mail. Also, this BS narrative that Peaty’s mother is a quasi-saint because she used to get up at 4am to drive him to training. What teen actually wants to get up at 4am apart from one that is controlled or manipulated by their parent as a vanity project? I’m sure that, through the lens of a few Olympic medals, Peaty is appreciative now, but was this actually his choice?

StarsTwinklingPomanders · 29/12/2025 19:13

It's such an interesting situation because of their close.friends the Beckham's !

aWeeCornishPastie · 29/12/2025 19:14

@IWantToSneeze 😂😂

StarsTwinklingPomanders · 29/12/2025 19:17

@bumptybum as mentioned before however it's a fine line pushing and supporting

LarkAscendingRose · 29/12/2025 19:17

Never mind. She can go to his next one.
