Tree fairy

Every year I float the idea of a Christmas fairy to top the tree. DH and DCs all claim that a star is the ornament that should be used. We have both. AIBU to think that a fairy is THE CORRECT tree topper?

Fairy all the way!
We have always had a fairy for the top of the tree 🧚🏻‍♀️

Love your user name! Our first cat, many years ago, was called Sootica. My DC wanted to call her Gobbolino (the Witches cat’s sibling) but I couldn’t quite bring myself to do that, so Sootica she became. She lived until she was 22, so I think she was a witches cat!

If you grew up in 70s Britain it's definitely a fairy and nothing else

We have an angel but she looks as pissed as a pudding as she is on the lean.

I did grow up in 70s Britain. As a child, our Christmas tree had the same fairy/angel on it for decades. When I got my own place and my own tree, I rebelled!

We always had a fairy when I was growing up. She had a beautiful sparkly tutu. Eventually, one of her arms got snapped off, and after that she was always referred to as the one-armed bandit. Christmas wouldn't have been the same without her.
