To ask how much you think I weigh?

I’m genuinely just curious. My hairdresser said she thought I’m a good 2-3 stone lighter than I actually am, so it got me thinking!

Does the poster who gets it right win you in the MN fête?

GreenGodiva · 12/10/2025 11:39

102kg

LizzieLazzie · 12/10/2025 11:40

Around 12 stone? Depends how tall you are though!

Well, nobody can tell since you left half your body out of the photo but assuming you’re an average height old say at least 15 stone, probably a bit more. But honestly nobody cares, and everyone knows this is some kind of weird humblebrag.

alittlepieceofme · 12/10/2025 11:41

14 stone

ThatLadyLady · 12/10/2025 11:41

This in spades. It is also really odd to be even having a conversation where you ask someone to guess your weight. I would also refuse. It's a bit like people who say "oh people always say I should write a book". They don't mean it.

I was having a discussion with my hairdresser who has watched me go from 25 stone to 15! I’ve known her for years.

Really bad quality photo but in this one I was 92.4 kgs and also in a size 14. 😂

Are you very tall? I'm 173cm, similar shape but bigger boobs, size 14 and 80kg.

ThatLadyLady · 12/10/2025 10:06

I’m 15 stone 8!!!

really shocked by all the low guesses, but I’m guessing I carry it quite well!

I was going to say around 15 stone, so your weight doesn't surprise me at all. No-one irl will say you look that weight as people are generally polite and very cautious when it comes to guessing weight, particularly of people who are overweight. Well done on your weight loss so far though 👏 Keep up with the exercise as it gets harder to lose weight the older you are.

Whizzgosh · 12/10/2025 11:42

This thread shows that people generally haven’t got a clue! That’s probably because we carry weight differently depending on height and body shape as well as having an altered perception of what is normal or healthy, and for me it’s also because numbers become a bit meaningless.
I’m the same height as you op and I’m losing weight having started at a similar weight so with that advantage my guess wasn’t too far off (I thought 15 stone).
Good luck with the rest of your weight loss journey.

sunshine244 · 12/10/2025 11:44

I reckon about double my weight so 16 stone ish?

B1anche · 12/10/2025 11:44

15-16 stone?

nosleepforme · 12/10/2025 11:46

ForCraftyWriter · 12/10/2025 09:47

A lot more than 65kg I would say

Yeah I agree. I’d say 80 kg

Redpeach · 12/10/2025 11:48

No idea, dont even weigh myself

INX · 12/10/2025 11:51

fireandlightening · 12/10/2025 10:41

why oh why would you subject yourself to this free for all? I'm genuinely intrigued not by how much you weigh but by the pathology of why this matters so much to you!

I just really bloody hope the photos are actually of the OP.

They are! Why would they be of anyone else?

im genuinely curious because ive lost a huge amount of weight and i cannot look at my body objectively. I really struggle with it.

As someone who's had a lot of weight fluctuations over the years, I think that when you're into the obese category you're just a generic fat person to most observers. It doesn't really matter whether you're 13 or 20 stone, most people just register you as pretty fat and don't notice the fine grading that you become preoccupied with as you try to move down the chart. So people aren't really used to trying to guess variations on the scale, they just see very large and guesses are a bit random. Often they're too low, because either they can't conceive of anyone being that large or because they don't want to offend. The differences are much more noticeable and relatable when you get into the overweight category and keep moving down towards normal.

10 stone loss is amazing, OP. Don't rule out being a normal weight, however unrealistic it feels. Keep going and aim for the top end of healthy and see how you feel when you get there. Thinking it isn't possible for you is one of the things that makes us give up, I think. You start telling yourself it's not realistic, you carry it well, you don't want to look gaunt etc, then it legitimises the familiar comfort of giving up again.

GirlonaCloud · 12/10/2025 11:55

I've looked at how much you weigh and I was going to guess around 13-14 stone.

Well done on the weight loss OP, amazing progress!

I see you've answered now, but for the record I would have put you around 13st (similar weight to me and i thought you look to be a similar size) so i was surprised!

Good luck with everything going forward

Stravaig · 12/10/2025 12:01

100 kg or thereabouts?
