To ask how much you think I weigh?

I’m genuinely just curious. My hairdresser said she thought I’m a good 2-3 stone lighter than I actually am, so it got me thinking!

Really bad quality photo but in this one I was 92.4 kgs and also in a size 14. 😂

Without knowing your height or seeing the definition of your upper torso, I'd hazard a bid of 71kg to 74kg

13.5 to 14 stone

Well done on your weight-loss Op! I guessed about 14 to 15 stone. I think you look your weight. I was 14 stone and now I’m just under 13 , 5’2, size 14-16, obese BMI of 34 and look smaller than this. Goal of 10 stone ish (I was a size 10 last time I was 10 stone) People on MN have a very skewed idea of what weight really looks like on women. I’m glad you got mostly positive comments though as MN is quite often very fatphobic.

I’ve had similar comments from colleagues like ‘surely not, you’re not that big!’ Many people who haven’t lived as an overweight woman aren’t very good at judging what size others are.

I’m 5’2 and was a size 10 to 12 and 10 stone. I’m currently a 14 now at 12.12. Body composition is different on everyone.

About the same as me. I've got a similar body shape, but I'm probably a bit bigger.
I don't know my exact weight, but I'd guess I'm around 12 stone. So I'd guess you were around 11 stone.

This is my guess too.

I think when you have been 15/16 stone you know what that looks like, whereas someone who's never strayed about 12 stone would think of it as enormous.

I'm slightly taller than you and looked very much like you when I was 15/16 stone, so that's what I would have guessed. Massive congrats on your weight loss.

I'd say about 13 stone, so around 82kg. But those are very unflattering photos. With different clothes and from a different angle you might look much slimmer.

wow, I wouldn't have said 15 stone, more like around 13. Big cheers on the massive weight loss, I know what an achievement that is.

This in spades. It is also really odd to be even having a conversation where you ask someone to guess your weight. I would also refuse. It's a bit like people who say "oh people always say I should write a book". They don't mean it.

18 stone?

Many of us guessed correctly. Not sure what you make of that. Or why it even matters. As another poster said some of us are fat/obese. It is what it is.

Perhaps What the hairdresser was really saying is that you looked nice that day. Perhaps she is ignorant of the fact that fat people can look as well put together as thin people.

You carry your current weight incredibly well. I am your height and would weigh between 13 and 13 and 1/2 stone if I looked like you.
