To ask how much you think I weigh?

I’m genuinely just curious. My hairdresser said she thought I’m a good 2-3 stone lighter than I actually am, so it got me thinking!

The OP doesn't look 16 stone! 😂

...except she's said she's actually only a few pounds off 16 stone, so it's hardly an outlandish guess!

Wtf??? If I was 65kg (just over 10 stone) I’d be an 8-10 in dress size. I was going to guess 16 stone.

When I was 10 stone in the early 2000s I was a size 14.

Vanity sizing is a funny thing isn't it? Wink

Well she might be but she doesn't look it. Many posters are guessing 13 to 13 and a half stone.

Zempy · 12/10/2025 10:40

About 13.5 to 14 stone.

fireandlightening · 12/10/2025 10:41

why oh why would you subject yourself to this free for all? I'm genuinely intrigued not by how much you weigh but by the pathology of why this matters so much to you!

Which IMO just shows that people have lost sight of what different weights actually look like.

I don't say that to be nasty. I'm overweight myself.

I was an obese kid at school, whatever is said here doesn’t bother me! I’m just genuinely curious because I’m very bad at looking at my own body objectively. I still see myself as the 25 stone person I was at the start of last year and don’t see a difference in my body at all.

I genuinely think she does. I wasn’t far off 15 stone at one stage and I didn’t really look it either. I’m 5’7” so fairly tall but not massively so.

DrowningInSyrup · 12/10/2025 10:43

Twodogsonthecouch · 12/10/2025 10:32

What I’m fascinated by is that I really don’t see 4 stone difference between me (taken right now) at 10 stone 12 and you at 15 stone 8!
I know that you’re a few inches taller but I am really not seeing it. One stone ok, but 4?
Maybe it’s because I am so much older, nearly 60.
Anyway, it is interesting to see how people perceive size.
Fantastic achievement 👏👏👏

I think height makes a huge difference

I was a bit smaller than this pre-weight loss, and I was obese... So I'm going to say 15 stone?

I thought I was about 12 1/2 stone myself though, while I was actually 14.

Twodogsonthecouch · 12/10/2025 10:44

LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway · 12/10/2025 10:37

So you are just under 11 stone then? What height are you?

159cm, 69 kg. BMI 27.7

OP is 98.8kg and about 162cm so BMI 37.6 and I think she carries it very well because I don’t see a very significant difference

PuggyDeWuffy · 12/10/2025 10:44

About 15st.

Height, posture and how you dress yourself all make a massive difference IMO.

MillicentMaybe · 12/10/2025 10:46

Around 100kg, possibly a bit over.

I guess we women tend to think of ourselves as heavier than we actually are. And, I hope it really doesn't bother you - but if you've posted about it, it is obviously something that preoccupies you. Well done on the weight loss!

Helpwithdivorce · 12/10/2025 10:47

16 stone or there abouts

Just gone back through and seen I was correct. You look the same as I did when I was 16 stone and you’re a similar height. Well done on your weight loss. I’m now 10 stone from 16 so it can be done

I do and would also have guessed your weight relatively accurately the issue is you’re wearing oversized thick clothes, and hence your side view isn’t very visible.

MsCactus · 12/10/2025 10:51

I'd say 15 stone

Newsenmum · 12/10/2025 10:52

80kg

What does it look like to you? As many of us guessed right. Probably about half of us. The fact she doesn’t look it to you means it’s your perception; and others with you.

Imissgoldengrahams · 12/10/2025 10:49

Im 73kg and a 14 it’s nuts

Charlenedickens · 12/10/2025 10:56

the other thing is it is hard to tell unless next to someone else; a pic in isolation, with many looking on a small phone screen is difficult to judge.

so for example if the op was standing next to a woman her height who weighed 8 stone, and someone on the other side who weight 21 stone, it would probably be easier for those who struggle to guess correctly. With no perspective and a small screen I think it’s difficult.

im on a large screen,so it is easier for me to see properly and guess.

OrchardDoor · 12/10/2025 10:57

I would have guessed 12 stone
