In the wake of the tragic events that took place in Manchester, I want to implore people not to lose steam or, more importantly, hope.

Gaza is still facing destruction, famine and genocide.

We need to continue to peacefully pressure our government to take action and sanction the Israeli government and to educate and inform people about the horrors faced by the Palestinian people day in and day out for the last two years.

People who opposed the liberation of Palestine want for this to be a turning point. For people to point the finger at a movement that wants to see the end of the suffering of millions and label it as inciting hate.

It's not.
And it's important.

Please don't put down your passion for Gaza.

Or an actual academic journalist from a respected and edited publication. Funny that.

Can't just go round amplifying anti-terrorist Gazan voices when there's 'anti- Zionist' Western voices to centre. That would never do.

So it’s only terrorist when an Israeli causes terror in England? As long as it’s only Palestinian churches being bombed, it’s ok?

Can you really not tell the difference between a war in a foreign country and a terrorist attack in this one? Seriously? Maybe you shouldn't be allowed on the internet if this is the level of comprehension you can muster.

You know, I can even see the connection which is why I want peace. I think ceasefire would be a good place to start.

ShazMidlands · 04/10/2025 00:22

No I will not. Zionism means an Israel home for their women and children not an evil word to be condemned. Palestine is a state run by a terrorist organisation and most people on here wouldn't last 5 minutes in a place like Palestine with the human rights record there regardless of any war. Jewish people are quiet friendly people who integrate in western countries as are supposed " zionists" who simply want to live in a tiny country which is smaller than Wales. Look at Israel on a map - a tiny country where the people there wish to live in peace without their women and children butchered at a music festival.

Jewish people have lived in Israel for 3 thousand years long before the muslim caliphate invaded it in the 7th century murdering the people there -leave Israel alone you disgusting people. Israel is the homeland of Jewish people who lived there for 2500 years before Islam was even created.

I don't think that Netanyahu, Smotrich and Ben-Gvir are 'are quiet friendly people'. They are disgusting war mongers who are committing genocide.

Northernlights19 · 04/10/2025 16:34

Are you planning or attending any protests about the Christians being killed in Nigeria, out of interest?

xanthomelana · 04/10/2025 16:34

There’s a time and a place for everything and it’s in bad taste that these protests have been carried out this weekend.

I don’t agree with what’s happening in Gaza but equally I don’t agree with the actions of Pro Palestine either. If anything they should be distancing themselves from the terrorist that committed his attack in Manchester but from my opinion it looks like they are celebrating it by continuing to protest.

I hope there’s no more violence today because there’s going to be a lot of people who don’t agree with it going ahead.

Continuing to protest

Not the Manchester attack or
anti semitism
or anything to do with Jewish people

Protesting atm is crucial given there is a deal on the table which could stop the suffering of Palestinians
This is a key moment for an end to the war and perhaps even some freedom for Gazans going forward

Many many countries are showing their support and so should we

Please continue to protest!

@IAmThePrettiestManOnMyIsland

Well said. I am also very worried and frankly horrified that so many people living in the UK now live in fear, many British Jews feel they have to hide their identity. It is extremely disturbing that the protestors have no interest in their concerns whatsoever.

Why should they give a shit about others concerns.
They have the agenda drummed in to them that causing fear to Jewish people is part of the programme.
None of these fuckers were around in Nazi Germany to see the parallels.
They disgust me .

wrongthinker · 04/10/2025 16:34

Icreatedausernameyippee · 04/10/2025 16:23

So those lives are less important because they were giving aid in a foreign country?

There's a completely different context and meaning to those deaths. I really don't know how to explain to you that different things are different... Like, someone dying in a war zone is not the same as someone being killed in a terror attack in their own country. I feel that if you can't understand something so simple, this might explain how you have become so engaged in campaigning for antisemitic terrorists.

Grammarnut · 04/10/2025 16:35

Icreatedausernameyippee · 04/10/2025 15:24

How are the hostages meant to be fed when aid is being blocked? Trucks of food are being ripped apart by settlers to prevent the aid reaching Gaza.
The only proven genocide is the one that's been declared in Gaza. There's a decaled famine in Gaza.

This does not appear to be the case. But armed men (the UN will not identify them which suggests it's not the IDF) are looting aid trucks. Anyway, Hamas could allow in the Red Cross to make sure the hostages were fed. How come they have not?
I see you do not dispute that Hamas soldiers wear civilian clothes and mix in with civilians?

extremely disingenuous to declare that a thread about the palestine protests mustn’t discuss antisemitism or the manchester attack. But yes, you’d love it if antisemitism and antisemitic attacks were ignored, wouldn’t you?

Well maybe Hamas should agree to a ceasefire one of these times then. But because of people like you cheering them on, they keep holding out, refusing to give back hostages, and letting more people die. It's a shame. Shame on them and shame on you for encouraging them.

Boomer55 · 04/10/2025 16:37

I’m between the two. Even as part Jewish, I don’t support Israel. Neither do I support terrorists. But I’m old enough to remember the IRA attacks over here, abd we carried on with everything normal. 🤷‍♀️

But, nothing done or said here, on either side, will have the slightest influence anywhere that matters. 🤷‍♀️

Gosh, you have really gone full in on the Hamas propaganda, haven't you? Please look again - there have been ceasefires but Hamas refuses to agree to the terms, which include giving back the hostages. Don't you remember when they sent back the dead babies instead?

One of those poor victims was shot by the British police, which is also shameful.

An imam was stabbed not long ago in London. Did the Israeli protests stop? Did anyone even ask for them to stop? Did anyone even know the imam was stabbed in the first place?!

I've looked it up and the investigation has not named the attacker or suggested a motive yet- do you know who the assailant was and if their motive was anything to do with Israel?
