In the wake of the tragic events that took place in Manchester, I want to implore people not to lose steam or, more importantly, hope.

Gaza is still facing destruction, famine and genocide.

We need to continue to peacefully pressure our government to take action and sanction the Israeli government and to educate and inform people about the horrors faced by the Palestinian people day in and day out for the last two years.

People who opposed the liberation of Palestine want for this to be a turning point. For people to point the finger at a movement that wants to see the end of the suffering of millions and label it as inciting hate.

It's not.
And it's important.

Please don't put down your passion for Gaza.

I blame the politicians that have let this carnage in Gaza go on for so long. It's allowed time to stir up more hatred and action from extremists. It should have been dealt with long before now.

I don’t think I can discuss anything with you as you are either not very knowledgeable or just deny the truth. Israeli soldiers have killed Palestinian children playing in their garden, on beaches, on their way to school. Please educate yourself.

In every war there are sadly innocent lives lost - mostly due to the cowards of Hamas scuttling around hiding in hospitals and schools. They even blew up their own hospital in 2024 which the BBC initially blamed on Israel before apologising when it was a " misfiring Hamas rocket"

Anyone can read your edit and see what you said.

Look, I edited because I wrote that the Israelis had loved the Palestinians up rather than LOCKED up which I meant to write. As I was editing I thought why bother and deleted some of the post. So happy to repeat as you obviously got very caught up in this. I said Israel has more blood on their hands than the Palestinians. That is because they are the stronger party having locked the Palestinians away. They are both as murdeous as each other with their present people in charge. Happy now?

forgotmyusername1 · 04/10/2025 13:33

Hamas used 7000 fighters to attack Israel on 119 borders and kill 1200 innocent people on oct 7th. It wasn't a small group who went in but a large scale attack on a neighbouring country. Hamas seem to feel their own people are rather disposable. It is a sad situation all around but Israel didn't start it

Please continue to protest!
VegBox · 04/10/2025 13:34

I would be more sympathetic to the calls for the protests to be paused if they weren't coming from people who have been agitating to stop the protests from the very start.

While we all mourn the two victims of the Manchester tragedy, Israeli bombing has killed at least 20 people this morning. Until the bombing stops, the protests should continue.

flumposie · 04/10/2025 13:34

No. I remeber watching Hamas make a spectacle of handing over the coffins of the Bibas family and the crowds laughing and jeering. Disgusting people. Free the hostages 🎗

This began a long time before 7th October, with responsibility on both sides.

English people don't want migrant but we the Christian migrants are here and here to stay and make sure the UK stays Pro-Jewish nation. Good luck maam with your efforts though, do what you want, I continue to support our English authorities with prayer - this is what St Paul commanded in his Epistles. A question, do you know who he is? Do pm me if you want the good news shared to you

Hamas are fanatics.
They choose to hide amongst schools & hospitals to try and stop Israel rooting them out.
Unfortunately if they are not wiped out completely then they will regroup over time and another attack on Israel will be inevitable.
Whilst I appreciate that not all Muslims are fanatics, you can't get away from the fact that 80% of terrorist attacks throughout the world are committed by Muslims..why is that?

  1. Islam has never undergone a reformation and never can, so no new testament.

  2. The Muslims carrying out these atrocities are complete nutters, totally insane and unhinged. (the UAE denies Muslim kids from Britain due to such extreme radicalisation)

you are in a lost battle. Don't need to tell you more. The more you protest, the more you will be curbed and Israel has the support of the whole western and eastern christian world.

Er, no it doesn’t. Israel is being roundly condemned. Rightly so, for their genocide.

I honestly think since COVID people crave a collective emotional derangement and this is the current one.

This is very perceptive. It would be great if there was a protest about the toxicity of histrionic group think.

ACynicalDad · 04/10/2025 13:37

Utterly classless. Give it a couple of weeks and read the room. See if the hostages get released too. Would charge a lot.

BeNattyKoala · 04/10/2025 13:37

Lifecanbebeautiful12 · 04/10/2025 13:30

This is pure manipulation and propaganda. And the zionists who constantly repeat this know that very well. Palestinians are not terrorists, they are not bad people. They are normal people who have children, dreams, hopes, ambitions, feelings etc. The Zionist government have relentlessly fed the world lies for 76 years and now that people are waking up and realising that, the zionists are panicking. The Zionists are and always have been the aggressors.

Of course everyone should and will continue to protest because no matter how much you try to twist reality, the majority of people don’t want to see mass slaughter of any persons. These days we have access to a more free media and social media and people have seen the truth.

Yet over half these Palestinians support baby raping Hamas and "zionists" which you spit out with vemon are just Jewish people wanting to live in Israel without being slaughtered by hostile states around them

the ‘peaceful’ protests where a woman holding the Israeli flag surrounded by pro-Israel protestors called a Jewish child (who was protesting for Gaza) a “son of a whore”?

According to news reports from who I think are respected journalists, as the situation has descended into hell, more are more desperate civilians have been emboldened to state their opposition to Hamas. So yes, the innocent population is increasingly speaking out against Hamas, even on film.
Tell me, if you were living under a terrorist regime, would you have spoken out against it 18 months ago, when you still felt you had something to lose?
To rely on such outdated information weakens your argument.

4 boys were killed in rocket fire shows they were deliberately targeted does it in a fashion like Hamas who were parading severed babies heads around? No one is saying that people haven't sadly lost their lives, the point is the IDF did not target civilian children unlike the state you defend for some bizarre reason known only to you

sesquipedalian · 04/10/2025 13:41

@Ruby1985 -
“Some ignorant mumsnetters may not agree and who cares for their opinions”

Other mumsnetters are not “ignorant” simply because they don’t share your opinion. It is “ignorant” (and rude) to suggest that they are. It doesn’t matter what opinions people hold: they are as entitled to their point of view as you are to yours. I care a great deal that innocent people are being killed - the Israeli hostages; all those who through no fault of their own are caught up in war both in the Middle East and in Ukraine; the innocent Jews simply wanting to go to their synagogue for Yom Kippur and any others wrongfully killed for simply going about their business. No conflict is ever one-sided, and being rude to those who do not share your opinion is hardly a way to convince them of your side of the argument.

Bagsintheboot · 04/10/2025 13:41

I'm completely heartsick of hearing about the atrocities that Israel and Hamas visit on each other and how it's always the other person's fault. It's been going on since I was a child. It started way before October 7th and no doubt it will sadly continue.

If I was in any kind of position of power I'd knock their heads together and tell them to cut it the fuck out. As the refrain of many mothers goes: I don't care who started it, I'm finishing it.

Hamas attacks Israel and more hatred against Palestine and Muslims crops up. Israel attacks Palestine and more anti-Semitism crops up. A Muslim attacks a Synagogue and we start up again with the Islamophobia. And on and on the cycle fucking goes.

From where I'm standing, they're all as bad as each other. There is no good, righteous side in this sad sorry conflict.

I am not an expert but wasn’t the Koran written after the New Testament ? Anyway, people make their own interpretation of both books. I am not fan of religion general.

No one is disagreeing that the terrorists are nutters if that’s your preferred term, but that’s a massive leap to talk about British Muslim children there. You sound like you have some very bigoted views.

so let's get this right, a poll 18 months ago is invalid because the civilians are so desperate to stay alive they have dropped their support of baby rapists and murderers so now decent people - got it. Completely altruistic reasons then and nice people
