Fucking flags

I know this has probably been done to death on here and there will be lots of threads about it already but I cant be bothered to trawl through the site for them so here I am.

I’m so irritated by the England flags popping up everywhere. There has been an influx put up in my area over the last week, it seems to be increasing by the day. I don’t hate the flag, but I hate the fact it is being used to send a clear message by racists. People aren’t doing it to be patriotic they are doing it to be hateful towards those that they don’t feel ‘belong’ in their country.

I don’t want to see all of these flags in my area. If people are entitled to put them up then why am I not entitled to go and cut the fuckers down? And don’t get me started on the spray painting of public roundabouts and road signage by people who allegedly love their country so much that they are vandalising it at the expense of public money.

If I see one more person give a ‘big well done to whoever has erected the flags on xyz street’ on Facebook I will explode. Does anyone else feel ragey over it?

It’s fairly well documented. This is another thing you could just look up. Maybe get someone to read the big words for you if you struggle with it?

For example, there’s no space before a full stop. This is something you should have been taught at school, and clearly you’ve been let down.

There’s just one in the village, predictably the house of a very unpleasant swearing bully, who recently had a go at one of the older ladies who live here when she asked him up put his dog on a lead after it ran after her dog.

I don't think a gif of Farage waving a Union flag will win hearts and minds, TBH, but do nail your colours to the mast.

I’m with you. Let’s blame immigrants for our problems and not the billionaires. The right wing press have played a blinder. It’s making me depressed.

Because it's not about the flag itself. It's about the intention behind it. I saw a post of a Muslim woman walking over zebra crossing painted with St George crosses - the caption was something like 'suck it , bitch'. That's the kind of crap you're defending here.
'Any other flag' tends to not come with a side of racism - except perhaps Confederate ones.

But if you are seeking asylum, you are meant to be fleeing from a very dangerous country - one that could see you killed if you remain.

I don't think any man worth his salt, would abandon his wife and children in a dangerous country? Leave them without a male protector, and just hope for the best? It could take years to reach the UK, and seek (and be approved for) legal status, and then get a job. Are these men just hoping that in the meantime his wife and kids didn't get slaughtered?

Come on now, stop being so naive. They aren't fleeing danger. They are wanting to be here for the free ride they are given. And they have no interest in integrating with the indigenous people who they despise. They despise YOU - don't you realise that?

I am looking at the total picture of immigration into the UK. Which you seem to be struggling to understand, and we’ve already established you have some limits in that department but I literally don’t know how I can make that any simpler so you get it.

I find it depressing. If it was actually about national pride and reclaiming the flag from the right wing nut jobs I would love it. But it’s about racists and xenophobia threatening and intimidating people.

We have a couple of little flags next door.
Are we surprised? no
But they are little probably for fear of the house being egged because we are on a very diverse street.

All I will say is that MN really needs to look into developing an "ignore user" button. These threads always drag out the same posters getting out bingo cards, medals, biscuits,flowers etc etc😴
