Fucking flags

xmaspud3 · 09/09/2025 15:01

I know this has probably been done to death on here and there will be lots of threads about it already but I cant be bothered to trawl through the site for them so here I am.

I’m so irritated by the England flags popping up everywhere. There has been an influx put up in my area over the last week, it seems to be increasing by the day. I don’t hate the flag, but I hate the fact it is being used to send a clear message by racists. People aren’t doing it to be patriotic they are doing it to be hateful towards those that they don’t feel ‘belong’ in their country.

I don’t want to see all of these flags in my area. If people are entitled to put them up then why am I not entitled to go and cut the fuckers down? And don’t get me started on the spray painting of public roundabouts and road signage by people who allegedly love their country so much that they are vandalising it at the expense of public money.

If I see one more person give a ‘big well done to whoever has erected the flags on xyz street’ on Facebook I will explode. Does anyone else feel ragey over it?

What I wonder is why the 'English' flag and not the Union flag ? Did the Queen fly the Saint George's cross over Buckingham Palace ?

What’s your definition of ‘actual racism’? Could you give some examples?

For example, if a lad has to ask his mum why people are shouting horrible things at them in the street and the same people are putting flags up, what’s his mum meant to say to explain it?

Easipeelerie · 09/09/2025 22:13

Petitchat · 09/09/2025 21:11

Only because people like you are giving it racist overtones and scaremongering.

Just pack it in.

“Pack it in” - that’s a blast from the past.
i think you’ve missed the point of my reply. I don’t need to imagine what might be going on. We all know, including you, what is going on here.

I'll be proud to put them on my house and I reckon some of the neighbours will follow suit.

The only question remains, which flag on which wall?
Union Jack at the front, I think...

Another trouble causer.

I asked nicely why she isn't speaking English to her children.
They need to learn to live here, educate here, make friends here.

Stop shit stirring...

It is really quite wonderful to speak more than one language. You should give it a go.

Because they are ENGLISH and proud!!! English! Like tea! And cricket! And curry! Not bloody Welsh or Irish or Scot ENGLISH!

I doubt any one gives a shit. It’s the Union flag, BTW not Jack. Try not to hang it upside down.

This thread, with posters telling others when and where they should fly their flags and for what reason, has convinced me to buy two tomorrow.
Front and back of our home.

No bullies are going to tell me whether or not I can fly an England flag or UnionJack.

This response tells me you’ve tuned out, ignored or are pretending to ignore what you have read here.

So even though people on this thread have said how uncomfortable it makes them feel, people have shared information on Operation raise the Colours being organised by the Right Wing extremists you still refuse to even give it a second thought!

Really?

If people feel uncomfortable they don’t have to live here. If they choose to live here, under our national flag they do so with the understanding that we live in a democracy and we can express ourselves, if we wish. We have our values here and an incredible history that we refuse to see diluted/mauled.

I am absolutely sick to death of the self flagellation of the far left.

The endless bed wetting and the force feeding of their toxic woke agenda. The consistent barrage of labelling, shaming and silencing. Just stop.

The flag is ours. It does not belong to raise the bloody colours or any other trite you attach it to. It is our national flag, it remains so - and when you are not shunning poppy wearers or slagging off veterans that give you your freedom of expression today - you just will not stop. Like a whining mosquito.

Why don’t you start to listen?

Why won’t Labour act on the concerns of over 70% of the population? Why is this even a conversation in 2025? It is because we have a total leadership vacuum. Radio silence from No 10. No direction, no policies and no vision. Whether you love the flags or not. It is simply filling the void.

Patriotism is not nationalism.

But would probably fail the citizenship test Grin @Slabberon

NotMyNigelFarage · 09/09/2025 22:20

We lost the ability to discuss immigration rationally somewhere around 2016.

The same year 1200 European women were sexually assaulted in one night by middle eastern immigrants? Surely not....

There are 2 people who have harassed, stalked and been found guilty of hate crime against me because I am EU citizen, and they have put the flags up outside their property or well, hanging out of a window havent bothered getting a flag pole. I have never been bothered by English flag before, I do feel like it is aimed at foreigners in this current climate to make us feel unwelcome.

I’m so sorry to read this. It’s just awful. And embarrassing.

As far as I’m concerned you’re very welcome.

I’ve lived in other countries and was very grateful for people making me and my kids feel so welcome.

My FWB has just purchased a fuck off pole kit, complete with UJ from Amazon for 80 quid. It looks stunning. He's got the massive garden for it to stand in. Plenty of passing cars beep!

Who’s this ‘we’ you’re on about? That the issue isn’t it? Put your flag on your own gaff if you like - but that isn’t what the painting of roundabouts is about, is it?

Just reposting since it's the last page and the right whingers on here really hate it when you point out the type of people they've thrown their hat in with

Friendly reminder that some of the chief flag raisers behind this campaign include:

Andy Currie, who was jailed for his part in a racist fight that lead to a death in 2009.

Lee Twamley, who served time for being part of an illegal immigration operation in 2016 (I am not joking).

Guramit Singh, who was jailed for tying up a shop assistant and threatened to slash his throat in an attempted robbery.

And Paul Golding, leader of Britain First and self proclaimed fascist with several hate crime convictions.

What a lovely bunch of proud patriots, who fully embody British values 😂

RufustheFactualReindeer · 09/09/2025 22:23

Plus there are flagpoles up and down my road…no cars beep 😀

Before Reform took hold to this level people were voting for the other parties, maybe Labour would love them back.

You may want to check who these areas voted for before they voted reform.

It’s not about being brown!!! I have Russian friends and family, it’s not about hating Russian people. Stop googling some nonsense you have no idea about. It’s not Eugenics. It was intentional rape with the intent to make another country more ‘Russian’. Because if you live in that country and were born in that country you should learn the language of the country you are in. Do you see Putin now trying to regain land from Ukraine? Is that something you agree with? Just because a lot of ethnic Russians live in the parts of Ukraine that Putin is trying to reclaim (and funnily enough is an area rich in minerals and oil) does not mean he should take it back just because a large part of that area is inhabited by Russians living in Ukraine.

Clearly you have never lived in a country under occupation. As a child I was forced to learn Russian by the occupiers - there was no choice.
People killed for not agreeing with Russian propaganda.

Your woke brain is broken. Lack of assimilation is the problem with modern day Britain - that is what is causing that flag waving madness you can see now. Of course there are plenty of uneducated flag wavers - the Britain First type. Most people aren’t bothered that people want their children to learn the native language of the parents. My children speak 3, english, Latvian and Ukrainian. I speak 7, fluently.

7 languages, fluently? That's impressive.
Maybe one day you'll learn to form a coherent argument in English.
Удачи 😊
