Fucking flags

xmaspud3 · 09/09/2025 15:01

I know this has probably been done to death on here and there will be lots of threads about it already but I cant be bothered to trawl through the site for them so here I am.

I’m so irritated by the England flags popping up everywhere. There has been an influx put up in my area over the last week, it seems to be increasing by the day. I don’t hate the flag, but I hate the fact it is being used to send a clear message by racists. People aren’t doing it to be patriotic they are doing it to be hateful towards those that they don’t feel ‘belong’ in their country.

I don’t want to see all of these flags in my area. If people are entitled to put them up then why am I not entitled to go and cut the fuckers down? And don’t get me started on the spray painting of public roundabouts and road signage by people who allegedly love their country so much that they are vandalising it at the expense of public money.

If I see one more person give a ‘big well done to whoever has erected the flags on xyz street’ on Facebook I will explode. Does anyone else feel ragey over it?

It concerns me how many people are. He makes my skin crawl, vile man no better than Trump.

And Farage is hardly ever in the UK.

I heard a comedian on the radio joking that the best way to get away from Nigel Fromage is to live in his constituency. His constant absence shows you just how patriotic he is. He isn't serving his country. He is serving the diabolical fascistic delusions he has harboured since he was a child.

The thing that’s obvious from all this is the catastrophic failings in education in the UK over the last 40 years.

It’s no coincidence that the overwhelming majority of the flag shaggers clearly struggle with comprehension, spelling, grammar and critical thinking.

One need look no further than some of the posters on here for evidence that they’ve been badly let down by the education system.

If politics and critical thinking are not routinely taught in schools we can’t then be surprised that the less bright among us fall for every scapegoating scheme touted by charlatans like Nazi Nige.

Agree about the decline in education standards, which I believe started with the reforms of Mrs Thatcher's third term from 1987 onwards.

As for the OP, two things to suggest. Firstly leave Facebook, and secondly a plea to the OP and everyone else to refer to the man arrested after an incident at St Pancras station as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, his real name.

Not understanding what racism is, or that it’s best to not align yourself with known racists, probably is a marker of intelligence.

Coleration?? Doesn’t your XL bully need his tea?

People who have failed to note the racist intention of those who have erected England flags must walk around with their head up their arse . . .

I bow in admiration to your greater skills of bendability.

Me, my joints are not that flexible - despite that, I enjoy seeing my nation's flag.

I mean, coleration isn’t a word at all, so…..

Do you perhaps mean ‘correlation’?

VanillaImpulse · 09/09/2025 16:01

How do you know this? Have you asked every person who has done it?

It’s almost like they’re are making an assumption about an entire group of people… I think they call that prejudice don’t they?

GobShy · 09/09/2025 16:13

Dangermoos · 09/09/2025 15:59

I guess they are giving the hard left thugs a run for their money. They've got way to go before they are whacked on a proscribed terrorist list.

Because Keir Starmer is the most lily livered coward of a leader that this country has ever witnessed. He would prefer to indulge fascists than challenge the people they have brainwashed co-opted. No wonder Farage and co are trying to persuade people not to go to university. The more uneducated the population, the less critical thinking he has to contend with.

👏🏻👏🏻 he doesn’t care about us and never has. His fake concern for women makes me laugh same with Robinson. Beyond me why people worship them.

Wow. Your well-reasoned and totally rational argument has been very persuasive and I now completely agree with you.

You were doing so well until you used the words "flag shaggers" and "Nazi Nige". You've let yourself down there.

Periperi2025 · 09/09/2025 16:14

Surely the fact that England has reached the stage where its own flag is shameful, and how England got to this point is something that people need to seriously reflect on.

I'm English living in Wales and the level of patriotism was a bit of a shock when i first moved here, but now I get it and I love it (even if my Welsh language ability is still pretty poor), at school they have multiple 'Welsh' themed events and days each year (a Red T shirt is an essential addition to the school uniform it happens so much) the kids love it and are proud in a really positive way. England should never have been able to move so far from this point to have reach a staged where their own flag is considered, by many, to be an act of fascism.

I wish we could fly the Union and St George's flags the way the Scots can fly the saltire and the Welsh theirs. First one and then the other have become hijacked and loaded by association with views many of us do not hold and are seen as more about division than unity.

I also think people who are using them for racist purposes would be very disappointed by the origins of the figure most likely to be the basis for St George. Very far from white Anglo Saxon.

Nicola Sturgeon thinks there are too many Scottish flags flying in Aberdeen 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why are you pretending that you don't know what's really going on? What do you get out of doing that?

Comfortnotspeedy · 09/09/2025 16:15

CaptainMyCaptain · 09/09/2025 15:17

People keep saying this but which countries have flags tied to lamp posts with cable ties or hanging out of their windows?

Exactly. Or painted on roundabouts. The people who do this do it to intimidate and they are not the sort of people I would want to associate with. Someone in my locality does it. He’s a nasty piece of work.

No, I really haven’t, but thank you for your concern. 🤷‍♀️ I meant exactly what I said. If people don’t want to be labeled Nazis, they can easily avoid it by just not acting like one.

The very act of them being put up is the evidence of racism on behalf of those doing it…

Oh? How so?
