Dh has just done it on the bbq and thinks it’s fine and i’m too fussy, I’m not but admittedly the only thing i’m ever cautious/fussy over is meat being cooked enough, I tend to really overcook mine

I can’t eat this 😬

No image so sorry, can't comment. But yes, better to er on the side of caution with chicken.

Dartmoorcheffy · 20/08/2025 14:49

Cant see anything but the internal temp at the thickest part (leg) should be at least 73 degrees. I never bbq chickens from raw. I oven cook then crisp up the skin on the bbq.

Charabanc · 20/08/2025 14:50

Just microwave your bit for a minute or so.

Wolfpa · 20/08/2025 14:51

Has he got a thermometer probe to check the internal temperature? I am much more confident with my cooking now I have one.

Ballykissmangle · 20/08/2025 15:22

AlertEagle · 20/08/2025 15:41

Is your husband trying to bump you off because that is quite obviously completely undercooked 😬

WhenYouSayNothingAtAll · 20/08/2025 15:45

Way too shiny to be even in the vicinity of cooked.Grin

Nevereatcardboard · 20/08/2025 15:45

I wouldn’t risk it as it doesn’t look fully cooked.

TheNightingalesStarling · 20/08/2025 15:53

Get a meat thermometer if you are going to bbq chicken. Won't help today obviously.

doodleschnoodle · 20/08/2025 15:53

Invest in a meat thermometer.

Brainworm · 20/08/2025 15:57

I read a report a few months ago suggesting that in the UK around 10% of chicken is infected with salmonella and campylobacter, so you could be ok. Time will tell!

MissMoneyFairy · 20/08/2025 15:57

It looks almost raw, was it chewy

Not really funny is it though

BlueMum16 · 20/08/2025 16:00

That looks raw. Not at all cooked. Cooked chicken is white and not pink

I hope you've not eaten it or given to young/elderly as they could be very ill.

No but surely you've eaten chicken before and know the texture when its cooked
