Toasted tiger bread with butter and jam...lighthearted.

As the title says. Toasted till dark but not burnt tiger bread with lashings of salted butter and a thick spread of extra special strawberry jam. Am I being an unreasonable weirdo with both butter and jam? Or am I a very reasonable buttery jam munching slavery carb muncher? How do you take yours? If you like toast/butter/jam? Or too scared and just toast/jam. 😃

Always butter and jam. My DH has butter with chocolate spread. Now that is gross.

Yanbu buttery jammy tiger toast is the best but someone will come along and tell you that you will die immediately from the toxicity in the processing involved in tiger bread. They probably print the tiger pattern on with weed killer or something.

Love the crustiness of tiger bread. Any crusty bread is lovely, when toasted.

I don't however have butter on a bacon butty, that is weird.

Ooohhhh im gonna try that next bread buy. Never used to like jam at all but when I was stuck in hospital for months when I was pregnant with our daughter 10 years ago I couldn't get enough of it, cheap bread it was but by god it awakened a serious taste sensation to me 😋🤣

I just have toast and jam, no butter, but thinking about it I would never have jam on tiger bread. Does the crust not taste weird with the sweet jam? Or am I missing out?!

I was still pregnant, I had to spend months in hospital as I had placenta percreata so was on watch 👀. It must of been a wee craving I had that I never got rid of 😆 🤣

I recall Mary Berry saying she had toast in the morning made with her own bread, and a scrape of marmite. At the weekend she allowed herself marmalade.
Butter never mentioned. But then she is effectively our Queen now and thin as a twig.
