I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and I wonder if others feel the same. With everything going on, from the arrival of illegal migrants in small boats to a government that seems powerless, and with Farage gaining popularity because people are fed up, it feels like tension is rising across the country.

People are frustrated. You try to raise concerns and are instantly labelled a racist or bigot, even when your worries are about integration, safety, and national identity, not race. It feels like any honest conversation is being shut down.

There are parts of the UK where people who were born and raised here no longer feel at home. In some areas, if you are not part of the dominant local community, you can feel completely out of place or even unsafe walking alone at night. That is not right in your own country.

It is not just about people coming from Muslim-majority countries or those arriving illegally. There are also large numbers of Eastern Europeans, including Bulgarians, Romanians, and Russians. Many work hard and contribute, but there are also communities forming where people keep to themselves, speak no English, and make no effort to integrate. Some of these areas are experiencing rising antisocial behaviour, crime, and a breakdown of community life.

You can find videos online showing the state of some of these areas, with rubbish piling up, people ignoring the rules, and no sign of enforcement. It looks lawless, and it often is. But speaking about it honestly is considered of limits.

I live next to a Muslim family and they are wonderful people. Friendly, respectful, hardworking. So this is not about judging individuals. This is about a wider pattern where people are arriving, not integrating, and changing the fabric of our country in ways no one voted for.

We are a Christian country with our own traditions, values, and way of life. Why is it seen as wrong to want to preserve that? If we moved to Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, or Russia, we would be expected to adapt to their culture. So why is it unacceptable to ask the same here?

The anger and division in this country are growing. I do not want unrest or conflict, but I cannot ignore what feels like a serious shift. When ordinary people feel ignored for too long, things eventually boil over.

Is anyone else feeling this? Or are we just not allowed to talk about it anymore?

On a side note, it's strange that during lockdown, a frustrated and sarcastic post that I may have made about the peasants revolting due to the hokey cokey of ever changing rulez was partly to blame for the 7 "State of Fear" threads being taken down en masse due to far right panic and conspiratorial leanings, yet threads like this with just as much in the way of dodgy statistics and xenophobia etc are being allowed to stand unchecked. (For the record, peasant and proud 😘).

We silly women were such a threat to public order then, but now we have free rein apparently.

Interesting, very interesting.....

I don't think there will be because British people are brow beaten and scared to be called racist.

Lots of people on here must've lived a sheltered life to miss what's going on in most large cities.

25% of rapes/sexual assaults are committed by foreign nationals. Yes, English men do this too. But this figure kind of says it all, especially when comparing population ratio.

As for the 'No English' sign. I believe this. Where I used to live 2 men premeditated a murder on a white person. After killing him they sprayed the underground passage with 'no whites'. I see this with my own eyes. And I was racially abused myself in the same underground, as were many of my neighbours, and mugged.

The majority of people do want a peaceful life but the government is doing fuck all to vet these immigrants.

26% of 1,453 sex assault convictions on women last year were foreign nationals.

There are around ten million foreign nationals in the UK.

I will leave you to do the maths.

NaicePeachJoker · 04/08/2025 21:22

Why what?

Why would you hate to live where I live?

Westfacing · 04/08/2025 21:25

Those who are bemoaning about white British becoming the minority probably voted for Brexit and are now Reform voters.

They are the people responsible for the increase in legal migration from countries like Nigeria, India, China - someone has to do the jobs that once would have been filled by east European migrants

People from anywhere in the world can apply for work visas for lowly paid jobs, before they couldn't do this.

You wanted Brexit and this current situation is what you brought about.

…so we ban all foreigners from coming over ? If you look at the stats, these are people who are over here legally.

We would need to ban visitors from Italy, Spain, Portugal etc .. as they are all in the numbers (and my guess if thar many more British Men commit sexual assaults in those countries)

Should British people be banned from living in Spain, because some British people commit sexual assaults whilst they are living there?

Personally I’d hate to live in a place with people who share your views, but I guess each to their own yeah?

Lol. Agree. My guess is that the OP never stops banging on about it. I was in stansted Tuesday and a completely inoccuous woman looked around passport control and said aloud "Ugh, look at the great unwashed". What the utter fuck.

I don’t even understand what that means, what that women said

There was an interesting article in the Daily Mail today about immigration (quelle surprise!) with one of those interactive maps of the UK. You put in your postcode and it tells you how much the population has grown over the past couple of years, and the number of immigrants/emigrants over that period.

I live in a northern city, and our population has grown by 1%. But interestingly the vast majority of this increase was due to ’internal immigration’ (i.e. British people moving here).

Would this provoke the same “You can’t come here, we’re full” argument? Or are people happy with population growth as long as it’s British people who are moving to their area?

Exactly! But that doesn’t suit the narrative of Farage! Sadly he feeds on people’s insecurities regarding migration. He never splits legal migration from illegal migration! I actually do t think he knows the difference. Hopefully before the next election people will wake up
and see what Reform really stand for!

I don't understand how people are not more concerned about the fact white British children will grow up a minority in their own country. We are sleepwalking into becoming a muslim country, and our government isn't listening to valid concerns.

You write this as if there are two categories, "white British" and "Muslim". But in the research that was reported by the Telegraph a couple of months ago and got a lot of people "with a lot of black friends but" all hot and bothered about this alleged trend https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/06/03/white-british-minority-in-40-years-report-claims/, it's clear that the great majority of non-"white British" people will not be Muslim. The definition includes having one parent born abroad or not identifying as white, which means that anyone with a parent who came from the EU is included, along with millions of third-generation mixed-race people. It includes King Charles III, Kemi Badenoch, Ben Habib, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, Rishi Sunak, and Emma Raducanu.

But maybe all of those are diluting the spirit of Britishness too, as Ant Middleton — who seems to have called this week for anyone with a grandparent born outside the UK to be banned from public office — would preumably claim? (It seems Mr Middleton is more tolerant of people who have spent time in jail for assaulting police officers, or who have been disqualified as company directors over unpaid tax. We all deserve a third chance if we're white and British.)

Dymaxion · 04/08/2025 21:29

25% of rapes/sexual assaults are committed by foreign nationals. Yes, English men do this too.

75% are English according to your statistics, which as I am sure you are aware is a much bigger number ?

Nasrine · 04/08/2025 21:31

@PandoraSocks

Could you link to your sources when you're using statistics to try to make a case that foreign nationals living in the UK are dangerous?

Because there are some truly crap sources being used by GB 'News' and The Telegraph.

Would also point out, if we're doing the maths - that for that figure (if it's accurate) to be meaningful, we'd need to control for average age of foreign nationals - offending is far more common in the under 40's than it is in the over 60's.

What a thicko that protester with the placard is. If she had to choose between walking down a dark alley at night past a group of male reform voters or past a group of male refugees.. I think we all know which group she would take her chances with. What a virtue signalling, attention-seeking, privileged, naive, disingenuous twit.

It is indicative of that mindset and actually I don’t think anyone is always safe, otherwise we wouldn’t have had some of the crimes reported.

I reckon it would be worth asking this question in Site Stuff. I would be intrigued to see MNHQ's reply.

@NaicePeachJoker

What is it that you think is 'awful'? Too many brown people?

MovingBird123 · 04/08/2025 21:34

I don't know if this is for real or not, but the number of posters who don't seem to believe that or understand why anyone would vote Reform is bizarre. This is how Brexit happened. Failing to take genuine concerns of a large portion of our population seriously, branding them thick racists.

Civil war? I doubt it. But this country needs some drastic leadership to unite the fractures in our society, and part of that involves quashing ideologies antithetical to our Western liberal democracy. Who do you think a civil war would be between?

Lonelycrab · 04/08/2025 21:34

EasternStandard · 04/08/2025 21:12

Do people refute this? I see a lot of ‘it’s nonsense’ posts, but on this one is it?

Yes I refute this @EasternStandard

I do not believe that by 2050 white English people will be in the minority in this country.

Why do you always seem to push the hardest RW narratives? I guess you’ll perhaps profit from those narratives. Or perhaps it’s in your nature Wink

We are sleepwalking into becoming a muslim country,

Can you please explain how that will happen?

I thought Mohammed was currently the most popular boys' name?

Beachtastic · 04/08/2025 21:34

I grew up in a multicultural area - mostly West Indian and Indian - and there was peaceful integration. The problem now is that some incomers covertly share a violent global agenda. Just a few bad apples, obviously, but we're talking really really bad apples with the potential to do serious harm. I really wish this wasn't so, but it is naive to pretend otherwise.

Yes, I’ve experienced this first hand. There’s a small town not far from where I live that I visit fairly regularly, and the situation there is quite different from what you describe. The area has a large population of Russians, Bulgarians, and Muslims, and there are even shops with signs in the windows that say 'no English.' This isn’t something I’ve picked up from social media it’s what I’ve seen for myself.

So yes, I have experienced it, and honestly, it isn’t a pleasant situation. I just wish everyone could get on!
