I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and I wonder if others feel the same. With everything going on, from the arrival of illegal migrants in small boats to a government that seems powerless, and with Farage gaining popularity because people are fed up, it feels like tension is rising across the country.

People are frustrated. You try to raise concerns and are instantly labelled a racist or bigot, even when your worries are about integration, safety, and national identity, not race. It feels like any honest conversation is being shut down.

There are parts of the UK where people who were born and raised here no longer feel at home. In some areas, if you are not part of the dominant local community, you can feel completely out of place or even unsafe walking alone at night. That is not right in your own country.

It is not just about people coming from Muslim-majority countries or those arriving illegally. There are also large numbers of Eastern Europeans, including Bulgarians, Romanians, and Russians. Many work hard and contribute, but there are also communities forming where people keep to themselves, speak no English, and make no effort to integrate. Some of these areas are experiencing rising antisocial behaviour, crime, and a breakdown of community life.

You can find videos online showing the state of some of these areas, with rubbish piling up, people ignoring the rules, and no sign of enforcement. It looks lawless, and it often is. But speaking about it honestly is considered of limits.

I live next to a Muslim family and they are wonderful people. Friendly, respectful, hardworking. So this is not about judging individuals. This is about a wider pattern where people are arriving, not integrating, and changing the fabric of our country in ways no one voted for.

We are a Christian country with our own traditions, values, and way of life. Why is it seen as wrong to want to preserve that? If we moved to Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, or Russia, we would be expected to adapt to their culture. So why is it unacceptable to ask the same here?

The anger and division in this country are growing. I do not want unrest or conflict, but I cannot ignore what feels like a serious shift. When ordinary people feel ignored for too long, things eventually boil over.

Is anyone else feeling this? Or are we just not allowed to talk about it anymore?

Yes. It feels relentless and very, very odd. Although I'm a bit biased as I'm a real life forrin. An Eastern European even.

I agree. That sort of talk is rife in some facebook groups and fuelled by the media, especially the Daily Mail, but in real life I know nobody who feels that way. i think life here is pretty good.

I think that no one has a problem with migration but the speed of it over the last decade has been what has unsettled people.

Perhaps @exhaustedandwholly look at the people that are driving the “civil war is inevitable” narrative. Understand that they are generally foreign based millionaires and billionaires that will profit greatly from this narrative..

And learn to read between the lines. Many don’t have the intelligence or knowledge to do this, and they’re being manipulated like the pawns they are, towards their, and this country’s potential downfall.

Thankfully a lot of people somewhat intelligent and also too compassionate to let that happen.

Do people refute this? I see a lot of ‘it’s nonsense’ posts, but on this one is it?

I live in an area where as a white British born person, I'm usually in a minority in local shops. My son was the only white (or white passing - he's 1/4th Caribbean) boy in his class at primary school from reception to year 6. There are two migrant hostels within a 20 minute walk from my home, and 4 mosques closer than that.

FWIW none of this has any impact on my quality of life, or my ability to enjoy what you might consider traditional British culture - music, literature, food, theatre. If I wanted to go to Church there are 5 Christian churches I could walk to.

Could you explain to me why you think that parts of the UK looking like this justifies racist riots? What's bad about the fact that the only people willing to take on the brutal hard work of opening a shop on our local high street are recent immigrants - because these shops need to stay open for 16 hours a day to make a profit.

You clearly think multicultural communities = terrible. As someone who lives in one, I don't agree.

Where do mixed race people fall in this equation? Do you have to be a certain shade of White to count.

Just to also say .. plenty of Muslims aren’t particularly religious, even the ones that there are have different beliefs.

It's not - parents can opt their children out. And many, many schools completely ignore the 'compulsory act of broadly Christian worship' requirement. The requirement itself is really quite Christian Taliban; the words 'compulsory' and 'worship' do not belong in the same sentence.

Although there is a move in Gen Z towards religion, this isn't all Christianity either. Evangelical Christianity is on the rise, but so is paganism and other forms of spirituality.

Your 'Christian Country' is mostly a matter of wishful thinking.

I don't think there will be because British people are brow beaten and scared to be called racist.

Lots of people on here must've lived a sheltered life to miss what's going on in most large cities.

25% of rapes/sexual assaults are committed by foreign nationals. Yes, English men do this too. But this figure kind of says it all, especially when comparing population ratio.

As for the 'No English' sign. I believe this. Where I used to live 2 men premeditated a murder on a white person. After killing him they sprayed the underground passage with 'no whites'. I see this with my own eyes. And I was racially abused myself in the same underground, as were many of my neighbours, and mugged.

The majority of people do want a peaceful life but the government is doing fuck all to vet these immigrants.
