Trans hate (I don't) and the same old, same old

1000 replies

RetiringRita · 14/07/2025 13:47

Well I've been on a few threads this weekend and the one that's been hijacked yet again was the question of trans hate on mumsnet.
The OP asked for opinions on whether that was a fair statement yet within minutes the question was ignored and the same FWR posters were out in force. They didn't want to answer the question so targeted their posts to state their agenda.

Sex as defined by The Surpreme Court ruling
TW perverts in women's prisons
TW perverts in female loos
Men in dresses
FTM having ASD or mental illness.

It appears those of us who sit on the fence are not entitled to be there. Those who cannot be bullied get shouted down.

I have been called the following :

Hand Maiden
Trans Ally
Not part of the sisterhood
Delusional
Captured
Shameful
Mentally ill
A liar (frequently)
A man

None apply to me.

Am I being unreasonable to ask for some understanding and compassion for trans people who don't fit the stereotypes listed?

It has been specified that women are people born female. The already in existence provisions for sex segregated spaces detailed in the EHR have not changed the remain the same as they did before the SC confirmation. The only difference is workplaces & services can no longer choose which males enter female spaces & which don't.

Nope. It has not been specified that “women are born female”. It was specified that where the word woman is used in the E act 2010 it means female “at birth”, however the court also specifies situations where protections against discrimination may apply to trans women (if they are perceived to be women) and where services for birth females may exclude trans men (if they. Are perceived to be men). The judgement no where specifies that providers must actively enforce the exclusion of trans women from all female spaces, only that it would not be unlawful for them to do so.

StMarie4me · 14/07/2025 20:20

OP they hate trans people on here. And as their guru’s hate shifts to others, they will hate them too. It’s frightening that they think that the trans allies are the indoctrinated ones.

I wasn’t replying to you.

What does compassion look like to you while we’re here? Why should I give compassion to males going into spaces they know they shouldn’t.

I asked for compassion in general. The thread is not about spaces it's about attitude.

Helleofabore · 14/07/2025 20:21

We have been told over and over by male people that it is cruel to exclude any male people who believe that they are female from any female single sex provision. Particularly if society acts in a way that affirms that they are female in any way.

So, what is compassionate really? and what is superficially compassionate because it makes someone feel good about themselves, either for censuring the way other people discuss issues, or for reinforcing their philosophical belief about their own identity that doesn't reflect material reality and means that by law they are excluded from some things that if they were female they would not be excluded from.

I never said it was fine but where are the prosecutions? Who is taking the pictures and not reporting it?
If I see filth I would be insisting on a police attendance.

Oh dear, the police are absolutely captured. That is part of the problem. They routinely turn a blind eye to the violent behaviour of trans activists whilst arresting and interrogating women about trivialities such as stickers.

Name them.
Or if you can't do that please explain how no males in female spaces is hate?

TheKeatingFive · 14/07/2025 20:23

How many times have we all seen the @RetiringRita trajectory now?

She's realised that she actually agrees with all us awful TERFs on the key points, but there's so much cognitive dissonance to be dealt with, as we are the 'bad guys', so she's all about tone (compassion) to try to maintain her sense that she still has the moral high ground.

We've m seen this play out so many times already.

Are you including agender people in that, OP?
Genuine question as many seem to think that trans means wanting to be the opposite sex.

I see this question, 7th response into the thread, did not get answered by the OP.
Surely setting out who you're talking about is important to reach genuine understanding?

So much of the anger from posters who come here thinking they know what I believe (then prove that they're wrong) originates in having a different understanding or quirky usage of various key terms like trans, gender, sex, female etc.

But I'll just get shouted over by people determined to argue that no-one really wants to engage.

TheKeatingFive · 14/07/2025 20:24

Oh sorry, it's about 'attitude'

I don't hate transpeople at all.

I'll stick up for women's rights to privacy and dignity though.

Horseebooks · 14/07/2025 20:23

Hardly.

People have known for millennia that people cannot be the other sex because they say they are. And female people remain highly likely to correctly identify the sex of a male person through interaction, including observation.

What new points need to be raised?

Do you believe that somehow people have lost this knowledge ?

Several others have asked similar. Can you answer? Define what you mean by compassion, that you feel is lacking, towards trans people?

Evidence please. Shit or get off the pan, it’s boring now. Are you the poster on the other thread who because JKR used her initials and not her full name said that she was ‘hiding her gender’ and therefore made her a big transphobe? Yeah I’m not going to take what you say with any great shakes I’m afraid after that 😂.

RetiringRita · 14/07/2025 20:21

I asked for compassion in general. The thread is not about spaces it's about attitude.

Right, but what does this actually mean, "in general"?

We are frequently told how distressing it is to be trans and how we should be compassionate by accepting them for who they say they are, including into single sex spaces they believe match their gender identity. When we say, "not that", we are told we are not being compassionate.

I feel compassion for people who genuinely suffer from gender dysphoria, but there's not much I can really do with that compassion. I can't see them as a member of the opposite sex or support them using spaces for the opposite sex, which is what they want.

And I feel absolutely no compassion at all for violent trans activists who call for people like me to be beheaded, among other things. Why the fuck should I?

And why do these demands for compassion only ever flow in one direction? Who is calling for compassion for the millions of women who need single sex spaces?

Oh dear, the police are absolutely captured. That is part of the problem. They routinely turn a blind eye to the violent behaviour of trans activists whilst arresting and interrogating women about trivialities such as stickers.

Surrey Police accompanied Stephen Ireland ( founder of Pride in Surrey) on a school visit two weeks after they had arrested him for raping a 12 year old boy. They are so captured by "trans rights" that they didn't see any problem with a man charged with rape of a child going into a school and interacting with children.
