Posting here because of the previous thread about thong bikinis. Now let me point out that in NO time in my life have I had the figure to wear a thong bikini. I have nothing against them but I do wonder what the appeal is. If you are proud of your body and want to show off as much of it as possible, I get that. I can also understand wearing thong knickers for the no line look. But why wear a thong bikini? Is it cooler (as in temperature)? If it more comfortable than a normal bikini? Is it easier to swim in? You want your fanny tanned? I am asking a sincere question.

I only wear thongs so my butt crack has become accustomed lol! I don’t wear thongs bikinis as I felt a bit self conscious, despite having a nice bum! However I hate getting a tan with a massive white bum so I have got two thong bikinis for this holiday to wear…no white botty for me! Knowing my luck it’ll get burnt as it rarely sees the sun!

Because people want to show off their bodies. Good for them . But thats whats it is.

I absolutely HATE them. Recently went to an adventure type family swimming pool with my kids. My 6yo face is currently, for want of a better expression, “arse height”. Any queue we were in for the slides someone seemed to be wearing one of these. So awful and hideous!!! Can’t wait for the fashion to change!

There’ll be so many other arses you’ll just be one of many and soon forgotten about.

I hate to tell you this but generally cyclists don’t wear any underwear under their lycra. Too much risk of rubbing.

I just don’t like the idea of people (men) looking at my arse. It’s not like all men are gorgeous and fanciable. I don’t want some sleazeball or old man eyeing up my arse 🤢 Even when I was a gorgeous 20 something I would never have worn one for public consumption.

Not related to the OP, but in Sabrina the Teenage Witch there was a song she used to sing that went “Shake yo wammy fanny, funky song funky song, shake yo wammy fanny fu-unky song!” and it’s been on repeat in my head for about 25 years.

I consider arses to be private parts of the body. I don't want to see yours and I wouldn't flash mine around in a public setting.

I wore a thing twice and never again. Incredibly uncomfortable, to me anyway.

I love the idea of not having a white bum at the end of a holiday so I would wear one on a beach - EXCEPT that I’ve tried wearing thong knickers and hated it. The constant feeling of them there in my crack, I’d spend the whole day trying to pull them out. I think it might depend on the size/shape of your butt? Maybe my crack is too deep. Also, I’m no germaphobe but it feels a bit gross to have my undies inside the crack rubbing against my actual arsehole...
