Went shopping today & saw this muzzled dog opposite. Gave me a shock as I v rarely see muzzled dogs in my area & never ones that resemble XL Bullies. I know the pic is blurred,

It looks like I've not got my glasses on.

I wish! The legs, tail & face were not at all Lab-like. Possibly not XL Bully but def somewhat similar.
I wouldn't be complaining if I saw a dog like this!

Sorry meant to attach link- https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-68492504

The fat lab has clear differences- assuming you weren't joking, cranky.

It could be anything by that photo. Possibly a pygmy hippo. 😂

Accessrights · 01/03/2025 03:47

I’m afraid that the picture you have posted won’t help anyone to identify what type of dog it is.

Monty27 · 01/03/2025 03:49

Tortoise?

RawBloomers · 01/03/2025 03:58

Escaped moustache?

MindlessDaydream · 01/03/2025 03:59

It looks like a really fat dog. Not sure about lab because tail looks really thin. It might be muzzled because it eats everything. 🤷🏻‍♀️

IAmTheLittleThings · 01/03/2025 04:06

Even if it is an XL, (no fucking idea from that photo 🤷🏻‍♀️) the dog is muzzled you say.
This could be because it is a registered XL, a dog that has XL characteristics and has had to be registered, a dog that is fearful of other dogs, a dog that will eat anything, or an owner fed up to the back teeth of people side eyeing and judging their dogs and if it's muzzled it makes their life easier.
HTH.

InterIgnis · 01/03/2025 04:14

It’s easier to identify it as a short shire horse than it is to identity it as a breed of dog.

DogsandFlowers · 01/03/2025 04:18

Honestly just move on

TemporaryPosition · 01/03/2025 04:18

Why even bother uploading this? Of course it is too blurry to make a dog our let alone the breed

POTC · 01/03/2025 04:19

YABU to post such a ridiculously awful photo, shouldn't have bothered with it.
YABU to be making a fuss over a dog that was under the control of the owner, who was following the rules if it is an XL, and who did nothing wrong.

InterIgnis · 01/03/2025 04:19

It’s also not clear as to whether it’s taxidermied and/or smoking a blunt.

Miloarmadillo2 · 01/03/2025 04:34

How is it actually possible to take such a useless photo? Were you using a pinhole camera?

Even if the blurry dark object is an XL bully it’s muzzled and under control so what is the issue?

Mothership4two · 01/03/2025 04:36

I have no idea what that dog is from that photo. If it is an XL then it's a legal requirement for them to be muzzled in public. Was your issue the XL or the muzzle?

My son dog walks a friendly dog that has to be muzzled because of it's disgusting eating habits (you don't want to know) and he says it's a shame that the dog doesn't get to socialise much with other friendly dogs as there is always a huge exclusion zone around him.

This. It's about as clear as the photos of the Beast of Bodmin.

🤣🤣🤣

HelmholtzWatson · 01/03/2025 05:02

I was out walking around Loch Ness today, and captured this. I know the picture is blurry, but it looks like an XL Bully to me - what do people think? Is there an XL Bully living in Loch Ness??
