Went shopping today & saw this muzzled dog opposite. Gave me a shock as I v rarely see muzzled dogs in my area & never ones that resemble XL Bullies. I know the pic is blurred,

I posted partly as a joke as the pic was bad, but I do genuinely have concerns that the dog was a XL.. It's not pearl clutching over a muzzled dog. The dog was well built, w a XL- like tail & face. Thinking it over I agree w pps a XL would've been more muscular. But come on, there have been so many horrible threads on here about the monsters these dogs become , through no fault of their own, if turned. And I'm nervous even of friendly dogs, I don't think it's odd that I don't relish the arrival of possible XL Bullies when my neighbourhood had previously been spared. I agree it was probs a false alarm w this one. And yes, if it's a XL good the owner is muzzling it.

I love spotting dog breeds but don't really know about bulldog types. I can see now it was probs a staffie .

Learnt some interesting things from this thread : I hadn't realised Owners might muzzle to stop unwanted eating. I'd never considered a muzzle policy on public transport I think that's a good idea.

Oh come on...you guys don't want to admit that you were the ones fooled! This thread I perfect tho...it should be in Classics.

LOL, no this thread shouldn't be in Classics! 😂 No reason on earth for it to be! I agree with the person you quoted, you are embarrassed at the way the thread has gone, and you're backtracking - and pretending you meant for it to go this way. LOL!!! 😆

AliasGrace47 · 01/03/2025 23:31

Is the photo really so bad though? You can see the thin curved tail, the body...The head resembled a bull-type breed. Here's a DEFRA diagram to compare. I actually think it may have been a XL.
Anyhow, next time I'll do a better photo! Atm it looks like Fido is on the cover of a thriller about drugs, hence the possible smoking pp pointed out. 😂

Yes the photo is really that bad. And the fact that you’re asking makes it clear that your previous posts about it being a joke are embarrassed backtracking.

Agree 😂 Absolutely everyone came on in droves to rip the utter piss so OP gives it “No no, I didn’t even really mean it, I got you! Haha, tricked you all…” then adds “but yes, I did see the dog and think it was an XL bully and was genuinely concerned. Plus I didn’t think the photo was even all that bad”

Oh, honey…

Normallynumb · 02/03/2025 00:07

The pic is even worse than blurry ones where people claim to have seen the Loch Ness monster
Why bother posting?
If you wanted to post an interesting topic you would have included a decent photo

MissDoubleU · 02/03/2025 00:45

These XL bully’s are getting out of hand now. Spotted this huge one and it’s not on a leash either!

It stood a better chance if going into classics had OP not come back with that drivel.

WiddlinDiddlin · 02/03/2025 05:12

Sounds like it was muzzled and on a lead so I am not sure what the issue is, currently they are legal if exempted and following the exemption requirements.

JollyHolly30 · 02/03/2025 05:31

What a stupid, pointless thread!

Op, I think you need to go to Specsavers if you think that it’s not

BMW6 · 02/03/2025 07:57

But as the Whatever Dog was muzzled why the concern?????

If it’s muzzled what’s the concern? If it was a muzzle-less XL then I get it but it isn’t! All round this is a weird thread!

My neighbour muzzles her innocent looking dog as he eats shit!

Yep, saying your own thread should go in Classics is like organising your own surprise party.

InTheWindow · 02/03/2025 14:59

There was an XL bully, muzzled as per the law, at the fun dog show I went to today. He was the relaxed and happy with dogs and people and the best behaved dog there.

StephMcCormack1 · 02/03/2025 15:31

U can no tell from this photo atal that this dog I an XL Bully tbh looks like could be king corsso, or it look like a mixed bread with a sturdy lab I don't see the xl bully part he I own bulldog and it don't even compare to that so you can keep bad and shammin xl bully's when really it how there treated don't mean to say every dog that attacks is a XL BULLY that's what everyone has been made to believe these dogs can be nice dogs someone people just use there dogs for protection and attacking witch thats not wat a dogs for but ive seen many dog that arnt XLs attack humans an aggressive such as alsation King corsso, Japanese Akitas its how there owner treats them to be not dogs fault its a shame people use them in this way but I don't think this is a xl bully in the pic more proof needed trust me it ain't always the dogs fault young 18 year old lads train these dogs up as a shield as you all will know young teams run about with guns and knifes now adays that's why they think it kl for there dog to so not kl I love my bulldog hes 7 months old and wouldn't allow anyone to get him aggressive or attack mode

No and now I want to see it! LOL!

Nikishep89 · 03/03/2025 16:27

I told get the context? So what if ots a muzzled XL they are following the law

CowboyJoanna · 03/03/2025 17:09

A very popular dog in my area. I see XL Bullies being walked up and down the street virtually every morning. The scary scouse family across the way from me have one and hes always looking out the window, but I cant grumble cause hes in the house (i just dont let dc walk past that house but cross before they get to it)
