From what I’ve heard with the current drama surrounding her I’m shocked. Did anyone’s opinions of her change?

ps this isn’t a bashing thread

I just don’t believe she’d have escalated drama which could negatively impact her if she wasn’t being subjected to treatment she was deeply unhappy about. I support Blake, I think she’s brave for speaking up. Aside from that she’s a great actress.

I've not read the court documents but I've read some of the text exchange and listened to the late night voicemail JB left. I don't know, but I get the feeling he's a creepy man pretending to be a nice man. It all seems so over the top the way he texts/talks.

Hmm I just listened to that, I heard a guy apologising and afraid for his career and trying desperately to make amends, he sounded like he was intimidated and in awe of Blake and her connections … I don’t know what exactly he did. But it’s possible that Blake was being difficult and controlling. Also have to ask why Baldoni would ‘pick on’ someone who has higher status than him as an actress and in Hollywood. My initial reaction was Blake wouldn’t want this drama , but now think there’s more to it and I don’t know enough about…

discdiscsnap · 19/02/2025 22:02

Don't know her have only seen her in it ends with us.

Based on the current press/publicity/statements made my understanding is she's a actress who can be difficult to get on with/not always nice to others, who was treated badly on a film set and the men involved have set a smear campaign against her.

Regardless of her personality, all women including Blake Lively deserve to go to work and be treated with respect.

I mean..: Great female actor is pushing it.

He can prove his innocence though.

He has proven her claims to be false.

I have to admit, the more I read about it all, the more I am thinking JB is the victim... I guess the courts will determine the truth

Whattimedoyoucallthisthenhey · 20/02/2025 09:51

Her interaction with Amy Schumer was funny…looked like she was desperate to get people on side with her

Thats my feeling as well.

At the absolute minimum, with zero self awareness, BL announced (unprovoked) on a red carpet that her husband rewrote a crucial scene without any authority from the writers/directors/producers of a movie HE WASN'T in.

Not only is that bad enough but he did it in the MIDDLE OF THE WRITERS STRIKE!!!!

Whatever else happens, she LITERALLY announced that they had crossed picket lines

She also announced publicly that she had "stolen" the movie and shown her edit, with no authority to do so. She literally laughed about it.

At this point I think she's made herself unemployable quite frankly. Who would want to work with her knowing that she will literally do whatever the hell she wants? Shes a decent actress (i loved her in GG) but quite frankly could easily replaced by any other blonde woman.

I'm starting to believe the theory that there was a morality clause in the contract when Coleen Hoover sold the rights to Justin Baldoni. I think its been confirmed that JB refused to sell the rights to the sequel to BL and RR - what better way to ensure they get the rights than have a morality clause tested which would give the rights back to Coleen Hoover, who would then pass them onto to BL?

i agree and I think you’re right on the morality clause

I must admit I must be the only person who thinks the reporter was out of order referring to her bump. They had just met and if anyone I had just met at a work event referenced a bump I would have been offended too.

I will wait for all the evidence but BL’s ‘Ball Busting No Teeth’ and ‘Suppository’ comments are not professional and like I said could be seen as sexual harassment too.

Edited

BL had just announced (to the world) that she was pregnant. The journalist was simply congratulating her.

hjfoau · 20/02/2025 23:01

What I think of BL: I think she's a good actress, she's beautiful, and I admire how she's parenting her children as a public figure.

Hello there, is that you Blake?

As if half of these threads aren't being churned out by JB's aggressive, misogynist PR firm. Women can be so pathetic to fall over for men like JB and JD.

TurquoiseDress · 23/02/2025 13:27

Really, I'm not falling over for any of those men

TurquoiseDress · 23/02/2025 13:30

Given all the evidence available online, for both parties, I've come to my (own) logical conclusion that BL is rather flimsy with the truth.

Nobody, whether male or female, should have to put up with SH in the workplace (or anywhere else) but I'm not going to blindly support a women just because I'm the same sex...her allegations just do not stack up (to my non legally trained brain)

ohyesido · 23/02/2025 13:34

I love her. She's beautiful and aware that she's been taken advantage of by someone who recognised that she was vulnerable

Can you explain then the list of requests for her to continue on set? If the requests are false why did JB not get an attorney to dispute the claims? If you accept that JB or his lawyer did not dispute the claims at the time, can you explain why you think this apparent behaviour is acceptable?

  1. No more showing nude videos or images of women, including producer's wife, to BL and/or her employees.
  2. No more mention of Mr Baldoni's or Mr Heath's previous "pornography addiction" or BL's lack of pornography consumption to BL or to other crew members.
  3. No more discussions to BL and/or her employees about personal experiences with sex, including as it relates to spouses or others.
  4. No more mention to BL or her employees of personal times that physical consent was not given in sexual acts, as either the abuser or the abused.
  5. No more descriptions of their own genitalia to BL.
  6. No more jokes or disparaging comments to be made to BL and/or her employees about HR complaints Wayfarer has already received on set, or about "missing the HR meeting."
  7. No more inquiries by Mr Baldoni to BL trainer without her knowledge or consent to disclose her weight.
  8. No more mention by Mr Baldoni of him "speaking to" BL's dead father.
  9. No more pressing by Mr Baldoni for BL to disclose her religious beliefs, or unsolicited sharing of his.
  10. If BL and/or her infant is exposed to COVID again, BL must be provided with immediate notice as soon as Wayfarer or any other producers become aware of such exposure, without her needing to uncover days later herself.
11.An intimacy coordinator must be present at all times when BL is on set
LadyTottingham · 23/02/2025 13:59

I’d be interested to know in what ways people think BL has been taken advantage of?

She was very much trying to call all the shots and re-write the script for a movie that wasn’t even hers.

JB had already spent millions on the film by this point. He couldn’t afford for her to walk. I think she had him over a barrel financially (or so she thought).

People, including her best friend of 10 years, are now putting considerable distance between themselves and BL.

It’s a hot mess. It would be interesting if it went all the way to court but I don’t think it will.

WhyDidPunxutawneyPhilHaveToSeeHisShadow · 23/02/2025 14:10

Good God. We did all this before on another thread and it aged like milk.
If anyone can actually provide facts/documentation against the toxic behaviour on set rather than opinions on Blake Lively especially the posters claiming/insisting Justin has "proven" her allegations to be untrue, please post the receipts.
I'll accept any links/evidence other than sleb twaddle.
Cannot believe how many of these posts are bollocks.

I watched IEWU on an airplane. Didnt finish it and don’t need to. Liked Atlas and Allysa and not really anyone else. BL had that same success as Katie Holmes but it doesn’t translate well to more adult roles. It seems smarmy and low budget to me. I read a lot and have read several CH books (given to me) but stopped becuse each book had an underlying theme of abuse and I didn’t enjoy the storyline. The books seemed shallow and contrived and so did the movie. BL seems very nervous to me in interviews…the rambling, her hand gestures, her responses (the bump interview). What I have been noticing this weekend on Instagram is how very uncomfortable her costars are in these interviews…Leighton Meister Anna Kendrick America Ferrera Brandon Sklenar. They seemed simultaneously overwhelmed by her talking and deeply annoyed by her and unable to mask this. They all show pure exasperation with her. It reminded me of all the very visible post production angst of Don’t Worry Darling.

I love her. She's beautiful and aware that she's been taken advantage of by someone who recognised that she was vulnerable

how was she vulnerable though? Genuine question ? She’s married to A list actor, best friends with A list celebrity Taylor swift , boasts about her power and superiority due to her connections seemingly to intimidate baldoni ( who was apparently threatened on set by RR). JB had put millions into the film, Blake was essentially his star of the show that he couldn’t afford to lose, she was apparently stealing control of the film and knew she had him over a barrel. Why would JB jeapardise his career by picking on someone who is higher ranking than him in Hollywood? I was it seems in a vulnerable position as BL was calling the shots and put him in a difficult situation…. I am also mindful that I don’t know the full story and it’s possible that BL is innocent party here

Coolasfeck · 23/02/2025 16:34

Well the question in the OP is ‘what do I think of BL?’ Overall not much. Getting married at a slave plantation in front of the building below is suspect and shows poor judgement and morals.

In regard to the case, I’ll wait to see the verdict. I’ve noticed the famous women who came out in support of her at the start have become a bit quiet though.

@Atomickitten how was she vulnerable though? Genuine question?

How that be a genuine question? Are you implying that if someone has money and status they cannot be in any way personally vulnerable?

Would you put up with this from male coworkers:

  • being shown nude images and videos of women including their wives
  • discussing their porn addictions with you
  • discussing non consensual sex acts with you
  • describing their genitalia to you
  • trying to get you to discuss your personal sexual experiences
  • discussing your dead father

And is it your belief that you should just suck it up, or that because you’re (presumably) not living in dire poverty you have no right to feel uncomfortable or complain?

Oblomov25 · 23/02/2025 16:47

I'm just not sure. Her films are fine. Is she a diva and demanding on set? She's so powerful could she not just walk away from anything?

wipeywipe · 23/02/2025 16:52

The Hollywood reporter article brings in another angle. I still think it's a shit show
