What do you think of Blake Lively?

From what I’ve heard with the current drama surrounding her I’m shocked. Did anyone’s opinions of her change?

I don’t have an opinion on any of their personalities but what I don’t understand is why we’re discussing whether Lively was bitchy towards interviewers when we should be talking about women facing sexual harassment in the workplace.

People say ‘it’s not a smear campaign if she said and did the things she did’ - maybe not, but it is a VERY good distraction campaign to avoid taking about Baldoni and friends’ behaviour in the workplace. That is the main bit we should be thinking about here - the level of sexual harassment that occurred and how we protect women within this industry.

I will be team Lively if there was ANY sexual harassment, regardless of whether she got married at a plantation or doesn’t dress well outside of the Met Gala.

I can't think of anything I may have seen her in apart from amazing dresses at the Met Gala so I've never really had an opinion on her.

When the complaints about sexual harassment were made I just assumed it was more of the same old creepy man in the entertainment industry shit that far too many women have to deal with.

But then I read the receipts and timeline, I've tried to fact check to the best of my ability and I think she's a bully. It's looking more like her actions were calculated to replicate what RR did with the Deadpool franchise which would have been very profitable for her in the longer term. I hope JB wins his case against her and the NYT.

I read the timeline and also came out with a negative impression of Blake Lively.

She forced her way into taking over the movie. She was a lead actress, not a producer. She insisted on a substantial level of control to the point where the studio themselves were emailing JB concerned about the level of infuence she was having. As a result of her interference, she ended up with a producer credit. The emails have confirmed all of this.

She admitted to stealing the edit and showcasing it publicly without approval to get test audiences to prefer her version. This is something she's admitted on film - not within the legal filings.

She also admitted on the red carpet that RR rewrote certain scenes without the studio knowing. The legal filings showed the studio shat themselves at that point because they needed certain authoritisation for that. This also needs to be pointed out that these "rewrites" were taking place during the SAG-AFTRA strike (of which RR and BL are members) - so she pretty much outed them both as scabs.

There is also significant heresay going on.

Allegedly she wanted JB to sell her the rights to the sequel but apparantly he refused. There was a rumour (unsubstantiated) that Colleen Hoover had a morality clause in the contract for the rights to option her books - therefore, there's a theory that BL orchestrated this whole movement so that JB was falling foul of that morality clause, hence Colleen Hoover could regain the rights to the sequal and give them to BL. I have absolutely no idea if this is true or not.

I also have no idea about the sexual harrassment relevations so I won't comment on those. But I do genuinely think she's shown herself and her husband to be difficult to work with, and I think that she's sabotaged her own career

I think sadly her career is over now either way.

She is one of the rare celebs with natural looking lip filler.

So I am guessing that you have not read the actual court filings where Justin's lawyer systematically dismantles her claims and allegations? He has actual evidence to prove that many of her assertions did not happen. He recorded everything (Jersey is a one party consent state in terms of recording). The scene where she makes specific allegations as regards his supposed sexual conduct did not occur in the way she claimed because the raw footage shows otherwise.

BL is a total liar and anyone who looks at the evidence can see this for themselves. The nonsense spilled here is shocking. Johnny Depp won his defamation case in court - Amber Heard was recorded on tape saying she did start a physical fight, he was a baby for not being able to take her punches, it is quite clear she was the abusive one.

And Justin Baldini has a ton of evidence supporting his side. But oh yes - lets just blame the male because they 'need to be told'. Ridiculous. Why does she not want to be deposed by his lawyer? Oh yes because her lies will unravel. If you are telling the truth you have nothing to hide.

And I don't think she will come out of this well.

Discovery will be interesting.

I think lines were crossed on both sides. One of BL text messages talks about ball busting but not with teeth! This could be seen as sexual harassment too. JB’s reply to this message was more professional.

Once we have all the facts and the depositions, paper trails and all the evidence this is when the full picture will be more accessible.

I have no opinion on her but Baldoni seems like a piece of total scum.

Don't forget the suppositories message. The pivot on that was not initiated by JB.

I have never seen any of her films/TV series so cannot comment on her as actress

Obviously it's been hard to miss all the media/newspaper reports about her case against Baldoni

From the clips I've seen of her in interviews, I cannot say that she strikes me as a particularly nice person in any way at all

She reminds me of some awful girls in my year at school who were bullying whatsits (I won't write what I'd like to as this post will probably be deleted!) and made many other girls lives a misery- not particularly mine but I saw the impact of their behaviour towards

In a nutshell, she comes across as a thoroughly unpleasant person

But I guess she's a rich Hollywood actress so I don't suppose she's likely bothered by what any of us think...

I don't particularly like her in interviews I think she's rude and arrogant and doesn't read the room, but I do think she should be able to go to her job and not be harassed.

I think she's a vindictive "mean girl" type of woman who thought her status in Hollywood makes her immune to criticism. Her and Ryan Reynolds always felt like the smug, performative couple making silly social jokes about each other because they loved how it would be picked up by the press. I remember on Tiktok last summer when people suddenly started to turn on her for being too frivolous in promoting a movie about domestic violence. To be honest, the movie looks pretty shit and not worth a 400M lawsuit on either side.

The only reason I'm more inclined to believe Baldoni is that it make no sense for a lesser known movie producer to go out of his way to smear or sexually harass an actress so much higher up than him on the fame ladder. It seems more like a working relationship turned sour, and Blake got angry and wanted to get petty revenge by publicly destroying his reputation and career.

For anyone who don't know the details, the lawsuit was filed in mid December and announced with a big article in the NY Times. Tiktokers managed to find metadata embedded in the images from the article that dated all the way back to October, labelled with words like "smear". It was obvious that the NYtimes were complicit with Blake Lively months before it was filed. Seems very nasty and unorthodox for a sexual harassment case. If she was genuinely "harassed", she would file the case and hope for justice. You don't get in contact with the NY Times and work on a high profile publicity smear campaign months before you involve the courts.

I know nothing of her other than through reading a couple of articles on the BBC recently which basically went through her claims and debunked them based on the evidence available. So I guess my opinion of her is she is dishonest.

I don’t get the dynamic on set. Even if there was no intimacy coordinator, did she not have assistants to call over or people in her corner ? Were there not people in her corner watching the scenes to ensure nothing untoward happened ? Incase she needed a witness.

Genuine questions, I don’t understand how this had happened to someone that’s relatively powerful.

There’s something really unpleasant about the way the media are slanting a lot of this and I don’t want to partake in trashing another woman. Whatever happened has happened in a work environment and it should be reviewed and scrutinised in an appropriate setting. Not trial by media.

Oh but to answer question, I was shocked watching a video where she said “I like your bump (too)” in response to the Journalist commenting on BL’s baby bump.

Also thought the Baldoni tests were next level full of themselves but not just BL and her fire breathing and pet Taylor swift dragon, but all of them, even Ryan. I had no idea Hollywood people carry on and talk such utter nonsense. They really were just all massaging each others but holes by text and now they’re clogging up the courts with it.

There was always an intimacy coordinator employed for the production. BL refused to meet with her pre production (but JB did) and there is raw video footage of BL trying to act as her own intimacy coordinator on set and directing JB how to pull her close to him in a particular scene. I would have felt very uncomfortable with the way she was behaving in that situation if I was JB.

What did he do that was unprofessional?

I must admit I must be the only person who thinks the reporter was out of order referring to her bump. They had just met and if anyone I had just met at a work event referenced a bump I would have been offended too.

I will wait for all the evidence but BL’s ‘Ball Busting No Teeth’ and ‘Suppository’ comments are not professional and like I said could be seen as sexual harassment too.

I believe Baldoni behaved inappropriately. I also believe it's been documented he is using the same disgusting PR company that Depp used.
