From what I’ve heard with the current drama surrounding her I’m shocked. Did anyone’s opinions of her change?

ps this isn’t a bashing thread

Bollocks. Do you know how many films have been below up during or post production due to legal wrangling? If Blake’s complaints were completely without foundation lawyers would have advised to dispute and not admit any liability because it could come back to bite them as it has.

I’ve no idea why you think Blake’s connections trump a billionaire producer - it’s just total nonsense. She didn’t have a fraction of his money.

Edited

Erm they clearly did dispute and did not accept liability by stating, while signing, they had a different perspective. If they didn’t sign, JB loses the millions he’s spent ( money that he’s loaned ) plus chances are Blake pursues the complaint anyway , gets the rights to the film ( as per the morality clause ) and makes it without him. And yes, A list actors / celebs hold more cards and influence than a billionaire producer. Money just wasn’t going to win that battle. It’s about power and influence.

No they did not enter into legal dispute over the contents. They signed. And that is a tacit admission of the behaviour however they chose to word the accompanying clause.

If they didn’t sign they got into legal dispute and if their version is true they win and Blake has to finish the film regardless.

BL did not get the rights to the film and the twaddle about relative power of actresses who are only as good as their last non and billionaire producers is laughable and not worth engaging with.

Mirabai · 23/02/2025 20:52

non = role

They signed stating they didn’t agree. They can argue signed under duress as needed to get film made. If they disputed and won the dispute, they still lose because Blake is not going to finish making the film. AND JB gets dragged through the mud if it goes to court. And has to cut his losses on the film. Maybe Blake has to pay a penalty for breach of contract but it’s nothing to her. But she apparently sneakily didn’t sign her contract so actually would have had to pay nothing .
If BL won dispute she’d get the rights to film via morality clause. As it happened she forced producer to go with her cut of the film and give her a producer credit saying she wouldn’t promote it otherwise. And tried to block JB from premier party. Blake’s power is her husband and best friend. Not herself per se. What exactly about my comments are you referring to as “ bollocks” , “twaddle” , “laughable” and “not worth engaging with”? You just sound like someone who’s worked themselves up and has resorted to throwing insults because they can’t properly debate. I think the only valid point you’re inadvertently making is that it’s you, not I, that’s actually not worth engaging with :)

I think there is a weird "Blake Lively is awful" narrative in the press right now, this makes me suspicious! It would seem someone is paying for a fantastic PR team.

Oh yes I don’t doubt it. She has attacked JBs reputation. Is he supposed to accept it or get a PR team on the case?

StopStartStop · 23/02/2025 21:35

I've heard her name, linked with MM and Amber Heard (sp?). Don't know who she is, what she does. Wouldn't recognise her. Therefore I conclude she is neither famous nor important. 😂To me, anyway.

XWKD · 05/02/2025 13:44

She strikes me as a nasty person, and did so before the sexual abuse allegations. That doesn't mean she deserves sexual abuse, or that she is lying.

Why does she strike you as a nasty person?

I don’t know but it end with us was the biggest pile of bollocks I’ve ever encountered and massively detrimental to lives of women worldwide. It’s

Why?

I don't really know who she (?) is. Sounds like a bloke's name.

Do you comment on every thread you know nothing about just to say you don’t know anything about it?

Ludicrous. I can’t up even be bothered to read it. “Signed under duress” 🤣

I did the same, said I'd never heard of him :-). I still haven't except on here, presume he has become a she. Is he famous?

Yes under duress. You’re not very good at debating are you , you just keep throwing insults around.

😂 You don’t even know what that means (force coercion threats etc) and if were the case the contract/agreement would be voidable.

wipeywipe · 23/02/2025 22:22

Just last week her own husband publicly made a flippant 'joke' relating to the ongoing drama between his wife and Justin. Glad to see him taking his wife's SH case seriously.

That confused me tbh as it seems weird to joke about it

I think my comment was exceptionally relevant and appropriate. You're threading about a nobody.

Atomickitten · 23/02/2025 22:28

Yes I know what it means. If I’m not worth engaging with why do you keep engaging ? Resorting to insults means you already lost the argument and just trying to make yourself feel superior but you’re having the opposite effect you see :)

So because “you wouldn’t recognise her”, then she’s a nobody and therefore what you say is very relevant? I don’t follow your logic. Do you have a God complex?

wipeywipe · 23/02/2025 22:33

@Mirabai if Blake had no power why did she get her own edit & her producers credit? How did Ryan rewrite a scene?

wipeywipe · 23/02/2025 22:34

Personally I think there is a whole lot of grey going on

I’ve not said BL had “no power”.

wipeywipe · 24/02/2025 05:47

Ok, not as much poser then?

The thing that's odd to me is the sexual abuse part seems less of an issue to BL & RR than the PR smear because I don't get why RR would make a joke about it.

wipeywipe · 24/02/2025 05:47

power!
