A man undressing in front of a woman without her consent is an act of intimidation and control. Men do not acquire consent by identifying as women

How and why has it become anything but voyeurism and control?

What on earth can be done to reverse the madness?

Trans staff should always be given dignified, adequate, separate changing spaces. Females should never feel cowed, silenced, intimidated into putting up with a man looking at them half naked.

And just now in the Peggy ET, Dr Upton, a male confirmed to us that there is nothing but a philosophical belief 'sincerely held' underlying the difference between a male who has a 'gender identity' vs a male without a gender identity.

There we have it.

Helleofabore · 10/02/2025 12:48

And Dr Upton just stated very clearly that Dr Upton should be in 'women's spaces' because Upton is a 'woman'.

And this really is where the slide of using preferred language gets us.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 10/02/2025 13:17

Dr Upton claims to not be male. Claims that he is biologically female.

I find it terrifying that he is allowed to treat patients.

Would he use male or female ranges for a transwomen's test results?

Would he prescribe drugs based on a transwoman being male or female?

Helleofabore · 10/02/2025 13:37

Upton most certainly did at that. Upton used the Veronica Ivy sleight of hand, dishonest approach.

Almost word for word.

'I am not a robot, therefore I am biological. And I am not a male according to law or others, therefore I am female. I am a 'biological female', is the way Ivy said it. And I just saw almost exactly this in the court room less than an hour ago.

Language is vital no matter how those who like to dismiss it think.

I believe that people such as Upton will parse medical treatment to 'body parts as another dishonest attempt to keep the word 'woman' and 'female' for themselves. They will say that a male with a transgender identity is a female with a prostate that needs treatment etc. We have all seen this in the medical information that is published using these words.

EasternStandard · 10/02/2025 13:39

A man can state he is biologically female

Every year there's more damaging nonsense from men. No wonder we're seeing push back politically.

Helleofabore · 10/02/2025 13:41

Can you imagine presenting this court case where the Claimant's barrister would have to use 'she/her' for this male doctor? Talk about the bias that would create in any judge's mind.

It is a case about a male being in the female single sex changing space.

Accurate language in this case is imperative.

Tg they can use he in the tribunal

We used to get deleted for that

After seeing this male doctors performance today, I don't believe anyone watching would be mistaking this doctor's sex at all.

Complaining about a nurse's 'aggression' while demonstrating aggression on the stand is certainly a way to influence people.

WandsOut · 10/02/2025 21:39

Is he saying he can't tell the difference between a man or a woman?

And he's a doctor?

Apparently it is complicated and that it is only someone’s erroneous belief that there a male has a male body. The doctor declared they are female over and over again today.

It was actually really too much to take in and process how disturbing it all was. And the eventual attempt to dominate Naomi Cunningham in demanding language etc.

I can’t bring myself to read the MN threads about today. I am still processing it all. To me, I said to myself on Thursday when I heard Upton’s testimony then that this male doctor had set the nurse up to fail from the start because she wasn’t compliant. But today show that in a bright light. I am concerned the judge will not see this though or will see it and feel this male’s behaviour was justified. It was shocking stuff today.

WandsOut · 10/02/2025 21:39

Is he saying he can't tell the difference between a man or a woman?

And he's a doctor?

He repeatedly said he wasn't a man. Whilst under oath.

He also said that you don't need man and a woman to make a baby. And that when a baby is born a doctor makes a best guess on whether it's male or female. And that biological sex doesn't have a meaning. Under oath.

I genuinely sat reading the transcript with my mouth open.

Helleofabore · 10/02/2025 22:58

Meanwhile, in Australia Kirralie Smith’s case is going through as well. The transcript from it is also bonkers. Including the barrister who seems to keep misgendering their client.

Upton at one point berated NC & the court.

He wailed if NC insisted on using (or misusing) words like woman, man, female, sex, etc then it would be very difficult to have any form of meaningful discussion as Upton had different meanings for those words.

He said NC was causing these issues by not using the TRA cults meanings for the words.

NC clarified when she uses the word women she means AHF and Upton pretended it was impossible for him to understand what she was asking.

He said this under oath. I was watching live.

Top level nutter nonsense- utterly preposterous.

When his KC (JR) tried to challenge her by asking who NC thought Upton attempting to dominate and force to do things how he wanted, and NC said 'me', all JR could do was squeak.

It was very telling, that squeak.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/02/2025 09:00

He made a pretence of not understanding when Naomi Cunningham said "women", "biological women" or "people who are literally women" and said something like "that's why we use the terms cis and trans women"

x.com/tribunaltweets/status/1888979078226550948

Only genderists and their supporters use the term "cis". It's gaslighting.

EasternStandard · 11/02/2025 10:27

I think men should need consent for this and if they don't have it then don't do it

This male doctor has clearly stated that they expect to be asked to attend to a female patient who has asked for same sex care. And would only leave if the female patient verbally rejected Upton’s attendance.

And also doubled down that even though they knew that their presence distressed a female colleague they used the single sex space regardless. Because that male doctor dismissed the distress because they categorised it as being due to transgender status - because to that male doctor they are female so rejected that colleagues attempt to state that she was distressed because the doctor was male.

This male person shows a complete disregard and disrespect to any female person’s boundaries.

And again, this shows the harm of language.

That is a problem for his current employer.

.He knows that the Other staff member has no permission to call him to attend.

He expects the Other staff member to ignore their training.and engage in misconduct.

Let's hope the Minister and his staff are working on ways to ensure that this becomes ironclad policy and practice throughout the NHS in the very near future.

Nameychangington · 11/02/2025 16:06

The NHS absolutely 100% does expect female staff to change in front of male staff if the male staff want that because of the male staffs 'gender'.

The policy in my workplace specifically says that the transitioning person gets to choose what changing rooms, toilets etc they use and to deny them that is breaking the law. Which is a lie, but is written in the policy.

The case at Fife isn't an outlier, this is standard in every NHS Trust policy I've seen. There are some on What Do They Know. Female NHS staff are not allowed to refuse to change in front of (some) male staff and are told it's illegal to not validate those males.
