Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

From what I’ve seen BL is no shrinking violet when it comes to confronting others, couldn’t she just say ‘don’t do that’. She doesn’t go along with things that make her uncomfortable.

She’s a bad actress, bad choice for the role and probably struggled to stay in character. He’s sleazy - but he’s meant to be. RR is controlling. Was there an intimacy coordinator? Some reports say there was. Going into a film like this WOULD be uncomfortable to shoot. A lot of actors talk about being uncomfortable and pushed on set etc. Some actors stay in character the entire time.

Just my take, nobody knows for sure. The drama must have boosted ratings though.

Jb should just drop it, that video just proves he was trying to land one in her constantly. played with her lip when her eyes were closed (may have felt like biting) kissed her neck really awkwardly. While she is twisting away, fighting to stay in character due to his actions and looking very uncomfortable. So he we pushing for unscripted intimacy while no intimacy coordinator was in set, because there was not meant to be any intimacy .. bingo. Compare that scene to the filmed one i dare you. With 4 kids she very much has better things to do than make stuff up.

It’s interesting to see how many posters on this tread have simply accepted Blake Lively’s allegations of sexual harassment. I must admit that I was absolutely outraged when I heard Blake Lively’s description of how she was treated by Justin Baldoni but now the Pleadings are available Justin’s responses give a very different picture. He didn’t fat shame her but had genuine concerns about his back injury, he didn’t employ some random friend to play the Obstetrician but a well-respected actor who has won awards, she wasn’t almost naked during the birth scene, she invited the two men into her trailer while she was breast feeding, she wasn’t shown pornography, she was on holiday on two of the dates she mentions and so on. Just how the New York Times thought it could get away with removing whole sections of email and iMessage threads I simply do not understand and, of course, when the missing parts are replaced, the messages give a very different picture. The bottom line is that it is no longer a “She said, he said” scenario because we can read the messages and watch the time stamped video for ourselves. It seems that Blake Lively’s desire to take over the production and to claim an executive producer’s credit that she hadn’t earned are at the bottom of this.

Both Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have gone very quiet save that her lawyers have asked for a gag order which is unlikely to be granted and in any event, there is now so much information / evidence out there that that horse has well and truly bolted.

The worse thing is that there are women in Hollywood who are genuinely being sexually harassed and each time a woman lies about the way she has been treated it makes it that much harder for a woman who has been sexually harassed to be believed.

@GloriousGoosebumps have you seen the list of demands that JB voluntarily signed up to during filming?

If yes, do you believe he did all the things he agreed that he would stop doing? If yes, do you agree that those things constitute sexual harrassment? If not, why not?

If you think he didn’t do them, why do you think he signed up to it?

And even if he was completely innocent, it is clear that she made some allegations against him at the time, and that he subsequently paid a PR company to spread negative stories about her. Why would an innocent person do that?

ETA: of course he has now denied everything - while you seem very critical of BL you seem to have accepted his account wholesale. Why?

I dont support him, I hope if its tested in court there's a fair trial and if he has done anything wrong he's brought to justice for it. I also am not a fan of BL (which doesn't affect my view that i hope she gets justice if it's due). She's been long reported since GG to be nasty and hard to work with. A smear campaign works better if the person actually has said awful things or treated people like crap.

He seems awful as well, but PR can only spin what already exists. She's been awful since GG, plenty of examples of her being beyond spiteful to her cast members at press events, yuck.

I don’t see it as damning for her. She’s asking him to talk not kiss, she pulls back and even covers her face with her hands. She looks uncomfortable 🤷‍♀️

There aren’t plenty of examples though - they managed to drag up one interview from years ago and ran with that.

Other than that the accusations were general and vague - “hard to work with” - yes, because she didn’t just accept the way he treated her.

The entire cast of the film in question backed her over him. They don’t seem to have found her “spiteful”.

But there are plenty of examples out there- you might support her but are we denying reality now or claiming someone has timetravelled to edit her openly mocking a cast member for being born in prison amongst other things?

I also don't really put much weight on actions of the cast as there's such a power imbalance. Things like nice pool are beyond weird as well.

@Onheretoomuch Yes, she has a mouth, she’s done it before. It’s on tape. She’s surrounded by people. Would it have been that difficult.
He wanted to go for slimy, she didn’t. He was the director.
Regardless she’s acting, it’s one career I wouldn’t want for that very reason, (getting touched by people that make my skin crawl!) Actors deviate from the script and do what they like. JL was the director so he called the shots I would presume, including performing a kiss that wasn’t in the script, I presume she knew she would have to kiss him at some point.
That’s my take, you don’t have to agree. You don’t know either, it’s just an opinion.

I guess we will see what happens - given he’s unknown and she’s a RR powerhouse.

@Feelabandoned No, of course, I don’t accept Justin Baldoni’s version of events unreservedly, but I do look at the issues raised in the Pleadings and put them against Justin Baldoni’s response. What carries the most weight with me? It’s got to be the independent evidence such as the edited emails / iMessages, the video of the dance scene which Blake Lively said / thought had been filmed without sound unaware that Justin Baldoni had been miked up so sound is available. Blake Lively gives an explanation of what was happening during that scene, Justin also gives an explanation of what was happening and we can watch and hear and make a judgment.

Re the concessions made to Blake Lively, you don’t detail the concessions you are referring to so I can’t be completely sure that we’re talking about the same things, however, Blake Lively did threaten to leave the project on a couple of occasions, Justin says he didn’t want to lose her plus he seems to have been overruled a couple of times. I can certainly see why losing your leading lady would be catastrophic. In the main, I think it could be interpreted as something you do for the greater good or sacrificing a battle in order to win the war.

Blake Lively had her PR firm, Justin Baldoni had his. I wouldn't expect anything else. It's the way Hollywood works. I certainly wouldn't expect Justin Baldoni to sit silent while sexual harassment claims are being thrown at him. Nor do I expect Blake Lively to sit silently now that Justin Baldoni is throwing allegations at her. What innocent person wouldn't respond? Ditto what guilty person wouldn't respond!

Can I just ask what her having an attitude and a mouth has got to do with her being sh? One has nothing to do with the other and we have tape of the other one he provided it himself. and the fact that he provided it thinking that it showed him his innocent is so telling

As I've said in my previous posts both can be true and her being nasty doesn't mean she deserves it, is lying or doesn't deserve justice; not sure about other posters but personally I'm responding to posts which seem to be insinuating people who aren't a fan of hers are brainwashed by his PR, and that its bad for women to not by default like them whatever.

I guess personally I just don’t see the relevance when talking about woman who’s been sexually harassed and smeared by her perpetrator, of whether she’s a nice person or not. Even mentioning implies it’s relevant and therefore it implies if it’s deserved.

But that's not the totality of the discussion of the thread? If you're choosing to make that connection that's up to you, lots of her fans make the same leaps to try and deflect from her behaviour.

Yes you’re right - there is a power imbalance - JB was the director, producer and lead actor in the film.

@Mollysay when was Gossip Girl - about 20 years ago? It is historic. The reason that stuff is in the public consciousness now is because of a concerted effort, paid for by JB. Everything you think you know about BL has been spun by someone, for better or worse. Same is true of JB of course. You clearly think you have formed your own objective independent opinion based on “evidence” but the evidence you are relying on has been selected by JB’s team.

Im not actually a BL fan. Only thing I’ve ever seen her in was some weird film with Anna Kendrick. I’ll tell you what I am a fan of - women not being sexually harassed at work.
