Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

@Glitchymn1 BL was the long term secret partner of HW for years, not just one of his brood of women (Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Lawrence, Gwyneth, Sienna Miller just to name a few). Her hand was very much forced when the allegations came out. She isnt as nice as people think she is.

All I can find is that BL said she wasn’t abused by HW. Please explain how NOT being abused by HW and being truthful about that makes you a bad person?

Her hand was forced in that she had to stop defending him because of the media backlash. Same for Gwyneth. The reality is she was his very long term partner. I think BL and RR are usually very shrewd with their image but have made a huge error here.

Can I genuinely ask a question, mainly to the BL defenders just because they seem so angry for want of a better word…..

From my perspective I don’t know what happened 100%. I saw BL’s initial complaint and fell for it completely if I’m honest. Then I saw JB’s response and what really pissed me off was BL’s team leaving out certain responses, taking out emojis so they were shown in a different context etc. Why do that? Didn’t like it at all.

Where is the hesitation to accept that BL has made mistakes like we all have? I just feel fascinated about where this level of fixation comes from.

Totally changing the subject but it reminds me of ‘The View’ I don’t watch it!!! But I saw clips of them saying what a great guy Biden is and how he’ll make his son go through an investigation because he’s not corrupt like Trump, then he pardoned him and they said well he is his son I don’t blame him. The show is an absolute joke but I’d have so much more respect for people who accepted failures and didn’t make excuses. For example ‘I do support Biden and I think he would make a better president but I must admit he disappointed me there’.

Whatever you think, BL has not come across well at certain times, why is she being heralded as a saint, this paragon of virtue? Even though none of us know yet. There’s not nearly enough information for us to.

Also I wonder what BL and RR’s endgame was with that complaint, do you think they’ve had a shock that JB has come back swinging or were they prepared for all this?!

I'd say surprised, otherwise they'd have no doubt applied for the gag order sooner.

On the contrary, she is being attacked so savagely and repeatedly that even those of us who have no interest in her can see it is not about anything she has actually done.

It's not that she’s a saint or paragon of virtue. In fact, I haven't seen many people claim that .

It's about moving away from the myth of the "perfect" victim. It's irrelevant how likeable she is or not.

A lot of posters comment along the lines of "she might've been sexually harassed/I don't know / it's possible but..... she's a dick." As if that somehow justifies it or explains it or makes it less bad.

As a society, We always fucking do this. Unless a victim IS saint like and a paragon of virtue we start doubting and asking questions. What was she wearing, what was she doing there, how much did she drink , how friendly was she , why has she waited so long, what underwear was she wearing, who did she sleep with, why did she still talk to him and so on. The list is neverfuckingending.

No one is “heralding” BL as a “saint or paragon of virtue” @TeddybearBaby - they are saying that her personal qualities and things she said in interviews years ago aren’t in any way relevant to how she was treated by JB.

I have absolutely no idea whether BL is a nice person or not.

But what I do know, for a fact, is that JB paid for a PR campaign to make people think that BL is not a nice person, so my starting point is to question any narrative that seems to be based on that PR campaign.

Ok I get what you’re saying I think….. she might be a nasty piece of work but that’s irrelevant in the context of her suffering abuse because both things can be true at the same time?

That's a genuine question too.

They don't need money, they don't need drama, they don't need publicity. They are multi millionaires who already get lots of press coverage that was, before this situation, largely favourable to them.

@whathaveiforgotten I don’t think you answered my question so I’m going to assume you believe all women, which is fine of course, just wondering! Why would BL lie? I have no idea because I’m not her but people lie for all sorts of reasons and it’s usually to get what they want I’d say. Not sure if this is fact, just my guess. Along with money goes lots of other things for famous people like image and ego, there’s loads of things, must be really difficult at times actually.

@BlueSilverCatsThank you for your messages. I definitely understand what’s being said more now. I try to take a step back and think let’s see / hear the evidence first. It’s such a delicate subject and I try to keep that in mind.

Absolutely they will always want publicity, I guess my point was that they don't struggle to get it and it has always been largely favourable, so they didn't need the publicity this specific situation would create.

@whathaveiforgotten yes it has been largely favourable, the plantation thing was well managed & forgotten. This time BL was in effect cancelled in internet terms and she really did step back. I think the strategy was this film was her platform to announce "I'm back, it's my turn at career success, etc". Hence the marketing tie ins with hair, cocktails etc it's a normal PR marketing strategy. After the backfire I do think she wanted to exonerate herself.

I assume they didn't expect JB to fight back, airing your dirty laundry public doesn't tend to go well though for anyone.
