Blake lively

Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

AH & JD were both super messy imo. I definitely believed Kate Moss when she said him kicking her down the stairs wasn't true.

Anothermathstutor · 22/01/2025 22:32

The people not seeing what it disproves…are you well?

she literally references this scene and lies about what happens. The footage shows JB’s version is accurate and hers is fabricated. The harassment is supposed to take place in this video.

RogueFemale · 22/01/2025 22:37

FoxDox · 22/01/2025 20:52

Yeah, because Justin is paying the same PR company that Jonny Depp used to run a smear campaign against Amber Heard. That is where you recognising the “vibe” from, it’s the same playbook.

This again. There's ample evidence, @laurwalsh see https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/21/business/media/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-it-ends-with-us.html

HolidayHappy123 · 22/01/2025 22:41

Looks like Baldoni’s publicist (the one he hired to destroy Blake Lively) has now found her way to Mumsnet.

I stand with Blake!!

RogueFemale · 22/01/2025 22:37

The “evidence” in here is also not complete. Did you read the law suit with the texts? Like every point in the law suit?

The NY times one isn’t brilliant but does make you call into question that there may be more to this.

His lawsuit against BL if you read it properly is very damning. The evidence appears overwhelming (read the footnotes, a court will actually decide though) and it shows lots of interesting new sides: he didn’t sign or agree or know about that list of demands - it’s evidenced. She made this a PR stunt and is now sad she’s losing. It’s got Ryan Reynolds all over it, people say he’s the most dangerous man in Hollywood. It wouldn’t surprise me.

Do you think RR got jealous and put his foot down?

Notosmartphone · 22/01/2025 22:44

I watched it and thought she looked really uncomfortable and was playing nice - which haven't we all done to appease a man overstepping?

VelvetWildflower · 22/01/2025 22:45

Blake Lively is a horrible person but the smear campaign she speaks about was brought on entirely by her own actions and historic interviews where she treats other people terribly.

I don't believe Justin Baldoni is the best guy on the planet but this is absolutely a shitstorm for Blake and Ryan who filed the complaint to the court of public opinion and when the public turned on her (before Justin's phoney NYT lawsuit to release 'his receipts'), she had nothing else but to double down and file a suit. The counter suit now has more evidence that's damning.

They've brought all of this on themselves and Blake should be shitting herself because no director is ever going to want to work with her again (less so than they already do).

Matronic6 · 22/01/2025 22:45

I don't think the video footage proves either of their stories. It disproves that he said 'you smell so good.' But nothing else.

I think there will be a lot of different interpretations of events. What I do find interesting is that the entire cast seems to be supporting BL.

IcedPurple · 22/01/2025 22:48

From what, admittedly rather little, I know about Blake Lively she doesn't seem like a very nice person.

However, she deserves dignity and safety in the workplace, just like any other woman. Her legal complaint seemed far too specific and detailed to be a work of fiction. Maybe not every allegation will stand up, but I cannot imagine that she made the whole thing up. Baldoni, who I had never heard of before all this, seems like a total creep.

Ghosttofu99 · 22/01/2025 22:57

ColinOfficeTrolley · 22/01/2025 21:36

I see her trying very hard to steer him away from kissing her - which is what she said she did.

I see her using appeasing actions and language to keep things 'light', like so many women do with males when they are trying to protect themselves - which is what she said she did.

Well done for buying the bs though and also being horrible about Amber Heard at the same time. Bravo.

This 1000%

The willingness from men to tear down women and villainise victims is an age old story, but the willingness of some women to do the same without any critical thinking is actually quite scary.

Amber and Blake are examples of modern witch trials.

menopausalfart · 22/01/2025 22:58

Yes, some people make shit up. This is a matter for the court to decide not some random on social media spreading more shit.

That’s clearly nonsense because at least two of her other directors have come out publicly and said what a wonderful person she is and that she is very collaborative. Paul Feig (who liked her enough to work with her twice) and Shawn Levy.

KitsyWitsy · 22/01/2025 23:04

I think she’s pretty awful and if the allegations are true, so is he. Have to see how it progresses, I suppose.

Puddingcloths · 22/01/2025 23:05

It was very cringey to watch. For me, it left the impression he was loving it and wanting more entitled schmoozing, and she was feeling about as turned on as a rotten sheep carcass, but had to be “polite” to avoid making a fuss. I think that’s a far more obvious explanation for her random diversionary comments (to avoid kissing) than a lack of professionalism. Who knows what was really going on. I should say I am male and have no idea who either of these people are until I read about it in the news. I was disturbed to read about the underhand PR campaign trying to undermine her general reputation, and how many journalists had been taken in by it and later backtracked once they realised they were being played. The video release will I expect backfire on him, just like the Spanish football guy who gave an unwanted kiss to that player in the victorious women’s team. I do wonder about the provenance of this thread, as it looks like a thinly veiled PR ploy or a desperate fan. The attack on her professionalism speaks for itself. No doubt the answer would have been the same if she’d thrown a glass of water over him.

As for the slur on Amber Heard, I also have no idea who she is other than from my interest in following the English court proceedings, which she won, regardless of the outcome in the US proceedings. Unpleasant.

JaneBoleynViscountessRochford · 22/01/2025 23:05

This whole case just seems like two absolute horrors of people coming into each others orbit and each thinking that they can destroy the other.

The thing with BL is that if she was a nice, decent person and not in fact a complete dick in interviews (her answer about what she would say to someone who disclosed abuse to her for example) there wouldn’t have been as much ammunition to use against her. The thing about her dragons (Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift?) shows the type of person she is, hiding behind her far more famous family and friends.

JB seems like a total sleaze ball and control freak.

Neither will come out of this looking good.

Christmasandallthetrimmings · 22/01/2025 23:07

Do you not hear her say about 3 plus times 'lets just talk, it's good to not give them the kiss straight away' and he says yeah okay then repeatedly goes in for kisses and neck kissing over and over. The script before the video starts says nothing about kissing or carressing, just that 'they are dancing and in their own world'. He keeps trying to lead it into neck kisses and more, without anyone directing this. İn the beginning you see her head pull back and she keeps saying 'they should just talk' because he's clearly going off script.

Harassment is not one event, it is a pattern of behaviour. This one video of everything that happened in front of the camera in one scene only can’t prove or disprove anything. It will be based on his behaviour on and off camera throughout the whole time they worked together. By the way, unless the touching kissing was in the script or agreed upon before they started filming it isn’t acceptable. It being a ‘romantic’ scene doesn’t give an escape clause that anything goes.

Actress is just another job title it doesn’t mean women have given up any rights to body autonomy.

Lots of distressing things have been done to actresses on camera in the past without warning or consent. (Look up Last Tango in Paris) I for one thing it is good that times have changed and women like Blake should be empowered to speak out about unacceptable workplace behaviour.

Do you hate all women, @laurwalsh , or just those with orchestrated smear campaigns targeting them?

Exactly. Despite the expensive PR/legal team takedown of Heard in the US, in the U.K. Jonny Depp can legally be described as a wife beater.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 22/01/2025 23:24

The thing about her dragons (Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift?) shows the type of person she is, hiding behind her far more famous family and friends.

The type of person who knows she would have had to tolerate being licked and pawed by an "ally to women" if she were not in the lucky position of having support from wealthy and powerful people, you mean?

Iamnotalemming · 22/01/2025 23:31

You mean the Amber Heard who was found in an English court to have been the victim of domestic abuse by Depp? That Amber Heard? As a PP said, I recommend you listen to the podcast Who Trolled Amber Heard.

Rainbowqueeen · 22/01/2025 23:32

Her complaint details several events of harassment which took place over a long period on several different days.

How can one video of one day possibly prove that all those separate incidents did not take place?? Really struggling to understand.

Anyone who leaps to the conclusion that this means BL is lying based on this one video is looking at the whole incident from a "vibes" perspective and not at all at the evidence (obviously as this has not been to court yet, we cannot know what the facts actually are and its not for us to determine that anyway).

The arguments against BL on this thread remind me of comments about rape victims - what was she wearing, she was smiling and chatting with him earlier, how could it then be rape. It's really disheartening.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 22/01/2025 23:35

I watched the footage and I totally believe her.
She's always trying to back away, she actively wants to avoid kissing him. I can just sense the disgust she has for him.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone that other people can't see it!! It's so obvious to me
