Has anyone seen the video footage that totally proves Blake Lively was lying about her accusations of Justin Baldoni. Total Amber Heard vibes from this and it's scary to think how many cases that can't be proved have destroyed men's lives.

And if you can't discredit a woman by saying she's drunk or mentally ill or lying because the man rejected her or gave consent (at age 11), and nobody is going to believe she's in it for the money or for attention, then you can always fall back on the classic "well she's a bitch" or indeed "she is a dick". As you say, it is always easy to find a reason why a woman is a dick if you want to, so if you recognise that people are looking for a reason not to give a shit, telling them the woman is a dick is a good strategy.

Nobody is ‘telling’ me that BL is a dick I have eyes and ears, have done so for years it looks out of her, she did the interviews they are not AI generated, her husband is also a dick and they are a bit power mad.

I didn’t say I don’t believe her, if you look at my original post I say that both of these people will destroy each other, JB because he is a pervert and BL because she has committed career suicide with her own actions, which have nothing to do with what happened on set (only probably not career suicide because her dragons will swoop in and save her no doubt).

Being a victim does not prevent someone from being a complete arsehole and pretending otherwise doesn’t really help anyone.

Besides this is all a PR war at this point isn’t it, the courts will see the actual evidence and make the decisions regardless of what anyone of this thread says .

Oh, will the court case be looking at actual evidence that Blake Lively is a dick? Or is that a narrative that is now just accepted?

Diomi · 23/01/2025 09:36

Who knows what went on between them? Their lawyers must love them. Two very rich, egotistical people who wind each other up and won’t back down. They are dream clients.

Spondoolies · 23/01/2025 09:42

I agree with everyone saying the video proves nothing, as they are both acting and not acting. However, I think it is clear she is trying to dodge the kissing in this scene and trying to do so in a jokey playful way whilst still trying to maintain ‘character’ for the scene. I do feel however that for this particular scene in a romantic movie, one would anticipate some intimacy so that’s why she is coming across as ‘difficult’ . Should she just go along with the scene as that is what she has signed up for or does every touch and interaction have to be choreographed?

I’m constantly amazed at how many people fell for the Johnny Depp is the Victim narrative.

Oh and BTW addicts like Depp are very often incontinent and almost always forget and or/deny doing terrible things. It could not be more obvious that it was him who shot the bed and like addicts do blamed someone else. And the dipshits of the world went “We love you Johnny you were great as Jack Sparrow! We know it was that awful woman!”

Im gonna listen to the Amber Heard podcast

You know what I found really weird at the time of the Johnny Depp / Amber Herd thing…

I didn’t engage in any of it. Didn’t click on any clickbaits, didn’t read any threads, didn’t look them up on social media. I don’t read “news”papers like the Daily Fail. I was a little ignorant of it… but Instagram (in the discover bar) FLOODED my discoverable with Amber Herd stuff - negative Amber Herd stuff. And I was really horrified by it so never clicked and tried not to hesitate as I scrolled by, as I wanted to retrain my algorithm. At the time I thought “no I don’t want that hateful content!” but, looking back, it was barraging someone who didn’t engage at all. What about those who did?

Then the same thing happened with Blake Lively - except I did stop and consume that but didn’t buy it and, quite early on, listened to a podcast episode that convinced me that this was a full smear campaign.

It frightens me how much social media controls people’s thoughts and opinions. I want to leave all of it, but I want to stay in touch with the accounts I like. I have no idea what to do.

I totally agree and at the time (I even posted on here) I was baffled by the Blake Lively hate. I’ve seen male actors have absolute tantrums in interviews but apparently we were meant to be horrified at Blake Lively because she gave a suitable answer about a fucking stupid question about how domestic violence victims can “find her to speak to her” (I was raised to believe that stupid questions deserve stupid answer).

Babybaby2025 · 23/01/2025 11:27

For a man to be hated and vilified by the media, he has to be evil, and a criminal (even that sometimes doesn't work, Chris brown and akon still sell out shows for example). For a woman to be vilified by the public and media, she just has to have some personality traits you don't like. She's set up to fail because it's just so much more fun to hate a woman

Yes and I believe both Amber and Blake.

Please explain how Depp's case - that he brought on himself btw, I agree you need to listen to Who Trolled Amber Heard - has "destroyed" his life.

arcticpandas · 23/01/2025 11:37

I believe her. But I did not believe Amber Heard for a second.

I believe her. But I did not believe Amber Heard for a second.

Multiple judges in the UK after extensive trial believed her. I think that has more credibility than a perfectly crafted smear campaign targeting the minds of the impressionable

Ok, totally not PRbot. I believe her.

I really recommend listening to "Who Trolled Amber Heard".

Seconded.

LadyTottingham · 23/01/2025 12:39

The AH/JD trial was a fascinating watch in a lot of ways and I watched it in it's entirety. The main take for me was how manipulative and just plain incorrect the media were in their reporting of the trial.

The evidence, with context, and the verdict were pretty damning.

Multiple judges in the UK after extensive trial believed her. I think that has more credibility than a perfectly crafted smear campaign targeting the minds of the impressionable

She was a witness for The Sun so he was restricted in the evidence he was allowed to bring.

JD subsequently got an apology from Dan Wootton for his part in The Sun
article.

Anyway, there were numerous threads on it so I'm not going to derail further.

caveat - I'm not a JD fan although I did like a couple of his very early films.

EternalSunshine19 · 22/01/2025 21:41

She gets a lot of hate because some people haven't forgiven her for what she did on social media about Princess Catherine while she battled cancer. Or how she promoted a film about domestic violence like it was a Rom-com, while using the film as an aid to flog her booze and hair range. This was all before the "smear campaign", no one can blame these instances on JB.

The promotion of the movie was how she was told to promote it. Actors don’t do these promos out the goodness of their hearts, it’s a contractual obligation and they have to go by the PR instructions - which in this case were “Focus on the positive messages of the films including flowers and fashion”. And actually this was conjured up AFTER she called Bandoni out on his behaviour. It also just so happens that Baldoni’s promo plan was different to the rest of the case, he WAS allowed to speak about DV when doing the press tour. Funny that

JandamiHash · 23/01/2025 12:50

beautyandTVisgoodenoughforme · 22/01/2025 21:44

Yes exactly. Focusing on one video, rather than the many accusations including walking in on her breastfeeding, walking in on her whilst she was getting dressed, talking about sexual acts and their previous pornography addiction in front of her even after she said don’t. It isn’t a case of different interpretations of what happened whilst the camera rolled. The legal complaint by Blake Lively describes a hostile work environment due to many incidents.

No to mention EVERY cast member is siding with her. And the author.

JandamiHash · 23/01/2025 12:51

laurwalsh · 22/01/2025 21:51

I watched the full clip and what really comes across is how unbelievably unprofessional Blake Lively is. Why is she constantly talking and giving him, the Director, directions? And then there’s the fact she completely twisted a small compliment between colleagues into a gross seedy moment to accuse him of sexual harassment. I’m so glad JB is fighting back. I hope he doesn’t settle. She and Ryan tried to destroy his career and they would’ve gotten away with it had it not been for Justin keeping receipts.

What career? He had a secondary part in a mildly successfully (but brilliant I have to say) telenovela. He barely had a career to ruin u like Blake

EternalSunshine19 · 23/01/2025 13:23

Did they also tell her to try and flog her booze and hair line at the same time as the film?? I suppose they also told her to name a cocktail after ryle as well, even though alcohol increases Domestic violence.

LadyTottingham · 23/01/2025 13:23

On the walking in while she was breastfeeding, the text his legal team released revealed Blake telling Justin that as she was ‘pumping’ did he want to come over to her trailer, he said OK he would come over after he had finished eating with the crew. She invited him. 🤷‍♀️

BarbadosItsCloserThanYouThink · 23/01/2025 13:31

The video neither proves or disproves anything.
I find it hard to believe she'd put herself through this case and have her name dragged further through the mud if there was no truth to her allegations. She has four children to think about and yes she's rich and famous but the stress must still be impacting her and her homelife with her family.
I maybe wrong and maybe people would put themselves through it, that's the thing, none of us know these people or the truth, just what we're being fed.

Good point re Chris Brown etc,
Jack Nicholson doesn't seem to have been vilified after assaulting a woman to the point of permanent brain damage and a ruptured breast implant. I don't recall his reputation being in tatters and his career over.

I wouldn't underestimate the US court system. And her multiple lies were all open for the public to see. A disgusting human being. And Depp is an old stoner so I'm not a fan of his but he wasn't manipulative as she was.

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 23/01/2025 13:52

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 22/01/2025 23:35

I watched the footage and I totally believe her.
She's always trying to back away, she actively wants to avoid kissing him. I can just sense the disgust she has for him.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone that other people can't see it!! It's so obvious to me

This is exactly what I thought when I watched it. Multiple times she is heard trying to politely discourage him from what he is doing. She looks extremely awkward and unhappy about his behaviour which was clearly not scripted.

BobbyBiscuits · 23/01/2025 13:57

I saw the video of the dance scene. What's clear is she is absolutely repulsed by him. Like deeply ick beyond compare. Which seems a bit weird for an actor who must have had to do multiple love scenes with people she may not have fancied.
It felt like she did not want him near her at all.

I did feel the comments about his nose were mean. She's well known for having several rhinoplasties so maybe she's got a problem with normal looking noses. Her husband has the nose of a nine year old girl? Haha. Ok so now I'm being too mean about noses myself!

I honestly have never liked her. But he clearly did make her feel uncomfortable judging by their interactions in the scene.

VelvetWildflower · 23/01/2025 14:21

The fact Lively has applied for Baldoni's legal team to have a gag order is suspicious. It's the only way they can fight back right now and just because people aren't fully on her side, it doesn't mean she'll lose in court.

I think she's a narcissistic piece of shit human being but I don't doubt she felt sexually harassed on the set either. Both things can be true but the way this has been handled means even if she wins in court, everyone knows how she stole his film.
